Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a polygonal reflector for a lighting device, such as an incandescent lamp or the like. In particular The invention relates to a polygonal reflector for an illuminant consisting of a reflector element arrangement with several individual, adjacent reflector elements.
Polygonal reflectors, for example - as from DE 41 36 251 A1 known - can be designed square to achieve certain lighting effects needed. Such a polygonal Reflector comprises a reflector element arrangement, which consists of several individual, adjacent reflector elements. With these Reflector elements can be polished, chrome-plated or even superficial satined sheet metal pieces or aluminum pieces whose The surface is polished and then anodized, act on their Edges are connected to form the reflector. The have individual reflector elements of this reflector element arrangement alternately molded to connect them in the area of their side edges Tabs or push-through openings. Two contiguous Reflector elements are now by inserting the tabs of the a reflector element in the corresponding openings of the other reflector element and then bending the tabs attached to each other. The reflector elements are usually with a Curvature provided to the desired lighting requirements to suffice. A bend of such a fastening tab for Attaching two adjacent reflector elements leads however, that the predetermined in this area of the reflector element Curvature is straightened so that this part of the reflector elements formed reflector by a bright ring of light or by a similar irregularity, which in turn is perceived as disturbing.
There are other polygonal reflectors known that consist of one Piece by means of a cold forming process, for example by Thermoforming. These polygonal reflectors form in Border area of two adjacent reflector elements a fillet out. Even if such a polygonal reflector is produced leaves, which has small fillet radii, these fillets are formed nevertheless as a strip of light when using the reflector what is perceived by the user as disturbing. The same problem arises even with such polygonal reflectors, which are made, for example Are made of plastic and the inside with a reflective Layer are vaporized. A disadvantage of this configuration is also that the reflective surface afterwards not or only with a high one Effort to create different lighting characteristics is editable.
A round reflector has become known from US Pat. No. 4,789,921 consists of a single reflector element, which is in a support body is held. The reflector element is disc-shaped before it is installed trained and is formed by the support body in a truncated cone Arrangement kept. It can be provided that the reflector element on the support body by means of an adhesive or by means of a Deadlock can be kept. With this arrangement, however, are polygonal Reflectors, especially when the individual reflector elements should be curved, not feasible.
A polygonal reflector has become known from US Pat. No. 5,568,680. that of a reflector element arrangement with several individual, adjacent There are reflector elements, the reflector being a support body includes.
The invention lies on the basis of this prior art discussed therefore based on the task of a polygon mentioned at the beginning To further develop the reflector in such a way that it does more than just the lighting Requirements are sufficient, but can also be produced with simple means is.
- wherein a holding pocket of the carrying body is arranged in the region of an edge formed by two adjoining reflector elements,
- in which support body its sections carrying the flexibly designed reflector elements serve to provide a reflector element curvature,
- in that a first reflector element is inserted into each holding pocket with its lateral edge area engaging in the holding pocket and, in order to form an inner edge of the reflector on the first reflector element inserted into the holding pocket, a further reflector element held by the carrying body is arranged with its lateral end face bordering the reflection surface of the first reflector element is and in each case that reflector element of two reflector elements forming an inner edge of the reflector is fastened to the support body by means of an adhesive connection, the lateral end face of which adjoins the reflection surface of the other reflection element.
The reflector according to the invention consists of a support body and several number of reflector elements corresponding to the number of reflector sides. The support body serves both to hold the attached reflector elements and for shaping the individual Reflector elements with respect to the predetermined curvature that the Should have reflector. For this purpose, the individual reflector elements flexible, for example, sheet metal pieces that are attached to you brought into their intended curvature on the support body become. For attaching the reflector elements on the support body points a holding pocket in the area of each reflector edge to be trained in which a reflector element engages with its lateral edge area. To form a reflector inner edge on this in the holding pocket engaging reflector element is the adjacent reflector element with its lateral face on the reflection surface of the arranged in the holding pockets inserted reflector adjacent. Two contiguous, one reflector inner edge In contrast to the known prior art, reflector elements are not arranged abruptly, so that the training of these previously known Inner edge of the reflector does not depend on the dimensional accuracy of two reflector elements, but only depends on the tolerance of a reflector element. The The inner edge of the reflector designed in this way suffices for high lighting requirements Conditions.
The reflector elements are shaping with regard to their curvature Support body attached by an adhesive connection. In connection of these explanations, the term adhesive or adhesive stands for all those connections between the support body and a reflector element, whereby the two parts to be joined by adhesion and / or cohesion and / or other physical / chemical processes connected to each other are. The support body forms a holding base for the reflector elements, which is designed according to the intended reflector curvature is. The connected to the support body by an adhesive connection Then reflector elements have the same curvature as the support body itself.
The support body can, for example, as a complete reflector housing or be designed as a reflector frame constructed like a framework, with the latter embodiment of the support body sufficient contact surfaces has to the reflector elements in the desired shape in your Bring attachment and to provide sufficient attachment reason.
In the support body, the reflector arrangement can be circumferential alternately arranged sequence of with their two side Edge areas in reflector elements and holding pockets such reflector elements exist, which are attached to the support body with its two lateral end faces on the reflection surfaces of the limit adjacent reflection elements. A shape of the with their two lateral edge areas, each engaging in a holding pocket Reflector elements are made by the grooves Holders themselves that follow the curvature of the body. to Shape of these reflector elements is an adhesive connection with the Carrying body is generally not necessary. However, gluing makes sense to prevent this reflector element from being pulled out. On reflector element arranged between two such reflector elements thus borders on the reflection surfaces with its two lateral end faces the reflector elements held in the holding pockets. This reflector element is in its intended by an adhesive Curvature held attached to the support body.

Randbereichen in zwei gegenüberliegende Haltetaschen H einsetzbar
The
The further reflector element opposite the

The adhesive connections shown in Figures 1 and 2 are for illustration

From the description of the invention it is clear that such a reflector not only meets high lighting requirements, but also can also be produced with simple means.
