Definitions
- the invention relates to the stacking of notebooks printed in view to form cartridges of said notebooks which are then compressed for packaging by strapping for their shipping.
- the separation of notebooks stacked is done beforehand, at the conveyor intake, creating an interval between the notebooks in the tablecloth.
- the interval is reproduced in the stacking of notebooks.
- the cartridge in formation is therefore formed as soon as the appearance of this space in the stack.
- a carriage presser comprising a front part and a rear part can then be placed on either side of the cartridge to press it and bring it to the station of strapping.
- the operator controls the transfer of presser carriage containing a cartridge to the strapping.
- the cartridges are therefore formed regularly.
- the carriage presser In the case of a semi-automatic installation, the carriage presser is transferred by the operator to the strapping and, in the case of the two types of separation of cartridges mentioned above, the operator is required to carry out this transport on a regular basis and by therefore, to always be present when the separation is carried out to avoid disturbances in the stack continuous and continuous cartridge formation. Moreover, no pressing other than by the force exerted by the operator is not envisaged within the cartridge.
- Document EP-A-0 623 542 describes a method of formation of a cartridge of printed notebooks in which the start of separation between two notebooks is carried out at within the tablecloth of notebooks entering a table stacking at the outlet of the stacking head, the elements primer being driven in translation from the outside of the stacking table to be inserted between two notebooks at the outlet of the stacking head.
- the primer takes place so systematic at regular intervals at a specific point in the device without operator intervention and then introduces the separating elements later without correlation with the presence of the back part of a press trolley.
- the transport device has two load-bearing elements mounted sliding above the table stacking and provided with two parts that can be spread apart and on the other side of the stacking table.
- the document EP-A-0 384 255 describes a machine for forming notebook packets printed from a continuous stream of notebooks and that includes an endless conveyor to advance notebooks stacked vertically, organs of separation made up of two parallel elements which are introduced transversely into the stack of notebooks, means of moving said elements spacing to define spaces and means of gripping the defined cartridge ends.
- FR-A-2 724 147 a method of formation of a cartridge obtained by lifting the notebooks forming the cartridge using a tray of lifting of which the constituent parts are integrated in the stacking table. So, until we reach the desired cartridge length, the lifting plate is integrated into the stacking table and cooperates in advancing said cartridge then by lifting it creates a separation of notebooks. A blade can then be inserted by the operator between the raised cartridge and the new cartridge in formation. The formed cartridge is then driven by the operator towards the front of the device, the operator now manually the rear part of the cartridge.
- this process necessarily requires the presence of the operator who sets up the blade allowing keep the new cartridge in formation and which keeps the rear part of the cartridge formed.
- the operator must be free to pass a variable period of time on another station and it must ability to stack continuously printed notebooks without the separation of these intervening so to avoid any risk of incidents when it is not present to transport the formed cartridge.
- the invention proposes a separation process and transporting a cartridge of notebooks stacked in which separation and transport of cartridges are performed only within a cartridge in formation when the operator wishes, leaving otherwise continuous stacking.
- the subject of the invention is a method of separation and transport of stacked notebook cartridges with a view to their packaging in particular by strapping, said notebooks being stacked horizontally from top to bottom, process in which a presser carriage is brought so that its front part rests against the front of the cartridge in formation whose front rests against a separable part of a separator, comprising two parts separable, and its rear part being under the cartridge of notebooks stacked in formation, on-the-go training of the pressing carriage being carried out by an operator either manually either by controlling its actuation, we remove under the cartridge in formation said separable part of the separator, we start from the bottom of the cartridge formation of a gap between two backs of adjacent notebooks within said cartridge in formation and we introduce in said spacing the two separable parts of the separator when said separator is in coincidence with the rear part of the presser carriage, we move away from the end of the cartridge forming the end back of the stacked notebook cartridge thus formed in setting aside the two separable parts of the separator, we introduce
- the introduction of the separator within a cartridge in formation in order to cause the separation of the formed cartridge only occurs when the pressing carriage is brought under the stacking table to grasp said formed cartridge.
- This presser carriage of which the distance between the front part and the rear part advantageously determines the size of a cartridge, is manipulable on the move by the operator.
- presser carriage is driven in translation manually by the operator or training in translation of said carriage is motorized and the operator controls the actuation.
- the invention also relates to a device for setting implementing the method according to the invention, of the type comprising : a conveyor for feeding printed notebooks, a head horizontal stacking of notebooks, a stacking table on which the notebooks rest on the back, a device for separating a cartridge of stacked notebooks of the type comprising a separator, mounted on a mobile carriage under the stacking table and comprising a priming member spacing between two backs of notebooks and two parts separable from each other that can be inserted between two notebooks, a mobile press trolley under the table stacker comprising a front part and a part rear, a strapping tunnel, characterized in that the presser carriage can be moved by the operator and in that the separator includes means to drive the two separable parts of the separator protruding above, and recessed below the table stacking, independently of one another, said separable parts of the separator being introduced together within the forming cartridge, the spacing initiator being triggered when the movable separator carriage coincides under the stacking table with
- the separator When introduced into the stack, the separator secured to the stacking table by a link mechanical and has a synchronous forward speed at that of said table.
- the part of the separator behind the formed cartridge is driven back under the stacking table, releasing thus the formed cartridge which can be gripped by the presser carriage while the part of the separator the front of the new cartridge in formation remains in protrudes above the stacking table and acts as an organ support for the new cartridge in training.
- the separation device being mobile and can be synchronized with the stacking table to move forward, it supports the new cartridge in training, which allows continuous stacking without any interruption and in particular without any separation as long the presser carriage is not brought back.
- the operating cycle of the device according to the invention is the next.
- the operator brings the presser carriage to stacking and, in particular, the front part of the carriage presser against the front end of the cartridge in training.
- the front end of this cartridge in formation is held on the stacking table by a separable part the separator which, mechanically linked to the stacking table, advances synchronously to it.
- the establishment of the front part of the presser carriage against the head of the cartridge in formation coincides, under the table stacker, the mobile separator carriage and the part front of the presser carriage, which, once detected, causes the separable part of the separator to be withdrawn under the stacking table.
- the front part of the presser carriage rests against the front end of the cartridge formed and is free in translation under the stacking table. Therefore, said front part of the presser carriage is driven in displacement according to the speed of advancement of the table stacking. Therefore, the rear part of the carriage presser is also driven in translation according to the advancement speed of the stacking table.
- the separator out of sync with the stacking table and can be driven in translation in the opposite direction of the stacking table or stay still; in both cases, we are trying to get him to come coincidence with the rear part of the presser carriage so that when the coincidence of the separator and the rear part of the presser carriage is detected, for example using an optical sensor, the primer between the back of two notebooks is triggered and said separator can again be introduced within a cartridge.
- the separator coincides with the part rear of the presser carriage, priming within the cartridge synchronizes the separator with the cartridge while the rear part of the presser carriage is driven by the advance of the front part of the carriage presser driven by the cartridge, the separator is therefore synchronous with the rear part of the presser carriage and can then be inserted into the cartridge to practice a separation.
- a stopper is provided under the table stacking against which the separator abuts and which determines a minimum stacking length before a separation is allowed upon coincidence and synchronization of the separator and the rear part of the pressing carriage.
- the two parts of the separator introduced together within of the cartridge are then moved away from each other so to separate the formed cartridge from the new cartridge by training.
- An element of the rear part of the presser carriage makes then protrudes above the stacking table in the gap created between the two cartridges and, by therefore, between the two separable parts of the separator.
- the operator can then control the pressing of the cartridge by the presser carriage, the front parts and rear of said presser carriage approaching one of the other.
- the carriage guides lift to allow separating the cartridge from the stacking table to allow the transport of said cartridge, then drives the presser carriage, carrying the cartridge, towards the strapping station.
- the presser carriage has a compression system integrated, preferably, sufficiently powerful cylinders and operable by the operator to carry out the pressing stacked cartridge.
- a compression system integrated, preferably, sufficiently powerful cylinders and operable by the operator to carry out the pressing stacked cartridge.
- the part of the separator on the side of the new cartridge in formation protrudes above the stacking table and supports the advancement of said new cartridge and, therefore, allows continuous stacking.
- the cartridge is introduced into said tunnel, the closure and initiation of the strapping cycle are operator-controlled.
- the opening of the tunnel can be automatic at the end of the strapping cycle so as to indicate, for example, to the operator that the presser carriage is free.
- the method according to the invention therefore makes it possible to carry out quality cartridges as far as operations requiring precision such as stacking, cartridge separation, creating space to insert a plate and maintaining the compression of the cartridge during transport are carried out automatically while the operator is only requested for simple operations such as controlling the pressing of the cartridge, transfer from the cartridge to the strapping and the strapping control of said cartridge, do not not requiring special dexterity.
- a semi-automatic device comprises an input conveyor 1 which carries notebooks C under sheet form up to a stacking head 2.
- This stacking head 2 makes it possible to produce continues a horizontal stacking of said notebooks C on a stacking table 3. There appears to be no interruption in stacking E.
- the stacking table 3 accommodates the notebooks C who rest on it by their backs.
- the device also includes a packing station, in particular a strapping station 4.
- This station 4 includes a strapping tunnel in which a cartridge of notebooks stacked is introduced to be encircled.
- a separation comprising a separator mounted on a carriage 5 movable in translation under the stacking table 3 and comprising mechanical connection means with the table stacking 3 so that the separator, when is in mechanical connection with said stacking table 3, advances synchronously to said table 3.
- the separator comprises, mounted on the carriage 5, a spacing initiating device between two backs of stacked notebooks (not shown) and two parts 6a, 6b separable from each other and which can be introduced between two notebooks to cause the separation of a cartridge.
- a presser carriage 7 is also provided, the capacity of which is adjustable according to the cartridge size desired. This presser carriage 7 is movable and actuable manually by the operator and it allows you to enter a cartridge formed, squeeze it and transport it to the strapping station 4.
- the presser carriage 7 has a front part 8, one of which portion 8a protrudes above the stacking table 3 and allows to come into abutment against the front end of the cartridge in formation.
- the rear part 9 of the presser carriage 7 has a element 9a, such as a finger, suitable for projecting above of the stacking table 3 in order to come and grab the rear end of a formed cartridge, this element 9a being retracted when setting up the part rear 9 of the presser carriage 7 under the stacking table 3.
- a element 9a such as a finger
- the presser carriage 7 has a compression system integrated.
- the front 8 and rear 9 parts of the carriage presser 7 are connected by jacks which, actuated, allow the approximation and spacing of said parts 8 and 9.
- connection between the front part 8 of the presser carriage 7 and its rear part 9 is made mechanically so as to allow adjustment of the interval between said parts front and rear.
- This connection is of the rod / key type and adjusts the presser carriage 7 according to the desired cartridge length.
- the separable parts 6a and 6b are separated from each other, creating a separation at the within stack E.
- Element 9a is then introduced into the gap formed in the stack between the two parts separable 6a and 6b while the front part 8 of the carriage presser 7 rests against the front end of the cartridge.
- the operator then introduces a plate of held at the rear end of the cartridge formed in the space created between element 9a of the carriage presser 7 and the separable part 6a of the separator.
- part 6a of the separator on the side of the cartridge formed is driven back under the stacking table 3 of so as to allow the cartridge to be pressed by the pressure carriage 7.
- the separable part 6b of the separator remains projecting above of the stacking table 3 and serves as a maintenance of the new cartridge in formation. Of preferably, the operator then introduces a plate of holding 10 between the notebooks and said separable part 6b.
- This holding plate 10 can also be placed place when bringing the front part 8 of the presser carriage 7 against the front of the cartridge in formation. So the plate is inserted between the separable part 6b of the separator and the front part 8 of the presser carriage 7. In in this case, the plate is put in place without the need for handle the notebooks of the cartridge being formed.
- Stacking continues to be carried out continuously without separation and can reach a significant length on the stacking table and this, without prejudice to the length cartridges chosen at the end, nor interruption of operation of the installation.
- a pressure carriage 7 is adjusted to take cartridges of a predetermined length, the operator can let stack the equivalent of at least two cartridges without the need to intervene, remaining available for other spots during this time. Then he can transport the cartridges successively to the strapping 4.
- the compression of the cartridge makes it possible to compress, according to the productions, a large part of the notebooks stacked on the stacking table thus reducing the rate of cartridge transfers.
- the tunnel strapping is automatically closed and the opening of said tunnel then indicates the end of the strapping step and the release of the presser carriage 7.
- the encircled cartridge can be evacuated to a palletizing station either manually or by advancing on an evacuation table.
