It removes the cap 11 and puts the application face 21 covered with powder P2, resting on the surface to be treated, so as to cause the opening of the valve 50. It then exerts pressure on the walls of the bottle. to cause the exit of the product P1 through the orifice 6, and its transport on the application face 21 via the pores of the foam forming the applicator member. The The mixture is then spread by moving the application face adequately on the surface to be treated. By releasing the pressure of the application face 21 on the surface to be treated, the valve 50 closes under the restoring force of the spring 51. Again, the presence of the valve, allows the applicator capsule, after being energized in product P1, especially at the beginning of the day, to be used independently during the rest of the day.
- a container containing a product P1 can be associated with a plurality of applicator capsules containing the same product P2, but comprising an applicator member having characteristics, in particular of hardness, flexibility, or absorption, different.

- the cap 11 is thus mounted in a perfectly sealed manner on the support 2.
- the bottom 63 of the cap 11 is made in the form of an elastically deformable membrane 64, which can be bi-injected with the cap 11.
- the diaphragm 64 carries a cup 65 in which is compacted the product P2. In the storage position, the application surface 21 is kept at a distance from the free surface of the product P2.
- the user exerts an axial pressure on the elastically deformable membrane 64 so as to put the surface 21 in elastic contact with the free surface of the product P2, thus allowing the loading of said application surface with said P2 product.
- the movable bottom 63 By releasing the pressure exerted on the movable bottom 63, it returns by elastic return in its initial position.
- the user then unscrews the cap 11, and presses the application surface 21 on the skin, so as to cause the opening of the valve 50.
- By exerting pressure on the walls of the container which can be of the type shown in Figure 2C, it causes the exit of the product P1 which is conveyed on the application surface 21 through the pores of the material forming the application member 20.
- the product P1 is applied in a mixture with the product P2.
- FIG. 1F differs from that of FIG. 1A, mainly in that the product P2 is separated from the bottom 73 of the cap 11 by a block of foam 70 mounted, in particular by gluing, in the bottom of the cap.
- a block of foam improves the elasticity of the contact between the application surface 21 and the free surface of the product P2, especially when the applicator member 20 has little or no elasticity (felt).
- an open cell foam block 70 this allows the product P2 to be anchored in the pores of the foam, when the product is cast in liquid form.
- the operation of the capsule 1 according to this embodiment is identical to that of the embodiment of FIG. 1A.

Also, is it an object of the invention to provide an applicator capsule forming a unit for applying a specific product, suitable for use in combination with an auxiliary container containing a product having an action complementary to the action specific product contained in the applicator capsule.
L'ensemble est prévu pour appliquer un seul produit.EP 0 374 339 discloses a container containing a liquid product, the container being equipped with a pump on which is mounted a support carrying an applicator. The carrier is mounted to move relative to the container to actuate the pump and charge the applicator with product. The set is intended to apply a single product.
The applicator is protected by a cap in which is housed a second product in the form of a solid loaf which comes into contact with the applicator when the cap is mounted on the container.
It is another object of the invention to provide an autonomous application unit containing a specific product, an applicator member, and a mounting member on a container containing the product to be used in combination with said specific product.
Still other objects will appear in the following detailed description.
According to the invention, these objects are achieved by producing an applicator capsule, comprising a support, having means capable of allowing the fixing of the capsule removably on a container, containing a first product, an application member, in particular under as a resiliently compressible element, mounted on the support and adapted to convey said first product, from an orifice, formed in the support, to an application face of said applicator member, a cap removably covering said application member, the cap being mounted on the support, and the applicator capsule comprising a second product disposed in the bottom of the cap, in particular in the form of a solid cake or a powder, said application surface being suitable, in the mounted position of the cap, to be placed elastically on said second product.
For example, a unit is produced which contains a specific product, in particular delitable, and which can be mounted on a container containing a product capable of promoting the disintegration of the specific product, the two products being kept separate from one another. and being, for a combined application, metered to the application face of the applicator member. The product contained in the cap does not contaminate the product contained in the container. An application member of a given capsule is never brought into contact with a second product other than that contained in the capsule to which it is dedicated. Preferably, the product contained in the container is intended to be dispensed under pressure, in particular by means of a pump, a piston, or a propellant.
The application face of the applicator member is, at least before use, elastically constrained in abutment against the free surface of the product contained in the cap, which, with certain products, is sufficient to ensure proper loading of said application face with said product. However, the loading of the application face with the second product can be promoted by rotating the application face bearing against said free surface of the product contained in the cap.
The product may be cast, hot or cold, or compacted, directly in the bottom of the cap, or in a cup mounted in said bottom. Means, in particular in the form of fins or other attachment means, may be provided for, in the event that the product is poured into the cap, allow the product, when it solidifies, to hang in the bottom of the cap.
In the case of a product in the form of a loose powder or a cream, means, in particular in the form of a grid or a perforated frame, can be provided to maintain said second product in the bottom of said cap. .
The second product can be separated from the bottom of the cap by an elastically deformable member, in particular a foam block or a spring. Such a member allows at least to participate in the elastic bearing of the application surface on the second product, in particular, when the applicator member is made of a material weakly, if at all, elastically compressible. In the case where the intermediate element is a foam, in particular with open cells, it allows anchoring of the product in the bottom of the cap, when the product is cast in liquid form.
The bottom of the cap may be movable axially, in particular by elastic deformation. This feature makes it possible to recharge the applicator with the second product without having to completely mount the cap on the support, especially in the case where the cap is screwed onto the support. The mobility of the bottom may result from an elastic deformation of said bottom, especially when this is configured as a membrane of elastically deformable material. Alternatively, such mobility can result from a simple sliding assembly of the bottom, the latter being forced in the high position, under the effect of the elastic compression of the applicator member when the cap is mounted on its support. The cap may optionally be mounted in a sealed manner on the support of the capsule.
Advantageously, said applicator member consists of a block of a porous material capable of absorbing said first product and of conveying it from said orifice to said application face. It may especially consist of an open-cell foam or semi-open, or a felt. The application face of the applicator member may be covered with a flocking. In the case of such an absorbent product, especially in the case of an open or semi open-celled felt or foam, the applicator member comprises a plurality of "natural" passages formed between the fibers, or by the pores of the material, which communicate with each other. Such natural passages are particularly suitable when the product contained in the container is liquid. In the case of a more viscous product, or in the case of a non-porous material, it is possible to produce at least one "artificial" passage in the form of one or more channels extending, in particular axially, from the support up to to the application face, so as to transport the product contained in the container to the application face.
The applicator member may consist of an elastically compressible element, in particular in the form of a bellows, and on which is mounted an application surface, in particular in the form of a foam, a woven fabric or a nonwoven, which surface may optionally be flocked or not. The application surface may be relatively smooth or have reliefs capable of having a massage action when applied to the skin.
Preferably, in the vicinity of said orifice, valve-type opening / closing means are provided for selectively releasing, respectively, closing said orifice, able to be placed in communication with the container containing the first product. Thus, it is avoided that liquid contained in the applicator member (formed in particular of a mixture of the first and second product) can not descend through said orifice into the container containing the first product. In addition, the applicator capsule, especially when the applicator member consists of an absorbent material, may contain a sufficient quantity of said first product, to constitute an autonomous application unit, which can be used independently of the container. containing the first product, throughout the day.
According to a specific embodiment, said opening / closing means are mounted so as to release said orifice in response to a sufficient pressure exerted on said application face, elastic return means being provided for, in the absence sufficient pressure on said application face, constrain the opening / closing means in the closed position. Thus, the transport of the first product on the application face, in order to be mixed with the second product, is only in the application position, when the application face is pressed on the surface treat. Thus, the separation between the first product contained in the container and the second product contained in the capsule is further improved.
Alternatively, said opening / closing means are mounted so as to disengage said orifice in response to a sufficient pressure exerted on the opposite side of the support member to the applicator member, said opening / closing means being biased in the closed position when said pressure ceases. Such pressure may be exerted on the flexible or deformable walls of the container, or on a piston bottom, and on which the user can press to cause the release of a dose of said first product.
Said fixing means of the capsule to the container may be in particular of the snap type, screwing, or self-tightening assembly, in particular on a pump rod or valve.
According to another aspect of the invention, a combined application set is also made, especially on the skin, of a first and a second product, said application assembly comprising a container containing a first product, and suitable to allow the distribution under pressure, and at least one capsule according to the above, each of the capsules containing a second product.
The container may be in the form of a container surmounted by a pump, especially without air intake, or a valve, a tube or a bottle with deformable walls, or a bottle bottom forming piston.
As an advantageous example, the second product is a makeup product, each of the capsules containing a different second product, and in particular, of different color and / or appearance.
By way of example again, the second product is a product for protection against UV radiation, each of the capsules containing a second product with a different protection index.
According to another alternative, each of the capsules comprises a different application member, in particular allowing different application characteristics. To this end, it is possible to use foams having different hardnesses or absorption capacities, particularly as a function of the surface to be treated.
The first product may be in the form of a liquid, a cream, or a gel.
- FIGS. 1A-1F schematically illustrate six embodiments of the applicator capsule according to the invention; and
- Figures 2A-2C illustrate three embodiments of an application assembly mounted according to the present invention.
The
Such a capsule may, as shown in Figure 2B, be screwed on a
The user first chooses the
La crème P1 à l'intérieur du récipient 101 n'est jamais souillée par la poudre P2 contenue dans le fond des capsules applicatrice 1.To make up another part of the body or face in another color, it unscrews the
- the product P2 is in the form of a solid cake, obtained by hot or cold casting, in the bottom of the
cap 11, of a liquid composition, especially based on plaster, and which will solidify on cooling. Fastening means (not shown) ensure the anchoring of the product P2 in the bottom of thecap 11. Thus, theapplication face 21 of theapplicator member 20 is directly in elastic support on the free surface of the product P2. - the
applicator member 20 consists of an open cell foam block, not having an axial channel of the type of that present in the foam block of the previous embodiment. The porosity of the material is sufficient to ensure the transport of a liquid from theorifice 6 to theapplication face 21. - the
transverse wall 5 of thesupport 2 forms on the opposite side to theapplicator member 20, asleeve 30 adapted to allow self-tightening mounting on theemergent rod 31 of avalve 32 fitted to apressurized container 33, containing a liquid composition P1 able to allow the disintegration of the product P2. The composition P1 rises on the application surface via the pores of the open cell foam block forming theapplicator member 20.
In the embodiment of FIG. 1C, the
The
Le reste de la capsule est conforme à la capsule applicatrice de la figure 1A.The embodiment of FIG. 1D differs from the applicator capsule of FIG. 1A in that the product P1, with which it is intended to be used in combination, is in liquid form, and is conveyed from
The applicator capsule of FIG. 1D is shown in FIG. 2C, in the mounted position on an
During the application, the user mounts on the bottle the
According to one variant of the invention, a container containing a product P1 can be associated with a plurality of applicator capsules containing the same product P2, but comprising an applicator member having characteristics, in particular of hardness, flexibility, or absorption, different. Thus the user chooses the applicator capsule comprising the application member to obtain, particularly depending on the area of the body to be treated, the desired application characteristics. The form of the applicator member may be any, depending on the surfaces to be treated. The applicator capsule may, in position mounted on a given container, be arranged in the axis of the container, or in a different axis, depending on the desired gesture.
A l'application, le produit P1 est appliqué en mélange avec le produit P2.The embodiment of Figure 1E differs from the previous embodiment in that the
Le fonctionnement de la capsule 1 selon ce mode de réalisation est identique à celui du mode de réalisation de la figure 1A.The embodiment of FIG. 1F differs from that of FIG. 1A, mainly in that the product P2 is separated from the bottom 73 of the
In the foregoing detailed description, reference has been made to preferred embodiments of the invention. It is obvious that variations can be made without departing from the invention as claimed hereinafter.
