    Claims (8)

    1. Ironing press, comprising a base (1) bearing an ironing board (6), a sleeve-board (7) and an articulated arm (3) for manoeuvring a heating plate (4), movable between at least two positions, in one of which the said heating plate (4) is pressed against the said ironing board (6) or the said sleeve-board (7), this ironing board (6) and this sleeve-board (7) being mounted on the said base (1) in a manner such as to allow their alternating mutual displacement from a working position to a retracted position and vice versa, characterized in that the said ironing board (6) and the said sleeve-board (7) are each articulated, at least indirectly, on the said base (1) and are connected to one another by a connecting member (15) intended to establish a kinematic link between them.
    2. Ironing press according to Claim 1,
      characterized in that the said sleeve-board (7) is articulated on the said base (1) about a pivot pin (13), while the said ironing board (6) is articulated on two respective edges of two opposing faces (10,11) of a deformable rectangular parallelepiped, whose two respective opposing edges are articulated on the said base (1), the axes of articulation of this deformable parallelepiped being parallel to the pivot pin (13) of the said sleeve-board (7), the said connecting member (15) being articulated on the one hand on one of the sides (11) of the said deformable parallelepiped and on the other hand on a pin (14) solidly fixed to the said sleeve-board (7), parallel to its pivot pin (13).
    3. Ironing press according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that stops (8e) are solidly fixed to the said base (1) and are disposed in the trajectory of stops (10a, 11a) solidly fixed to the two opposing movable faces (10,11) of the said deformable parallelepiped, to restrict their angular displacement once the said ironing board (6) has arrived in its working position.
    4. Ironing press according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the said sleeve-board (7) comprises resilient hooking means (12a) capable of becoming deformed resiliently to enter into engagement, with hooking and positioning means (8d) solidly fixed to the said base (1), consecutively to a pressure exercised upon them, when the said sleeve-board (7) is brought into its working position and to disengage therefrom when it is retracted.
    5. Ironing press according to Claim 4,
      characterized in that means for the articulation of the sleeve-board (7) on the said base (1) and on the said connecting member (15), respectively, on the one hand and the said resilient hooking means (12a) for fixing the said sleeve-board (7) solidly to the said base (1) in the working position on the other hand are made integrally with a seating (12) to which the said sleeve-board (7) is fixed.
    6. Ironing press according to Claim 5,
      characterized in that the said seating (12) is a piece of injection-moulded plastic.
    7. Ironing press according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a support member (8), solidly fixed to the said base (1), possesses a base plate made integrally with vertical lateral edges (8b, 8c) situated on either side of this base plate and possessing on the one hand pivot means for the articulation of the said ironing board (6) and of the said sleeve-board (7) and on the other hand the said stops (8e) for positioning of the said ironing board (6) in the working position, together with the said hooking means (8d) for positioning the said sleeve-board (7) in the working position.
    8. Ironing press according to one of Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the said sleeve-board (7) performs an angular displacement of substantially 180° between its two positions, working and retracted.
