Definitions
- the invention relates in particular to a latch needle for knitting machines.
- Some knitting machines require latch needles whose Tongues except their reserve and your closing position at least have another pivotal position in which the tongue is held resilient and not on the hook or the Needle shaft abut.
- This is in the tongue slot pivotally mounted tongue with one in the tongue slot arranged leaf spring in contact.
- Such a latch needle is known for example from US-PS 3,050,968.
- the tongue needle disclosed here has a bottom side arched tongue slot limited to a breakthrough leading to the needle back stands.
- the arcuately curved leaf spring abuts one end of the pivotally mounted tongue that the Tongue storage is immediately adjacent.
- the two Ends of the leaf spring are at the bottom of the tongue slot and bridge the breakthrough.
- At least an end of the leaf spring is at least in one embodiment with respect to the longitudinal direction of the leaf spring fixed to the needle body. This is in the tongue slot a small hole or opening is formed in the one Angled end of the leaf spring engages.
- the latch needle according to the invention has a in the Tongue slot arranged elongated leaf spring, whose Ends are held on corresponding bearing seats.
- the Bearing seats are on the narrow sides or end faces of the Tongue slot arranged and each have one Support surface and at least one of the support surface in essentially opposite opposing surface.
- the Leaf spring end is thus between the support surface and held the counter surface and thus can not leave the Escape camp seat.
- the counter surface can both on a connected to the narrow side of the tongue slot Projection as well as at one or more on the flank formed of the tongue slot projections be.
- the spring end of the leaf spring positive fit with little play in the bearing seat held.
- the leaf spring can thus unhindered both a certain axial movement as well, at least in one sufficient area to perform a pivoting movement.
- the spring retains despite securing its ends the bearing seats their spring characteristic. impairments the spring characteristic as they would occur when the ends of the leaf spring are welded to the bearing seats or otherwise fixed axially immovable would be excluded.
- the latch needle lies in the greater creative freedom in determining the shape of the leaf spring and its Spring characteristic.
- the leaf spring so be designed that they do not keep up with the end of Tongue is in contact. This can reduce the friction between the leaf spring and the tongue are diminished, so that needles with particularly smooth-spring-assisted Tongue, can be produced.
- the needle according to the invention is not only in terms of different operating conditions, but about it also with regard to unforeseen treatments, like blowing out with compressed air, for example to Cleaning the knitting machine, insensitive.
- the leaf springs are due to the special training of the bearing seat held firmly, allowing them through the action The compressed air slipping only slightly and not off the tongue slot can be blown out.
- the Leaf spring held on the bearing seats so that they are limited axially, i. slidable in its longitudinal direction is.
- the axial position of the leaf spring is then for example, by a V-shaped or otherwise bent portion of the leaf spring fixed with the bearing-side end of the tongue is in contact.
- the influence of production tolerances regarding the precise arrangement of the tongue bearing and the length of the leaf spring on the function of Latch needles are reduced.
- a Impairment or influence of the spring characteristic by clamping action on or in the bearing seat avoided
- the ends of the Leaf spring held under tension on the bearing seats is.
- the leaf spring is then in axial, d. H. longitudinal not movable. This makes it possible for the Bias of the leaf spring to influence. Also at In this embodiment, it is crucial that the Ends of the leaf spring not permanently or firmly fixed are. They are under tension but movable in the Bearing seats.
- the bearing seats are preferably designed that the leaf spring is not clamped to the bearing seats is.
- the leaf spring is movably mounted. This serves likewise the functional safety and quality of the Latch needle. The characteristic of the spring characteristic is not affected by the bearing seats.
- the counter surface and the bearing surface can be a Form pocket into which the relevant end of the leaf spring protrudes. This represents a particularly secure storage of Leaf spring
- the latch needle can be designed so that the Leaf spring in an existing between their ends Area constantly applied to the tongue and thus under Preload is. Alternatively, however, between the Tongue and the leaf spring also a slight distance be present, so that the tongue only to the Leaf spring applies when near its end positions comes.
- FIG. 1 illustrates a latch needle 1, which has a needle body 2 with a tongue slot 3.
- a tongue 4 which is with her End 5 extends into the tongue slot 3, pivotally mounted.
- the tongue 4 forms with one end on the needle body 2 trained hook 6 a thread space, the she opens and closes.
- the tongue slot 3 extends through the Needle body 2 through. He is in the preferred embodiment both on the needle top 29 as well open at the needle back 30.
- a leaf spring 8 is arranged, which is approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction (Arrow 9) of the needle body 2 and / or parallel to the Side cheeks of the tongue slot 3 extends.
- the leaf spring 8 has the task of the tongue 4 from to bring out their final positions; e.g. serves the leaf spring 8 to lift the tongue 4 of the hook 6 and in the to transfer shown in Figure 1 position. This serves to give it to another to open the tongue Device, such as a brush, to facilitate to engage with the tongue 4.
- the tongue slot 3 has two through the slot cheeks formed longitudinal sides and two narrow sides 11, 12 on, on which bearing seats 14, 15 are formed. These serve to hold ends 16, 17 of the leaf spring 8, so that the leaf spring 8 in the tongue slot 3 captive is held.
- the bearing seats 14, 15 are approximately gel-like to each other educated.
- the bearing seat 14th representative of both bearing seats 14, 15 illustrated.
- the following description of the bearing seat 14th thus also applies to the bearing seat 15th
- the bearing seat 14 has a support surface 18, aligned substantially parallel to the leaf spring 8 is.
- the bearing surface can be a plane surface or be a slightly curved trained surface. Your across too
- the width measured in the longitudinal direction (arrow 9) is something greater than the width of the leaf spring 8.
- the width of Leaf spring 8 is slightly less than that of the tongue slot 3, so that the leaf spring between the slot cheeks is mobile.
- the support surface 18 is opposite to a on the narrow side 11 formed projection 19 a Counter surface 21 is formed.
- the projection 19 overlaps the end 16 of the leaf spring 8 and thus forms with the Bearing surface 18 a pocket 22 whose depth is so great that the end 16 is held securely.
- the leaf spring go through a certain stroke H, at the ends 16, 17th leads to a certain change in length L1, L2.
- the location of Bags 22, which formed on the bearing seats 14, 15 are arranged (embodiment of Figure 3) , that the leaf spring 8 when it's its biggest Longitudinal extension has, with its ends 16, 17 not on the Bottoms 23 of the pockets 22 abuts.
- the pockets 22 are beyond that, so deep, i. the mating surfaces 21 are like this long, that the leaf spring 8 even at maximum deflection or displacement does not fall out of the pockets 22 can.
- the depth of the bag 22 is at least as large as the axial play of the leaf spring 8 plus the two Length changes L1 and L2.
- the leaf spring 8 has, as also shown in FIG. 1 it can be seen in a roughly middle area one e.g. V-shaped bent portion or area 24, which is resiliently applied to the end 5 of the tongue 4. From the V-shaped Section 24, two legs 25 extend, 26 of the leaf spring 8 away. A transition 27 of the V-shaped Section 24 to the leg 25 serves to the tongue 4th if it is in reserve. An appropriate one Transition 28 supports, as Figure 1 illustrates, the Tongue 4 when they are near their closed position located.
- FIGS. 8 and 9 Another embodiment is shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 shown.
- the bearing seat 15 is representative illustrated for both bearing seats.
- the following Description of the bearing seat 15 thus also applies to the Bearing seat 14 accordingly.
- the leaf spring 8 is under Bias held in the bearing seat 15. This is because her end 17 and the bottom 23 of the pockets 22 below Voltage on. Leads the leaf spring 8, in their Starting position the tongue 4 is not or only insignificantly touches a stroke H in the direction of the needle back, so move due to the caused thereby Length changes L1, L2 the ends 16,17 of the leaf spring 8 away from the bottoms 23 of the pockets 22.
- the leaf spring 8 is then freely movable.
- the pockets 22 are above out so deep, i. the mating surfaces 21 are so long that the leaf spring 8 not even at maximum deflection can fall out of the pockets 22. This is the depth the bag 22 at least as big as the Length changes L1 and L2.
- the latch needle 1 described in FIGS. 1 to 6 works as follows:
- the leaf spring 8 abuts against the tongue 4.
- the Tongue 4 is constantly moving back and forth. Slides one Sling over the tongue 4, this will be short-term, like Figure 4 illustrates, pressed on the hook 6.
- the tongue 4 deflects the leaf spring 8 in the direction the needle back 30 back out by the leaf spring. 8 at the transition 28 toward the needle back 30 presses.
- the leaf spring 8 is thereby deformed resiliently. Thereby also swing the legs 25, 26 something to their respective Bearing seat 14, 15.
- the illustrated stable position is one in which the transition 27 the Tongue 4 is supported and prevents, on the needle body. 2 to rest. By deflection of the leaf spring 8, the Tongue 4 are pressed against the needle body 2. The resilient effect of the leaf spring 8 transfers the tongue. 4 then back to the illustrated stable position.
- FIG 6 is a modified embodiment of Latch needle 1 illustrated.
- the latch needle 1 is in the tongue slot 3 a stretched Leaf spring 8 'without the V-shaped portion 24th arranged.
- the leaf spring 8 ' can either completely be straight or slightly curved.
- the tongue 4 has at its end 5 of suitable Place arranged flats 31, 32, the in the desired stable positions of the tongue 4 flat rest against the leaf spring 8 '.
- the leaf spring 8 ' apply the above statements.
- FIG 7 is another alternative embodiment a latch needle 1 illustrated.
- the modification Compared to the two embodiments described above alone in the training of the bearing seats 14, 15, wherein in Figure 7 representative of the bearing seat 14th is illustrated.
- the bearing seat is turned on by one the narrow side or end face 11 of the tongue slot 3 established paragraph. With this one goes Support surface 18 in a step, the bottom of the bag 23rd is to be seen in the remaining course of the narrow-sided Limitation of the tongue slot 3 over.
- the tongue slot serves at least one projection 33, which from the Schliezflanke can be pushed out and at his the Leaf spring 8, 8 'side facing the counter surface 21st having.
- slot flank also a Such projection 33 may be formed.
- Figs. 8 and 9 is a latch needle. 1 illustrates in which the leaf spring 8 under Preload is installed.
- the leaf spring 8 touches the tongue 4 first Not. Only when the tongue 4 z B. when knocking off the Mesh is moved towards hook 6, come leaf spring 8 and tongue 4 in mutual engagement.
- the leaf spring 4 then moves, due to the stroke H, in Direction of the needle back 30. This move the Ends 16,17 of the leaf spring 8 of the bottoms 23 of the pockets 22 away.
- the leaf spring 8 is then freely movable in the Bags 22 (FIG. 9)
- the spring characteristic of the leaf spring 8 is not adversely affected by this. Otherwise is the basic movement of a latch needle 1 after Figs. 8 and 9 are the same as described above.
- a latch needle 1 has one of the tongue 4 associated Leaf spring 8, 8 ', which is arranged in the tongue slot 3 and on the narrow sides 11, 12 in corresponding Bearing seats 14, 15 is held.
- Each bearing seat points a support surface 18 and at least one counter surface 21st on, wherein the respective end 16, 17 of the leaf spring. 8 intervenes between these two surfaces and held here is.
- the axial or longitudinal play is the Leaf spring 8, 8 'so small that the leaf spring 8, 8' even with stronger deflection not from the gap may fall out, between the support surface 18 and the counter surface 21 is present. This is the Leaf spring 8, 8 'in the tongue slot 3 captive held.
