Definitions

  • the present invention refers to a cardboard box, of the type used for perishable products, a box which has been conceived and structured in order to attain a maximum mechanical resistance with a minimum use of material.
  • the object of the invention to attain that the box offers a noticeable resistance without deforming when stacked with other similar ones, loaded with products.
  • One of the usual solutions consists in prolonging the ends of the side panels with fins which fold around the end panels, duplicating the height of these and adding flanges to their free edge which after folding the end panel on itself, inserting the prolongations of the side panels, couple into openings located at the bottom of the box, thus attaining its assembly without adhesives, staples or any other element foreign to the laminated body of cardboard itself.
  • the cardboard box being acclaimed is of the type of those considered of high resistance, although with simpler structural characteristics than the conventional ones, allowing an assembly without difficulties, without sophisticated machinery and without the need of staples for assurance of the assembly.
  • the box of the invention is of the type that are constituted from a laminated, monopiece, stampable body, preferably of cardboard, wherein is established a central and rectangular area, determinant of the bottom, as well as four sectors that derive, after corresponding folding lines, from the four sides of the mentioned bottom, to constitute the two end panels and two side panels, all of this as is conventional.
  • the box of the invention presents the particularity that either the end panels or the side panels are double walls, so that in each case both the internal wall as well as the external wall prolong at the ends into respective extensions which fold over to remain attached to the external surface of the side panels or in its case the end panels, while the internal wall also prolongs into respective extensions with a vertical folding line in each one of them, determining two contiguous sectors, one which remains according to a diagonal plane in correspondence with the internal dihedral of each corner, and the other sector remains attached to the internal face of the side panels or in its case the end panels, fastening the extensions in every case by means of glue.
  • the internal wall as well as its corresponding end extensions, whether in the event of corresponding to the end panels or in the event of corresponding to the side panels, may be of the same height as the external wall or of less height, in which second case said internal wall remains far from the bottom, that is, that it does not reach to the bottom of the box.
  • the side panels in the event that it is the end panels which have the double wall, may have less height than said end panels, with the object of determining airing windows when the boxes are stacked together. This characteristic is equally applicable to the end panels when the side panels are of double wall.
  • the side panels may reach the same height as the end panels, having, either the side panels when the end panels are of double wall, or the end panels when the side panels are of double wall, on the top a trapezoidal cut-out determinant of the airing windows in the stacking of boxes together.
  • the end panels and/or side panels have some upper flanges added which are complementary to cut-outs provided to this effect in the bottom, to obtain a dovetailing effect in the stacking, avoiding transverse movements between the stacked boxes, so that said flanges or cut-outs may be located at intermediate areas or at the ends, in which second case the configuration would be angular, affecting both the end panels as well as the side panels, thus obtaining four stabilizing points between the stacked boxes.
  • end panels are of double wall
  • there are other sides which derive from the upper and end edge of the extension into which the end panels prolong and that fold over the external surface of the side panels.
  • the side panels are of double wall and the end panels reach a smaller height, with the internal wall of the side panels being able to be of less or equal height as the external wall.
  • the side panels present in each case a pair of upper flanges, complementary of the respective upper cut-outs, complementing with other cut-outs in the corners to attain the correct stabilization and transversal immobilization of the boxes when stacked together.
  • both the internal wall as well as the external wall prolong externally are provided to remain placed on the interior of the side panels, or in its case the end panels, thus determining a greater capacity of the box, by gaining space as a consequence of the side panels, or in its case the end panels, remain more separated.
  • the box of the invention is constituted by a laminated and monopiece body, preferably of cardboard, in which a central sector (1) is defined, of rectangular configuration, constitutive of the bottom of the box, which prolongs by means of four folding lines (2) into the end panels (3) and the side panels (4), determining its side walls.
  • the end panels (3) or the side panels (4) are of double walls, so that in the first case the external wall of the end panels, which corresponds with the reference itself (3) prolong into end extensions (5) which fold down and fit onto the external wall of the side panels (4), fastening to it by means of gluing.
  • the side panels (4) are the ones with double walls, the external wall of these presents respective extensions (6) which fold down and they also attach by means of gluing onto the external surface of the end panels (3).
  • the internal wall (3') of the end panels when they are of double wall, present some extensions with a double line of vertical fold, determining two sectors (5') and (5" ), the first of them to remain placed in diagonal respecting the dihedral corresponding to each corner of the box, while the second sector (5" ) of those extensions remains attached and fastened by means of gluing it to the internal surface of the corresponding side panel (4).
  • the internal wall (4') of these is the one that presents the end prolongations with the double line of vertical fold determinant of the respective sectors (6') and (6" ), with the first one of them remaining in a diagonal position in correspondence with each corner and the second one attached to the internal face of the respective end panel.
  • the internal wall of the end panels may be of equal height as the external wall, as represented in figures 1 and 2, or they may be of less height as represented in figures 3 and 4, being referenced in this case the internal wall with the number (3" ).
  • the internal wall of the side panels which may adopt the same height as the external one, referencing it in this case with (4'), as shown in figures 9 and 10, or it may be of less height, in which case it is reference with the number (4" ), as represented in figures 11 and 12.
  • the side panels (4) may be of less height than the end panels (3), as represented in figure 1, or they may be of equal height of said end panels, but in this second case affected with a trapezoidal cut-out (7) in correspondence with its upper edge, determining both in the first case as well as in the second case, airing windows in the stacking with other boxes.
  • the side panels (4) are of double wall, that is, the end panels (3) having less height or equal height but affected with transversal cut-outs in their upper edge.
  • those flanges (8) instead of being embodied in intermediate points of the upper edge of the end panels (3) or in its case in the side panels (4), are provided in correspondence with the corners, according to an angular configuration which logically affects the end panels and the side panels, being these angular flanges (8') complementary of cut-outs (9') provided in the lower part or bottom.
  • the end panels present centrally an upper cut-out (10) which cooperates in the ventilation determined by the windows originated either by less height of the side panels (4) or of their cut-out (7) in the case of reaching the same height as the end panels themselves (3).
  • Figures 9 and 10 show the box in which the double wall is embodied on the side panels (4), with the internal wall (4') presenting an equal height as the external wall and with those having two sectors (6') and (6" ) which remain placed in diagonal and attached to the internal face of the end panels (3), respectively, with these being of less height than the side panels (4) themselves, which are affected by the upper flanges (8) and the complementary and lower cut-outs (9) to determine a stabilization in the stacking of the boxes, at the same time that the ventilation is determined by the windows which originate by the smaller height of the end panels (3) and at the same time the cut-outs (7') provided in the side panels (4), contemplating that in the event that the flanges (8') are of angular conformation and in correspondence with the corners, as shown in figure 10, then the side panels (4) lack the vertical and straight flanges (8) referred to and provided in the box of figure 9.
  • Figures 11 and 12 show the same box configuration of figures 9 and 10 but with the internal wall (4" ) of the side panels (4) of less height.
  • Figures 13 and 14 show a box with double wall in the end panels (3), so that in the box of figure 13 the internal wall (3') of those end panels reaches the same height as the external wall (3), while in figure 14 the box presents the internal wall (3" ) of the end panels with less height than the external wall, showing in both cases how the side panels (4) reach the same height as the end panels and they are affected with a cut-out (7) to determine the airing windows in the stacking of the boxes, contemplating in this case that aside from the flanges (8) of the end panels (3) there must also be flanges in the upper end edges of the extensions (5) into which the end panels (3) prolong and that fold over and attach onto the external face of the side panels (4).
  • Figures 15 and 16 show an embodiment of the box in which the side panels are of double wall, the end panels being of less height than those side panels with figure 15 presenting the internal wall (4') of the side panels (4) of equal height as the external wall, while in figure 16 the internal wall (4" ) is of less height in both cases the sectors (6') and (6" ) which remain located on the inside, in correspondence with the corners, the first of them in diagonal and the second attached to the internal face of the corresponding end panel (3).
  • the side panels (4) present a double upper flange (8" ) complementary of cut-outs (9" ) provided in the bottom or lower part, with the particularity in this case that the extensions (6) which attach to the external face of the end panels (3), present a beveled cut that determines an inclined plane (11) which extends from the upper edge of the end panel (3) itself, to the upper edge of the respective extension (6).
