Definitions
- the present invention relates to a housing for a hazard detector, with a base, a detachably connectable to the bottom lid, the bottom for attachment to a Wall is provided, and with a sabotage detector to trigger an alarm when violent Removal of the alarm from the wall.
- Hazard detectors especially intrusion detectors, are because of their high detection reliability often exposed to attempts at sabotage, from covering the detector to the latter Tear off the wall.
- covering or masking the detector for example for passive infrared detectors by covering the detector with a cardboard box, hat or other suitable shielding or by spraying the detector's entry window for infrared radiation with an infrared-opaque medium are preferred opto-electronic means used in the form of an additional detection system.
- Such Means are, for example, in EP-A-0 186 226, EP-A-0 189 536, EP-A-0 476 397 EP-A-0 499 177 or EP-A-0 772 171.
- Another type of sabotage is to open the intrusion detector by unauthorized opening To cripple the cover.
- a cover contact is used to detect this sabotage we open the lid. It is also possible to interlock the lid with the latch To couple bottom and lid, so that the actuation of the lock is already detected (see EP-A-0 616 307).
- the means for triggering an alarm in the event of violent removal, such as tearing off the Detectors from the wall are in a known intrusion detector (type IR160 from Alarmcom AG, CH-8604 Volketswil) through a through which a fastening screw of the detector Field easily broken out of the ground and formed by a contact switch.
- the latter is fixed on an unbreakable part of the floor and presses with it resilient contact against a projection of the break-out field.
- the contact switch is removed from this field and the electrical contact is opened becomes. Since the detectors are designed for both wall and corner mounting At least two breakable fields are provided, the contact switch being on the field penetrated by the fastening screw.
- this object is achieved in that the base has a strip-shaped, area surrounded by weak points with several screw-in points for a fastening screw contains, and that this strip-shaped region protrudes against the lid Has web, which with its free end when the housing is closed in the lid mounted contact switch closes.
- the strip-shaped area with the several screw-in points has the advantage of being independent of which of the screw-in points contains the fastening screw when tearing off the
- the entire strip-shaped area is broken out of the ground. This allows, that the contact switch for the different types of fastening only on one Place must be arranged.
- Through the protruding web and the associated one Contact switch in the lid there is the advantage of having a single contact switch both opening the cover and tearing the detector off the wall can be detected. This means cost savings because there is no contact switch and also a not insignificant relief when installing the detector, because the Contact switch is installed in the factory and can no longer be used on site in the detector got to. This also eliminates any danger that the contact switch is at the wrong one Place in the detector.
- a first preferred embodiment of the housing according to the invention is characterized in that that the strip-shaped area runs across the floor and screw-in points for different types of fastening of the hazard detector, such as wall and corner mounting, having.
- a second preferred embodiment of the housing according to the invention is characterized in that that the cover contains a circuit board carrying the evaluation electronics, and that the contact switch is arranged on this circuit board.
- the housing for a hazard detector in particular a passive infrared detector, consists of a bottom 1 and a cover 2 which can be releasably connected to it.
- the connection between the bottom 1 and the cover 2, which is not the subject of the present patent application, is preferably a locking connection fixable with a screw.
- the bottom 1 has at its lower transverse edge two slots 4 arranged in projections 3 on, which are arranged to accommodate corresponding, on the lower transverse edge of the lid 2 Noses (not shown) are provided.
- the lid 2 is pushed into the slots 4 with the lugs, whereby it is from the bottom 1 by one Angle of about 30 ° is pivoted away.
- the cover 2 is fixed in this position on the bottom 1 and is then folded against the floor, at the end of this movement in the area the upper transverse edge of the bottom 1 arranged resilient hook 5 in corresponding Snap in counterparts of cover 2.
- the cover 2 is then screwed 6 fixed to a nose 7 lying between the hooks 5.
- the head of screw 6 is in the lid 2 covered by a tab, so that the screw 6 for an observer without further examination the detector is not recognizable.
- the bottom 1 contains at its upper end, just below the hook 5, a socket element 8 of an electrical connector and is in its lower, by a crosspiece 9th separated half, essentially empty.
- the cover 2 contains a circuit board 10 which among other things, the evaluation electronics of the detector, an infrared sensor 11 and an infrared mirror 12 for bundling the through an infrared window 13 in the lid 2 on the Infrared mirror 12 carries infrared radiation on the infrared sensor 11.
- the evaluation electronics of the detector an infrared sensor 11 and an infrared mirror 12 for bundling the through an infrared window 13 in the lid 2 on the Infrared mirror 12 carries infrared radiation on the infrared sensor 11.
- the pin element As a counterpart to the socket element 8 14 of the electrical connector arranged, which when closing the housing in the socket element 8 is inserted, thereby making electrical contact with the power supply and possible data lines is established.
- the power line and everyone else Lines are led through openings in the bottom 1 to the socket element 8.
- the base 1 contains one of weak points (Predetermined breaking points) bordered transverse strips 15 with three screw-in points 16 for fastening screws and with a web 17 projecting towards the front against the cover 2 (see also also Figures 2 and 3).
- the bottom 1 has at its longitudinal edges one inclined at 45 ° Bevel on; accordingly, the ends of the transverse strip 15 are opposite to it Middle section inclined 45 ° to the front.
- Both the middle part and the two ends of the horizontal stripe 15 each contain a screw-in point 16, the screw-in point of the middle part at Wall mounting and the screwing in of the ends can be used for corner mounting.
- the circuit board 10 carries a contact switch 19 on its side facing the bottom 1, whose contact tongue protrudes against the floor 1.
- the contact switch 19 is on the circuit board 10 arranged so that it is immediately in front of the end edge of the web 17, and the web 17 dimensioned so that it closes the contact on switch 19 when the housing is closed. As soon as this contact is opened for any reason, the evaluation electronics generate one Sabo day signal, which indicates that the detector in question has been deactivated.

Description
- Fig. 1
- eine Vorderansicht des Bodens eines erfindungsgemässen Gehäuses,
- Fig. 2
- eine Ansicht in Richtung des Pfeiles II von Fig. 1; und
