Abstract

A communications device provided with at least one of a path search means for detecting each path component timing contained in a reception signal received via a multi-path transmission line by using a phase-known pilot symbol contained in a reception signal, and a channel estimating means for estimating channel variations by using a pilot symbol. The path search means has a first path search unit for detecting each path component timing by using a pilot symbol, and a second path search unit for detecting each path component timing by using an information symbol and a pilot symbol based on a signal demodulated according to timings detected by the first path search unit. The channel estimating means has a pilot symbol acquisition unit for acquiring a pilot symbol contained in a reception signal, and a channel estimating unit for estimating a channel by using the acquired pilot symbol.
