Le fumeur est non seulement victime de sa dépendance à la nicotine, mais également du réflexe du fumeur qui lui fait saisir une cigarette inconsciemment. Sur ce point, aucun système efficace n'a jusqu'alors été mis au point et le fumeur allume une cigarette après l'autre, sans qu'aucun obstacle ne le pousse à s'interroger sur son geste et sur les conséquences qu'il a sur sa santé.
