Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a novel preventive Wood preservative based on an animal blood serum / metal complex and a corresponding method for Wood protection against wood-destroying Basidiomycetes.
Conventional wood preservatives based on metal ions are either in the form of inorganic salts which is used in numerous applications with chromium VI compounds need to be fixed that are toxic and cancerogenic. Beyond that complexed with N-cyclohexyldiazenium dioxide (HDO) Metal ions used, due to poorer Solution properties of use in wood preservatives water-based is difficult. Another disadvantage is that these wood preservatives have high manufacturing costs exhibit. An overview of common wood preservatives is the RÖMPP chemistry lexicon, volume 3, 9th edition, from page 1836 onwards.
It is disadvantageous with all these wood preservatives however, that they are either expensive to manufacture or constructed from toxicologically questionable active ingredients are.
GB-A-596 801 describes the use of whole blood for the Hardening and / or conditioning of the wood.
Based on this, it is the task of the present one Invention to provide a wood preservative that is cheap to manufacture and toxicologically and cancerogenic harmless components is. Another object of the invention is to provide a Process for preventive wood protection against wood-destroying Specify basidiomycetes.

According to the invention, a wood preservative is proposed containing 80 to 99.5 wt .-% animal blood serum and use 0.5 to 20 wt .-% metal salt. Surprisingly, it has been shown that Animal blood serum, which is obtained from fresh whole animal blood becomes, in connection with metal salts, metal ion complexes trains and excellent wood protection guaranteed. Advantageous in the invention Wood preservative is that a homogeneous layer is created which has a slight tendency to wash out with Owns water and which at the same time is surprising has high fixation to the wood matrix so that it is very difficult to remove. noteworthy in the wood preservative according to the invention, that in contrast to the use of whole animal blood only there is a slight discoloration of the wood. Further advantageous in the wood preservative according to the invention is that the residual substances not required are problem-free can be disposed of and manufacture the complex is possible without energy expenditure. At the wood preservative according to the invention is still none Pollution of the environment by outgassing or diffusion expected. Because of the great availability the production of basic substances from animal blood, namely the animal blood serum, inexpensive and is a problem, there is a cheap wood preservative to disposal.
Essential in the wood preservative according to the invention is that an animal blood serum is used that is food grade has no anti-coagulant are clogged. The animal blood serum must preserved or stabilized immediately after manufacture so that germs are not already in the animal blood serum train, which is then for later wood protection have a negative impact. Such stabilization or Preservation is feasible and easy State of the art known. The stabilization can e.g. be carried out with NaCl. NaCl is already successful as a preservative for a long time to protect animal and vegetable protein against microorganisms (pickled meat etc.).
It is only for the production of animal blood serum required that whole animal blood be centrifuged or something is left for a long time until the serum settles. Animal blood serum from whole bovine blood is preferred or whole pig blood. Has tried it turned out to be particularly beneficial if whole cow blood is used because a pig's blood there is a significantly higher sugar content in the blood. Sugar is the primary nutrient of wood-destroying Fungi and is also used by fungal enzyme systems about the chain splitting of wood cellulose Provided. Beef serum is therefore advantageous use. Beef serum is also large Quantities available.
In the case of metal salts, it is preferred to use them in one Use quantity from 0.6 to 4%. According to the invention are Ti, V, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Al, Mo and / or Ag is used, iron and copper are particularly preferred or aluminum salts or mixtures thereof.
Die Erfindung wird nachfolgend anhand der Figur 1
näher erläutert.
