Dispositif mécanique de sécurité pour une porte (10), laquelle est montée à pivotement dans un cadre (14), et munie d'une poignée d'actionnement (16) reliée par une liaison mécanique (18) de transmission à un pêne (20), ledit dispositif étant équipé de moyens pour empêcher le coincement des doigts lors de la fermeture de la porte (10), et comprenant : un premier dispositif de protection (12) agencé pour stopper la porte avant la fin de course de fermeture lorsque la poignée d'actionnement (16) se trouve dans un état inactif, et un deuxième dispositif de protection (40) destiné à interdire l'accès à l'interstice postérieur ménagé du côté des charnières (42, 44) entre le cadre (14) et le bord postérieur (48) de la porte, caractérisé en ce que : le premier dispositif de protection (12) comporte une butée (26) formée par un plot fixé au cadre (14) à une hauteur prédéterminée voisine de celle du pêne (20), lequel est susceptible de venir en engagement contre ladite butée (26) dans l'état inactif de la poignée (16), de manière à laisser subsister un espace (28) suffisant entre la porte (10) et le cadre (14), le deuxième dispositif de protection (40) est doté d'au moins un élément tubulaire (46) monté dans l'interstice postérieur en alignement vertical avec les charnières (42, 44) pour constituer un écran statique non déformable pendant toute la course de déplacement de la porte.
