- Durch Fluidkraft betätigbarer Arbeitszylinder, insbesondere Pneumatikzylinder,mit einem Zylindergehäuse (2), das einen Kolbenaufnahmeraum (6) enthält, in dem ein durch Fluidbeaufschlagung verschiebbarer Kolben (8) angeordnet ist, der mit einer an der Vorderseite des Zylindergehäuses (2) herausragenden Kolbenstange (14) bewegungsgekoppelt ist,mit einem an der Rückseite des Zylindergehäuses angesetzten Steuerungsgehäuse (33), das bei der Steuerung der Fluidbeaufschlagung des Kolbens (8) mitwirkende Steuerungskomponenten (34) enthält, unter denen sich eine elektrisch betätigbare Ventileinrichtung (44) sowie eine bei der elektrischen Ansteuerung der Ventileinrichtung (44) mitwirkende Ventil- und/oder Steuerelektronik (58) befindet,mit außen am Steuerungsgehäuse (33) vorgesehenen, zum Einspeisen elektrischer Steuersignale dienenden elektrischen Anschlussmitteln (63), die im Steuerungsgehäuse (33) mit der Ventil- und/oder Steuerelektronik (58) verbunden sind,und mit außen am Steuerungsgehäuse (33) vorgesehenen, zum Einspeisen eines Betätigungsfluides dienenden fluidischen Anschlussmitteln (48), die mit der Ventileinrichtung (44) verbunden sind, von der Steuerkanäle (17, 18) ausgehen, die in der Wandung des Zylindergehäuses (4) zum Kolbenaufnahmeraum (6) geführt sind,
- Arbeitszylinder nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Außenkontur des Steuerungsgehäuses (33) nicht über die Außenkontur des sich axial anschließenden Zylindergehäuses (2) hinausragt.
- Arbeitszylinder nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Zylindergehäuse (2) und das Steuerungsgehäuse (33) im wesentlichen übereinstimmende rechteckige und vorzugsweise quadratische Außenkonturen besitzen.
- Arbeitszylinder nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass am Zylindergehäuse (2) im Umfangsbereich des Kolbenaufnahmeraumes (6) zur Positionserfassung des Kolbens (8) dienende Sensormittel (26, 27) vorgesehen sind, von denen in das Steuerungsgehäuse (33) geführte elektrische Sensorsignalleiter (77) ausgehen.
- Arbeitszylinder nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Sensormittel (26, 27) und die Sensorsignalleiter (77) in am Außenumfang des Zylindergehäuses (2) ausgebildeten Sensornuten (32) untergebracht sind, vorzugsweise derart, dass sie nicht über die Außenkontur des Zylindergehäuses (2) hinausragen.
- Arbeitszylinder nach Anspruch 4 oder 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die elektrischen Sensorsignalleiter (77) im Übergangsbereich zwischen dem Zylindergehäuse (2) und dem Steuerungsgehäuse (33) durch eine dem Zylindergehäuse (2) zugewandte Öffnung (76) des Steuerungsgehäuses (34) hindurch in den Innenraum (37) des Steuerungsgehäuses (33) eintreten.
- Arbeitszylinder nach einem der Ansprüche 4 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Sensorsignalleiter (77) im Innern des Steuerungsgehäuses (33) an die Ventil- und/oder Steuerelektronik (58) oder unmittelbar an die elektrischen Anschlussmittel (63) angeschlossen sind.
- Arbeitszylinder nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Gehäusedeckel (66) einen Träger für die an seiner Innenseite angeordnete Ventil- und/oder Steuerelektronik (58) bildet.
- Arbeitszylinder nach Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Ventil- und/oder Steuerelektronik (58) an einer an der Innenseite des betreffenden Gehäusedeckels (66) montierten Elektronikplatine (68) vorgesehen ist.

- Arbeitszylinder nach Anspruch 13 oder 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Gehäuse-Innenfläche (46) von der Innenfläche des Bodens (38) des topfähnlich ausgebildeten Steuerungsgehäuses (33) gebildet ist.
- Arbeitszylinder nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die fluidischen Anschlussmittel (48) an der vom Zylindergehäuse (2) abgewandten Rückseite des Steuerungsgehäuses (33) vorgesehen sind.
- Arbeitszylinder nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 16, gekennzeichnet durch eine Bauform als pneumatischer Arbeitszylinder, wobei sämtliche Abluftöffnungen (53) an der vom Zylindergehäuse (2) abgewandten Rückseite des Steuerungsgehäuses (33) vorgesehen sind.
- Arbeitszylinder nach Anspruch 17, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass jede Abluftöffnung (53) mit einem Schalldämpfer (55) ausgestattet ist, vorzugsweise jeweils mit einer integrierten Abluft-Drosseleinrichtung (56).
- Arbeitszylinder nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 18, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Ventileinrichtung (44) ein Vier-Wegeventil oder ein Fünf-Wegeventil oder zwei DreiWegeventile enthält.
