Definitions
- the invention relates to a drive mechanism of an installation of transport using two towing cables or loop tractor-carriers, on which are coupled in line with the vehicles, said mechanism comprising a pulley system over which the two cables pass to be moved in synchronism.
- Document EP-A-226 838 describes a drive device having two drive pulleys each coupled to a speed reducer and a motor electric. The synchronization of the rotation of the two pulleys is ensured by a engine power regulation device, and by a device mechanical disengageable coupling of the high speed shafts of both reducers.
- EP-A 184 476 relates to a mechanism using a single electric motor driving the two drive pulleys via two differentials and associated reducers.
- Another known possibility consists in connecting the two drive pulleys by a rigid mechanical connection, or to make use of the same pulley equipped a double drive groove, as described in document FR 1249949.
- These known devices give satisfaction, but their conditions of use are not always optimal, and the need arose to have other simple systems drive two or more cables in perfect synchronism, without no risk of drift.
- the object of the invention to provide a drive mechanism for simple construction, allowing the synchronization of the two cables with total reliability.
- the mechanism according to the invention comprises a pulley with a single groove with double adhesion, common to the two cables and cooperating with the first cable on one part of its periphery, and with the second cable on another part of its periphery to ensure identical speeds of the two cables.
- the cable winding zones on the double-grip pulley constitute circular segments distinct, less than 180 °, and arranged symmetrically to the plane diametral median of said pulley.
- the pulley with double adhesion of the mechanism is a drive pulley coupled to a gear motor and cooperating with first and second pulleys guide, on which the first and second pass respectively cables to each form an S-shaped path passing over the pulley driving.
- a pair of first and second guide pulleys is provided with a side of the driving pulley, and a third guide pulley is associated with the opposite side to two pairs of deflection rollers.
- the pulley with double adhesion of the mechanism is associated with two pulleys drive to act as a speed equalizer for the two cables, winding sectors of the two cables on the double-grip pulley being insufficient to obtain the adhesion necessary for the movement of cables, but sufficient to ensure that cables have the same speed of displacement.
- the drive pulleys are separated so that their size exterior corresponds to the spacing of the outer cable strands, and the double-grip pulley has a diameter corresponding to the spacing of strands of interior cables.
- Each drive pulley is mechanically coupled to a geared motor, whose engine of one is a master, and the engine of the other slave.
- the double-grip pulley can be made motor by complement of the other two drive pulleys.
- Each mechanism according to the two embodiments can be applied to a transport installation with two carrier cables driven in synchronism.
- the double-grip pulley and the other drive pulleys or guides are arranged on a plate mounted at an angle on support means integral with the chassis.
- a mechanism for driving two cables 12, 14 tractors from a transport facility, including a cable car or funicular is composed of a single driving pulley 16 intended to drive simultaneously the two cables 12, 14 in opposite directions, and at speeds strictly identical.
- the first cable 12 is wound in the groove of the half periphery on the left, while the second cable 14 is wound in the opposite direction on the other right half-periphery of the pulley 16.
- the circular winding segment of each cable 12, 14 on the corresponding half-periphery is approximately 130 °, but it can be different, although always less than 180 °.
- the drive pulley 16 with double adhesion is associated with a first and a second guide pulley 18, 20 of the same diameters, on which cables 12, 14 are wound in opposite directions, each forming an S.
- two guide pulleys 18, 20 are arranged in the plane of the pulley drive 16, on the same side thereof.
- a small gap 22 separates the two guide pulleys 18, 20 coplanar to allow directional scrolling opposite of cables 12, 14 without contact.
- Cable winding areas 12, 14 on the drive pulley 16 are arranged symmetrically with respect to the median plane passing through the interval 22, and the center of the driving pulley 16.
- the two guide pulleys 18, 20 are removed, and the first cable 12 is deflected from the plane of the drive pulley 16 by a first deflection roller 24, which is located at the end of the contact of the cable with the pulley 16.
- the second cable 16 with a reverse movement movement is deflected in opposite direction by means a second deflection roller 26, so as to avoid contact of cables 12, 14 in the crossing zone.
- FIG. 3 corresponds to the device of FIG. 1 with the three pulleys 16, 18, 20 having the same diameters.
- the loss of winding of each cable 12, 14 on the driving pulley 16 opposite the guide pulley 18, 20 corresponds to a circular sector of approximately 30 °, the adhesion zone being then 120 °.
- an increase in diameter of the driving pulley 16 by compared to that of the two guide pulleys 18, 20 makes it possible to reduce the loss winding cables 12, 14 to a circular sector much less than 30 °.
- the winding loss depends on the positioning angle imposed on the deflection rollers 24, 26, and of the distance separating the deflection rollers 24, 26 from the contact points of the cables 12, 14 with the driving pulley 16.
- the cable winding loss 12, 14 on the driving pulley 16 is approximately 30 °. So that this distance is minimum, it is interesting that the roller, whose minimum diameter is imposed by the regulations, or given by the rules of the effort, has a width minimum at the level of its rim, as well as the driving pulley, the flanges usual of these two rotating members which can advantageously be replaced by fixed guides judiciously placed to avoid any possibility of derailment.
- Figure 4 shows the association of the two devices of Figures 1 and 2 for constitute the drive mechanism 28 of a transport installation to two carrier cables 12, 14.
- the two cables 12, 14 are arranged in the same plane, and are driven in synchronism by the driving pulley 16 with double adhesion.
- the first pair of rollers 24, 26 is associated with the driving pulley 16
- the second pair of rollers 32, 34 is associated with the third guide pulley 30 arranged to so that the cables run parallel.
- the third guide pulley 30 can also be constituted by a drive pulley to increase the grip effect for training cables 12, 14. This additional motorization is of course carried out by coordinated with the drive pulley 16, and at the same speed of rotation.
- the input strand of the first cable 12 is interposed in the same plane between the input and output strands of the second cable 14.
- the output strand of the second cable 14 is interposed between the input and output strands of the first cable 12.
- the drive mechanism 28 of Figure 4 is used for driving two carrier cables 12, 14 of a gondola between two stations, of which only the downstream driving station 34 is shown.
- Each cable 12, 14 forms an endless loop extending along a track up and down, the two parallel loops extending to the same horizontal level. Vehicles hung on cables by disengageable coupling pliers are not shown for clarity drawings.
- the four pulleys 16, 18, 20 and 30 are mounted on a fixed plate 36 secured to a frame 38 of the station 34 by support means 40, 42.
- the rotary drive pulley 16 is mechanically coupled to a geared motor 44 which drives it in rotation, all the pulleys rotating in the direction of the arrows shown in Figure 4.
- the first and second guide pulleys 18, 20 have the same diameters, and the drive pulley 16 is aligned with the third pulley of guide 30 along the general direction of the line.
- the two cables 12, 14 are driven perfectly in synchronism by the driving pulley 16 without intervention of differential adjustment means.
- the drive mechanism 128 of the two cables tractor-carriers 12, 14 is equipped with two drive pulleys 100, 102 and a pulley 104 with double adhesion for speed regulation of the two cables 12, 14.
- Each driving pulley 100, 102 is mechanically coupled to a geared motor 106, 108.
- the passage of the two cables 12, 14 towards the pulley 104 with double adhesion is carried out by means of one or two pairs of deflection rollers 112, 114; 116, 118.
- the deflection roller is associated with the driving pulley 102 on the right, and the other roller 112 of the first pair is associated with the driving pulley 100 on the left.
- the second pair of rollers 116, 118 is associated with the double pulley 104 adhesion.
- the first cable 12 enters the mechanism 128 by winding on the part right of pulley 104, passes over rollers 118, 112 and wraps around the drive pulley 100 on the left.
- the second cable 14 enters the mechanism 128 by wrapping around the driving pulley 102 on the right, passes over the rollers 114, 112 and is wound on the left part of the pulley 104.
- the external separation distance of the driving pulleys 100, 102 corresponds at the spacing of the external cables constituted by the input strand of the second cable 14, and the output strand of the first cable 12.
- Pulley 104 with double adhesion is mounted on an axis parallel to that of drive pulleys 100, 102, and has a diameter corresponding to the spacing of the interior cables, which consist of the input strand of the first cable 12 and the output strand of the second cable 14.
- the winding of the two cables 12, 14 on the same double pulley 104 grip helps compensate for any speed mismatches at the following differential forces between the two cables 12, 14.
- the presence of the pulley 104 generates a strictly identical running speed for the two cables 12, 14.
- the end pulleys 100, 102 of the embodiment of FIG. 7 are driving pulleys, "and pulley 104 with double adhesion can be either mad, either powerplant to pulleys 100, 102, but without claiming to be able only ensure the movement of the two cables.
- one is a master, the other being a slave, and in the second case, it is advantageously the motor of the double grip pulley 104 which is master, the other two motors pulleys 100, 102 being slaves.
