- the invention relates to a spacer for bridging the distance between a base surface and a loading surface of a pallet.
- Pallets are used to transport a wide variety of goods using forklift trucks or other lifting devices with tines. These pallets have a loading area on which the goods are placed, and they have spacers which support the loading area when they are placed on a base area in such a way that a space is created between the loading area and the base area. This space is used to drive tines of a lifting device under the loading area in order to raise the loading area and the goods positioned on it by lifting the tines. These spacers can be connected in one piece to the loading area and bridge the entire distance between the underside of the loading area and the base area. In the case of wooden pallets in particular, several spacers are usually arranged between the loading area and a board resting on the base area. The spacers are positioned so that the forks of a forklift can be easily moved into the space under the loading area.
