Description

Fahrzeug-AudiosystemVehicle audio system
The invention relates to vehicle audio system with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
Such a system is known from EP 0 027 043 B. Such an audio system is operated with an operating voltage that is equal to the usual vehicle electrical system voltage of preferably 12 volts. In the case of loudspeakers with a resistance of 8 Ω, there is a distortion factor, particularly in the case of powerful amplifiers, which also appears acoustically and impairs listening pleasure. If, on the other hand, you want to work with a higher operating voltage for the amplifiers to avoid distortion, the inevitably occurring faults in the vehicle electrical system, which also occur on the supply lines of the amplifiers, result in clearly audible crackling and plopping noises.
The invention has for its object to provide an audio system of the type mentioned that enables unclouded listening pleasure.
Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe mit den Merkmalen des Patentanspruchs 1.The invention solves this problem with the features of claim 1.
According to the invention, a separation of the audio signals of the bass range and a separate amplification are provided for this. The high operating voltage is used only to supply the separate amplifier. In addition, the use of two independent amplifiers can also be provided for the mid / high range.
The amplifier of the bass range receives a supply voltage of preferably 42 volts, while the mid / high range is supplied with 12 volts, for example. Electrical interference does not affect the bass range because it is much higher frequency. The use of a supply voltage of 42 V thus results in a high power yield in the deep bass range with at the same time imperceptible acoustic disturbances. However, such a high power output is not required for the mid / high range. The use of 12 V amplifiers enables a sufficient power yield. The power required for the mid-high range can and will be kept significantly lower than for the bass range.
The invention is further explained on the basis of the drawing.
The single figure shows a top view of the systematic structure of an audio system according to the invention. An audio signal receiver (radio) 1 is connected to amplifiers 5 and 6 via optical fibers 2 to 4. At least one of the light guides 2 to 4 is part of a (ring) bus system.
At the beginning and end of each of the optical fibers there is an electro-optical or opto-electrical converter, which transforms the incoming electrical or optical signals into corresponding optical or electrical signals.
The amplifier 5 is followed by subwoofers 7 and 8 for reproducing low audio frequencies and the amplifier midrange / tweeter 9 and 10 for reproducing the corresponding other audio frequencies.
According to the invention, the amplifier 5 is supplied with an operating voltage of 42 V and the amplifier 6 with 12 V.
Due to the galvanic isolation of radio 1 and amplifiers 5 and 6, electrical interference occurring in but also outside the vehicle is preferably not passed on to amplifiers 5 and 6. A high power yield is possible with the aid of the amplifier 5. Because it only amplifies low frequencies and reproduced via the loudspeakers 7 and 8, high-frequency interference occurring does not appear acoustically.
The mid / tweeters 9 and 10 are supplied with a lower operating voltage of 12V. The achievable power yield of e.g. 20W is sufficient even in cases where the subwoofers 7 and 8 are subjected to a high output of 100 W, for example. Due to the lower power requirement, the distortion factor can be kept low.
