Einzelheiten, Merkmale und Vorteile der Erfindung ergeben sich aus der nachstehenden Erläuterung eines in den Zeichnungen schematisch dargestellten Ausführungsbeispieles. Es zeigen:

Die aus der Zusammenschau der Figuren 1 und 2 ersichtliche Vorrichtung zum
hydromechanischen Entzundern von stranggegossenen Brammen und/oder
warmgewalztem Metallband 20, insbesondere aus Stahl, umfaßt jeweils einer
Bandseite 3, 4 zugeordnete, in Bandlaufrichtung hintereinander sowie seitlich zueinander
in Reihe versetzt angeordnete Wasserspritzdüsen 1, 1' zum Aufspritzen
von Hochdruck-Wasserstrahlen 10, 10' mit etwa 600 bar auf die beidseitigen
Bandoberflächen. Die der Bandoberseite 3 zugeordneten Düsenreihen 1 sind zusammen
mit Auffangrinnen 2 jeweils um eine zur Bandoberfläche parallele und zur
Bandlängsmittelebene senkrechte Achse verschwenkbar und sind nach Maßgabe
des Signals einer Meßeinrichtung (nicht gezeigt) gegenüber der Bandoberseite 3
höhenverstellbar. Die Düsenreihen 1 sind zusammen mit den sie aufnehmenden
Spritzbalken 5 sowie damit zusammenwirksamen Auffangrinnen 2 auf der
Bandoberseite 3 innerhalb einer diese mit ihren Schwenkachsen aufnehmenden
Haube 6 angeordnet. Die Haube 6 ist von vier eckenständigen den oberen Treiberrollen
8 jeweils zugeordneten Hubzylindern 7 getragen. Der Innenraum der
Haube 6 ist in Höhe, Breite und Länge zur Vermeidung von Störkanten und Verwirbelungszonen
