Abstract
It is a tag -1- used to cover underwear both on the inside and on the
outside, covering both ends -2c-2d- of the elastic band, or multiple
layers of elastic band -2-6-7- or lace -2a-. The tag consists of two
parts -1a-1b- of which one is sewn on the inside and displays washing
instructions and manufacturing information, and the other seen on the
outside can display decorative patterns or the manufacturer's logo.
Description
- The invention concerns the manufacturing of a tag that covers both sides of the underwear at the same time.
- To date, the tags used in underwear were one-sided and sewn on the inside of the underwear, either stitched all around or on one of their sides, resulting in the tag hanging loose and often causing discomfort to the human body.
- On the contrary, first of all our tag offers the possibility to use the outer surface for a decorative pattern or the manufacturer's logo and at the same time use the inner surface for use, washing or other manufacturer's instructions.
- Secondly, there is no irritation of the skin, as the tag is sewn all around the elastic band or the edge of the underwear.
- The invention is a tag that is capable of folding over and covering both sides of the elastic band or the edge of the underwear and is then sewn onto the underwear.
- A practical application can be seen in the attached pictures.
- Fig. 1 shows a frontal view of the tag when open.
- Fig. 2 shows a perspective side view of the tag when folded.
- Fig. 3 shows a frontal view of the tag on a piece of underwear with elastic band all around.
- Fig. 4 shows a frontal view of the tag on underwear lace.
- Fig. 5 shows the tag on a slip, both from the front and from the back.
- Fig. 6 shows the tag on another kind of slip.
- Fig. 7 shows a perspective view of a piece of underwear where the tag is placed on the two ends of the elastic band.
- Fig. 8 shows a frontal view of the underwear with the ends of the elastic band put together.
- Fig. 9 shows a sectional view of the two ends covered.
- Fig. 10 shows a perspective view of a piece of underwear where the tag is placed between the two ends with the outer side visible.
- Fig. 11 shows a sectional view of the two ends connected with the tag between them.
- Fig. 12 shows a piece of underwear with 3 overlapping elastic bands.
- Fig. 13 shows a side view of the two ends of the elastic band covered.
- Fig. 14 shows a side view of the tag placed between the two ends of the elastic band.
- Fig. 15 shows a side view of 3 elastic bands covered.
- Fig. 16 shows the tag placed on an elastic band where the ends meet.
- Fig. 17 shows a sectional view of the tag covering the two ends of the elastic band.
- In reference to the pictures, the tag -1- is manufactured out of any suitable fabric material and consists of two parts. One -1a- is sewn on the inside of the underwear and can display use, washing or other manufacturer's instructions, and the other -1b- can be seen on the outside and can display decorative patterns or the manufacturer's logo. The tag is placed on the elastic band -2- of the underwear -5- or the lace -2a- of the underwear -5a- or the T-shirt -3- or the slip -4-.
- The tag can be used on any kind of underwear, women's, men's, children's, swimwear, nightwear, pajamas, always applying the same principle, that is the covering of the underwear on both sides. The tag is capable of covering not only one elastic band but multiple layers of elastic band -2-6-7- or lace -2a- or other kind of material used for holding the underwear around the waist of the human body according to manufacturing needs. A common practice is to cover the two ends of the elastic band -2c- and -2d- or the lace on the edge of the underwear perimeter.
- It is also possible, when the ends of the elastic band -2c-2d- or the lace -2a- or other material are brought together, to place the tag with its outer side visible and its inner side between the two ends of the elastic band or the lace, thus being attached only to a single layer of elastic band or lace. In that case, the use of the tag is limited to the outer surface.
- The ends of the elastic band are covered both when one meets the other and when they overlap, as if there are two layers.
