Abstract

The manhole cover mounting has an opening (O) and a frame (1) with a lid (2) and a pivot axis (31) fixed to the frame. The pivot has a flat (310) and an eye (32) for articulation of the lid engaged in the pivot by a reduced section guide (320) which prevents the engagement of the eye in the pivot at set relative conditions of the lid and frame. The flat can have an angle greater than ninety degrees and the lid can only be fitted on the frame in a reversed position.
