Description

Technisches Gebiet
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Polsterelement, wie sie z. B. in Sitz- und Liegemöbeln und insbesondere als Matratzen eingesetzt werden.
Stand der Technik
Es sind gattungsgemässe Polsterelemente bekannt, bei welchen der Kern von einer Auflage bedeckt ist, welche eine geschlossene Lage aus z. B. Schaumstoff bildet. Die Auflage steht nur in sehr begrenztem Umfang in Luftaustausch mit der Umgebung, so dass sich in den Poren derselben oder in sonstigen Zwischenräumen leicht Feuchtigkeit ansammelt, die sich insbesondere an der Deckschicht des Kerns niederschlagen kann. Dies ist aus hygienischen Gründen unerwünscht und kann auch den Komfort des Benutzers sowie die Haltbarkeit der Materialien des Polsterelements beeinträchtigen.
Aus GB-A-2 032 269 ist ein Kissen bekannt, welches auf einer Grundschicht aus Schaumstoff eine Auflage zeigt mit parallelen Rillen auf der Oberseite und zwischen quer verlaufenden Rippen gebildeten Nuten auf der Unterseite, welche an den Kreuzungsstellen durch Löcher in der Auflage verbunden sind. Rillen und Nuten dienen der Verteilung geheizter oder gekühlter Luft von einer Zuleitung über die Oberfläche des Kissens.
Darstellung der Erfindung
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein gattungsgemässes Polsterelement anzugeben, bei welchem eine ausreichende Belüftung der Auflage und der Oberseite des Kerns gewährleistet ist. Diese Aufgabe wird durch die Merkmale im Kennzeichen des Anspruchs 1 gelöst.
Die durch die Erfindung erzielten Vorteile liegen vor allem darin, dass das Polsterelement trocken und in einem hygienisch einwandfreien Zustand gehalten wird.
Beeinträchtigungen des Komforts oder der Haltbarkeit der Materialien werden vermieden.
Kurze Beschreibung der Zeichnungen
Im folgenden wird die Erfindung anhand von Figuren, die lediglich ein Ausführungsbeispiel darstellen, näher erläutert. Es zeigen

Wege zur Ausführung der Erfindung
Als Beispiel eines erfindungsgemässen Polsterelements ist in den Figuren eine Matratze dargestellt, welche einen z. B. als Luftkern, Wasserkern oder Gelkern ausgebildeten Kern 1 aufweist. Er besteht aus einer luftundurchlässigen Hülle aus Kunststoffolie, welche mit Luft gefüllt ist. Die Hülle umfasst eine Grundschicht 2 und eine Deckschicht 3, welche an den Seiten nach unten gezogen und mit der Grundschicht 2 verschweisst ist. Ausserdem sind die Grundschicht 2 und die Deckschicht 3 durch in regelmässigen Abständen angeordnete, in Längsrichtung durchgehende Zwischenwände 4 verbunden. Die Deckschicht 3 ist dort, wo sie mit einer der Zwischenwände 4 verschweisst ist, jeweils etwas nach unten gezogen, so dass der Kern 1 in Querrichtung durchgehende, parallele, U- oder V-förmige Vertiefungen 5 aufweist. Der Abstand zwischen zwei benachbarten Vertiefungen 5 liegt vorzugsweise zwischen 6 cm und 20 cm. Der Kern 1 ist seitlich von Seitenpolstern 6 aus Schaumstoff umgeben.
Auf der Deckschicht 3 des Kerns 1 liegt lose eine Auflage 7 aus elastisch komprimierbarem offenporigem Schaumstoff, vorzugsweise Polyurethanschaumstoff auf, die auch die Seitenpolster 6 bedeckt. Die Dicke der Auflage 7 beträgt vorzugsweise zwischen 3 cm und 8 cm, beispielsweise 4,5 cm. Sie weist an der Unterseite in Längsrichtung durchgehende Rillen 8 auf, welche vorzugsweise jeweils zwischen 3 cm und 10 cm breit und - abhängig von der Dicke der Auflage 7 - zwischen 2 cm und 5 cm, z. B. 3 cm tief sind. Sie sind durch Stege 9 getrennt, welche vorzugsweise etwa so breit sind wie die Rillen 8. Der Abstand zwischen den Mittelebenen benachbarter Rillen kann zwischen 3 cm und 10 cm, z. B. 5 cm betragen. An der Oberseite der Auflage 7 sind in einem regelmässigen Muster in Abständen von vorzugsweise zwischen 3 cm und 20 cm Lüftungsöffnungen 10 angebracht, die sie mit den Rillen 8 verbinden. Das Polsterelement umfasst weiter eine luftdurchlässige Hülle 11, welche z. B. aus einer Polsterschicht und einer textilen Deckschicht bestehen kann. Sie ist vorzugsweise geringfügig elastisch gedehnt, sodass sie die übrigen Teile des Polsterelements satt anliegend umschliesst.
Die Vertiefungen 5 und die Rillen 8 bilden zwei Gruppen paralleler luftgefüllter Gänge, die sich im rechten Winkel kreuzen und an den Kreuzungspunkten verbunden sind. Sie reichen bis nahe an den seitlichen Rand des Polsterelements bzw. bis ganz an denselben heran und sind über die Lüftungsöffnungen 10 auch noch mit dessen Oberseite verbunden. Dieses System von untereinander verbundenen Hohlräumen, das die gesamte Oberseite des Polsterelements dicht überzieht, erlaubt Luftzirkulation innerhalb der Auflage 7, insbesondere in der an die Deckschicht 3 des Kerns 1 angrenzenden Schicht derselben sowie - durch die luftdurchlässige Hülle 11 hindurch - Luftaustausch mit der Umgebung, die durch Bewegungen des Benutzers, die durch das Zusammendrücken der Gänge an sich verlagernden Stellen eine peristaltische Pumpwirkung in den Gängen verursachen, noch verstärkt werden.
Abweichend von der beschriebenen Ausführung kann das System von Hohlräumen auch innerhalb der Auflage angeordnet sein, z. B. mit zwei innerhalb der Polsterschicht angelegten einander kreuzenden Gruppen von Gängen oder einer zweischichtig aufgebauten Polsterschicht, bei welcher an der Grenzfläche zwischen den Schichten durch geeignete Strukturen an den Oberflächen ein vorzugsweise zusammenhängendes System von Hohlräumen gebildet wird. Die beschriebene Ausführung, bei der das besagte System anschliessend an die Deckschicht des Kerns an der Unterseite der Auflage angeordnet ist, hat jedoch demgegenüber wesentliche Vorteile wie einfache Herstellung, gute Pumpwirkung und wirksame Belüftung der Oberseite des Kerns.

Claims (11)

  1. Polsterelement, welches einen Kern (1) umfasst, dessen Oberseite von einer mindestens annähernd luftdichten Deckschicht (3) gebildet wird sowie eine auf dem Kern (1) angeordnete Auflage (7) aus elastisch komprimierbarem Material, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in der Auflage (7) oder anschliessend an dieselbe ein System von Hohlräumen vorgesehen ist, das sich mindestens über einen zusammenhängenden Teil der Oberseite des Polsterelements erstreckt.
  2. Polsterelement nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das System von Hohlräumen zwischen der Deckschicht (3) des Kerns (1) und der Auflage (7) angeordnet ist.
  3. Polsterelement nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das System von Hohlräumen mindestens eine erste Gruppe paralleler Gänge umfasst.
  4. Polsterelement nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Abstand zwischen zwei benachbarten Gängen einer Gruppe jeweils zwischen 3 cm und 20 cm beträgt.
  5. Polsterelement nach Anspruch 3 oder 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das System von Hohlräumen mindestens eine die erste Gruppe von parallelen Gängen kreuzende zweite Gruppe paralleler Gänge umfasst.
  6. Polsterelement nach den Ansprüchen 2 und 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die erste Gruppe von Gängen von durchgehenden Rillen (8) an der Unterseite der Auflage (7) gebildet wird und die zweite Gruppe von Gängen von durchgehenden Vertiefungen (5) an der Oberseite des Kerns (1).
  7. Polsterelement nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Auflage (7) über ihre Oberseite verteilte Lüftungsöffnungen (10) aufweist, die dieselbe mit dem System von Hohlräumen verbinden.
  8. Polsterelement nach den Ansprüchen 6 und 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in jede der Rillen (8) in regelmässigen Abständen Lüftungsöffnungen (10) münden.
  9. Polsterelement nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Auflage (7) aus elastischem offenporigem Schaumstoff besteht.
  10. Polsterelement nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Kern (1) ein Luftkern, Wasserkern oder Gelkern ist.
  11. Polsterelement nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Hülle (11) aus Deckenmaterial umfasst, welche mindestens die Oberseite der Auflage (7) bedeckt.
