Description

The present invention relates to a ski binding bottom of shoe whose sole is provided with two parallel transverse bars located in the anterior portion of the shoe, comprising a body on which are mounted means of retainer of the front bar including a latch mobile and a lock control lever, a articulated link on the body and terminated by a hook coming to hang on the posterior bar of the shoe, this link being solicited by at least one tension spring and having a ramp of engagement for the bar, a stop retaining the link in a position allowing the engagement of his hook on the posterior bar at the fastener, the spring allowing the lifting the shoe by rotating around its anterior bar by storing energy restituted as an elastic return of the ski against the shoe.

Such a fixation is known from EP-A-0 768 103. It favors the advance during the practice not slipped, the energy stored in the spring exerting a push on the ski. It also ensures the return of the ski against the shoe during the practice of skating or skating, during the so-called return phase, when the ski is lifted off the ground extending at an angle to the direction general movement, before being brought back to the front perpendicular to the effective direction of displacement.

In this attachment, the link is articulated on the body of the fixation back of its point hanging, that is to say towards the heel of the ski, and its spring is itself attached to the body of fixing at a point located behind the joint. The lever for actuating the lock, articulated in the anterior part of the body of the fixing, positively activates the lock as well for closing only for opening it and means are provided to maintain the leverage closed position, folded down on the ski. This construction requires a relatively long fastening body and cumbersome. In addition, the maximum angle that can take the shoe with respect to the ski when pivoting around his front bar is relatively low, of the order of 20 °. Such a deflection is not quite important in the push phase.

Also known fasteners for practice cross-country or cross-country ski with a license plate provided with means for attaching the boot to the plate, this plate being articulated at the front on a base or on an auxiliary plate, and connected to the base, respectively to the plate attached to the ski, by a spring.

The object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages raised above the attachment according to the prior art.

The binding according to the invention is characterized in that that the link is articulated at a point located in before its hook and that the spring is attached by one of its ends to the rod and by its other end at a point between the hook of the link and locking point of the bar earlier.

Such a construction is particularly compact. It is habitable in an interruption of the profile of a streamlined ski. The position of the articulation of the linkage allows a deflection angle of the shoe relatively to the ski substantially greater than fixing according to the prior art and this with a shorter link. In addition, lever assembly control on the body of the binding is also simplified. The front part of the body of the binding can be shortened and the joystick can be profiled so as to fall back on the profile of a profiled ski, on each side of it.

According to one embodiment, the spring is attached to the lock. Closing the fastener is facilitated because it is sufficient to partially push back the lever, the spring loading itself to finish the lever stroke and to fold it on the ski, position in which the lever is held by the spring. The spring has three functions: pull on the link, hold lock in the closed position and holding the lever control in folded position.

According to another embodiment, the spring is attached to the body of the fastener and the lock is not stressed by the spring or by another spring.

The attachment consists of a body 1 intended to be fixed ski, a latch 2 slidably mounted in the body 1, of a rod 3 ending in a hook 4, a opening lever 5 and a pair of springs 6 connecting the lock 2 to the link 3. The attachment is here mounted in an interruption 7 of a rib 8 of a cross-country skiing 9.

The fixing body 1 has two bearing parts 10 and 11 on the ski by which the body is attached to ski by means of three screws 12. In its central part, the body 1 forms a bridge under which the lock 2 passes, which can slide longitudinally under this bridge. AT the front, the body 1 has a rectangular recess 13 forming two sidewalls between which is articulated the lever 5 about an axis 14. In its part central, the body 1 also has a groove rectangular cross-section 15 for receiving the anterior bar of the shoe like this will described later. Behind the groove 15, the body 1 has two vertical side walls 16 and 17 in each of which is formed a light 18 extending parallel to the plane of the attachment.

The lock 2 has, at the front, a central portion raised vertically 20 behind which is formed a rectangular cutout 21 extending according to the axis of symmetry of the lock. Behind this 21, the latch 2 has an elevation 22 of rectangular general shape in the back of which is formed a substantially semicircular groove 23. In this groove is housed an insert 24 having a C-shaped semi-cylindrical profile coming exactly fit into the groove 23. The lock is plastic and the metal insert. Behind the insert 24, the latch 2 has a pair of parallel arms 25 carrying a transverse bar 26.

The link 3 is a stamped metal part and folded so as to have two arms 30 and 31 having the shape of two parallel wings directed forward and the hook 4. The wings 30 and 31 have a 32, respectively 33, in which are engaged the ends of the bar 26, which also passes through the lights 18 of the body 1. The springs 6 are hooked, on the one hand, to the bar 26 and, on the other hand, to the link 3, more precisely in the front wall of the hook 4 that the ends of the springs pass through two holes that we can see in Figures 3 and 5.

The lever 5 has a portion 50 traversed by the axis 14 and having a cam-shaped portion 51 engaged in the body 1, between the anterior projection 20 of the latch 2 and the transverse wall 19, slightly slanted, body 13 rearward, boundary wall the hollow 13 to the rear.

The lights 32 and 33 of the hook 3 have a relatively long section such as 33a, slightly oblique and ascending towards the front of the fixation and a short section such as 33b, oblique and ascending backwards, so that the lights have a boomerang shape with the back arm is truncated.

The operation of the binding will now be described using figures 3 to 6. We will start from the position open position shown in Figures 4 and 5.

In the open position, the lever 5 is raised and its cam 51 has pushed the latch 2 by its part 20 forward. The lever 5 abuts against the inclined face 19 by a flat 54 and is maintained in this position by the thrust of the lock on the end of the cam 51, thrust whose direction passes over the axis 14 and therefore exerts a couple tending to turn the lever 5 in the direction of opening. The link 3 is in abutment against stops 70 formed in the flanks of the body 1 (Figures 1 and 4). In this position open, stable, one shoe, with two bars parallel 61, 62, in the front part of its sole, can be introduced into the binding. Of usual way, the foot is slightly inclined towards the front when putting on the binding. The bar former 61 is thus engaged in the groove 15 which the upper edges are chamfered so as to facilitate this commitment. The shoe, as well positioned, can then be lowered in such a way that its rear bar 62 abuts against the inclined plane 34 formed at the end of the hook 4, such that the bar 62 can push back into rear hook 4 and with him the link 3 against the action of the springs 6. When moving the lock 2 forward, axis 26 moved forward in the lights 18 and in the lights 32 and 33.

The lever can then be folded down on the ski in releasing lock 2, which is removed back by the springs 6, until its part 22 with the insert 24 comes into abutment against the posterior face of the groove 15, surrounding the front bar 61 of the shoe, as shown in FIGS. 3.

In motion, whether in classic steps or not skater, when the shoe 60 deviates from the ski in pivoting around its anterior bar 61, as shown in Figure 6, the link 3 is driven by the rear bar 62 of the shoe in pulling on the springs 6. The maximum displacement of the rod 3 is limited by the bar 26 when it reaches the front end lights 32 and 33. So is also the extension of the jurisdictions. 6. It is noted that the displacement of the link 3 and thus the elongation springs 6, is relatively low for a raising the shoe by 50 ° relative to the ski, which allows an optimal stride as well in not classic skaters. The elongation of springs being relatively very weak, these can be strong enough to ensure a good reminder skis and push forward in classic steps.

We note the short length of the fixation and the shape of the lever 5. The compact nature of the binding allows to house it in an interruption 7 relatively very short rib 8 of the ski. The lever 5, with its lateral wings 52, 53 oblique and divergent, comes to marry the trapezoidal profile of the rib 8 of the ski.

The fastener components can, of course, present forms different from those represented. For example, the link might be a massive part engaged between the springs 6 and articulated on the bar 26 by a single light.

The attachment shown could be easily modified to also allow automatic locking of the previous bar 61. Just plan a plan tilted on the latch 2, so that the bar 61 can spread the lock in the same way as the bar 62 spreads the hook 4, and remove its wall 19 to allow the lock to be moved to the front, the lever 5 being folded.

The spring 6 is not connected to the latch 2 'which does not differs from lock 2 only by deleting the part intended to carry the bar 26. The movement of the 2 'latch is provided entirely by the lever 5, by its cam-shaped part.

    Claims (7)

    1. A cross-country ski binding for a boot, the sole of which is equipped with two parallel transverse bars (61, 62) located in the front part of the boot, comprising a binding body (1) on which are mounted means for retaining the front bar comprising a moving latch (2) and a latch operating lever (5), a link rod (3) articulated to the body and ending in a hook (4) which catches on the rear bar (62) of the boot, this link rod being urged by at least one tension spring (6) and having an engagement ramp (34) for the rear bar, a stop (70) keeping the link rod in a position that allows its hook to engage on the rear bar when the boot is stepping into the binding, the spring (6) allowing the boot to lift by rotation about its front bar while at the same time storing up energy which is restored in the form of elastic return returning the ski against the boot, characterized in that the link rod (3) is articulated at a point (26) located forward of its hook and the spring (6) is attached by one of its ends to the link rod (3) and by its other end to a point (26) located between the hook (4) of the link rod and the front bar locking point.
    2. The binding as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the spring (6) is attached to the latch (2).
    3. The binding as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the latch (2) carries a bar (26) to which the spring (6) is attached and the link rod (3) is articulated to this bar with play (32, 33) allowing it to move in translation as the boot is lifted relative to the ski.
    4. The binding as claimed in claim 3, characterized in that the link rod (3) is articulated to the latch bar (26) via at least one slot (32, 33) allowing the link rod to move in translation.
    5. The binding as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the slot (32, 33) has, from the front backward, a first downward oblique section (33a) and a second upward oblique section (33b), the first section being appreciably longer than the second section, the position of the slot being such that when the boot is in the closed position, the bar (26) is at the rear end of the slot.
    6. The binding as claimed in one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the actuating lever (5) has a cam-shaped part (51) for pushing the latch forward.
    7. The binding as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the spring (6) is attached to the body (1) of the binding and in that the lever (5) is shaped in such a way as to push the latch (2') into the locked position.
