Definitions

  • the invention relates to an article of footwear comprising a rod made of flexible material, watertight with water and having an opening closing through the at least partial superimposition of at least two parts of the stem.
  • the flexible rods consist of a outer material waterproof or lined with a material barrier type GORTEX (registered trademark) and a material comfort interior such as veloutine, doubling a foam.
  • This comfort material in direct contact with the foot is preferably hydrophobic for two reasons, on the one hand, for evacuating perspiration on further away from the foot and, on the other hand, prevent outside water from getting inside the slipper by capillarity.
  • hydrophobic material means both a plastic material and a material woven or knitted without wicking, i.e. not absorbing water by capillarity, for example a polypropylene fabric.
  • the sports shoes we can distinguish three families, the one consisting of plastic material and interior comfort slipper, including alpine ski boots, the one consisting of soft-stemmed shoes and frame or reinforcements including surfing shoes and skate shoes and that made up of walking and mountain shoes in which the stem ensures both tightness and comfort.
  • the seal is usually provided by the contact between the flaps of the shell and a trim of rubber at the anterior end of the flaps.
  • This sealing is sometimes complemented by a trim extending between the flaps (EP-A-583 565) or by a reported membrane forming a kind of bellows between the flaps (FR-A-2 691 884, EP-A-0 572 775) .
  • La gasket can be part of a room extending on the front and one of the sides of the shoe (EP-A-0 517 219). It has also been proposed to improve the seal between the flaps by forming or by attaching a soft lip to the end of one of flaps (EP-A-0 615 703).
  • the closure of the liner comfort interior is usually not waterproof.
  • the bellows construction provides a good tightness, but the folded bellows form a overthickness likely to create a zone of unpleasant localized compression.
  • a reduction of size of the bellows is at the expense of the amplitude opening of the boot and therefore of the boot and the heaving.
  • obtaining a bellows complicates the manufacture of the shoe.
  • this seam constitutes a zone of penetration of water.
  • the invention aims to ensure a good seal an article of footwear with a flexible upper by means simple and without bellows.
  • the article of footwear according to the invention is defined by the claim 1.
  • the parts of the stem which are superimposed during of the closure can be both flaps that a tongue and the edges of the notch closed by this tongue.
  • the article of footwear will preferably comprise two, even three beads forming two or three successive barriers to water.
  • these bulges are flexible and deformable, in particular by compression, so that they ensure contact continuous and waterproof between the two superimposed parts.
  • flaps although a distinction be made between shoes with two flaps identifiable as such and the shoes comprising a single flap, the area of the stem covered by a flap can be likened to a flap.
  • the appended drawing represents, by way of example, three modes of execution of the article of footwear according to the invention.
  • Figure 1 shows an alpine ski boot perforated with flexible rod in closed position.
  • Figure 2 shows the stem of the same shoe in open position.
  • Figure 3 shows a vertical cross section of the rod shown in Figure 2.
  • Figure 4 shows a slipper with tongue exterior.
  • Figure 5 shows a slipper with tongue interior.
  • the shoe represented in FIG. essentially a flexible rod 1, a frame 2 and a hinged collar 3 on the frame in the malleolar area at a point 4 and at an opposite point located on the other side of the shoe.
  • the flexible rod 1 is a high stem made of waterproof material with water, covered with interior padding for example made of polypropylene fabric. It opens on the front, almost to the end. For this purpose she has two flaps 5 and 6, better visible in the figure 2. At least the inside face of the flap 5 is made of a material that does not absorb water by capillarity. The whole stem could be equipped with a inner lining of hydrophobic material.
  • the flap 6 present, on its outer face, a first bead 7 extending continuously along the flap, in following approximately the contour of the edge of the flap 6, and a second bead 8 located at a certain distance from the bead 7, but so as to be covered by the flap 5 when the shoe is closed.
  • the beads 7 and 8 act as trimmings sealing. Watertightness is mainly ensured by the bead 7, but the bead 8 constitutes a first barrier. It would of course be possible to provide a third bead, or on the flap 6, between the beads 7 and 8, or on the flap 5.
  • the stem presents a part flexible 9 forming bellows and ensuring continuity between the flap 5 and the upper part 10 of the rod while allowing easy bending of the rod at this level.
  • the beads can be formed on either flap or on both flaps.
  • the frame 2 is a cradle for the stem 1.
  • This cradle includes the heel 11 of the shoe with a sidewalk back 12. At the front, the cradle has a sidewalk before 13.
  • Rod 1 and frame 2 are joined together by the injection of a flexible plastic material 14.
  • the frame 2 further has two side parts ascending, such as Part 15, equipped with two tabs 16 and 17 for receiving a loop of closing and tightening 18.
  • the collar 3 is also provided with a pair of legs for receiving a loop 19 and, at its upper part, it presents two passersby, such as passerby 20, for the passage of a belt 21 serving, in known manner, tibial support.
  • the shoe is further provided, in known manner, a heel plate 22 and a front plate 23 both made of hard rubber.
  • the stem could be removable, that is to say separable of an armature.
  • this frame is presented like a shell more or less cut and openwork.
  • FIG. 4 and 5 illustrate two examples of closure by a tongue.
  • the articles footwear represented may be as well a Inner comfort slipper that part of shoe whose bottom and sole would be made in the same way as in the first execution mode described.
  • the stem 24 of the liner shown in FIG. has a frontal notch 25 closed by a outer tongue 26 coming to cover the edges of the notch 25.
  • the outer surfaces of the zones marginal of the notch 25 have a bead 27. In the closed position, the tab 26 comes apply on this bead 27.
  • the stem 28 of the liner shown in FIG. also has a frontal notch, but this one is closed by an inner tongue 29.
  • the inner surface of the marginal areas of the indentation has a bead 30 extending, like the bead 27, all along the closing line. In position closed, the edges of the notch come to apply in the manner of flaps on the tongue 29.
  • the invention also relates to a comfort slipper a shoe upper with an inner boot.
