Description
The present invention relates to a watch comprising a case fitted with a rotating bezel, part of which annular is toothed, a winding stem having a polygonal section located outside the movement of the watch, a pinion provided with a section opening complementary to that of said section, engaged thereon, the toothing of the pinion being in engagement with that of said toothed annular part, forming a kinematic connection between the rotating bezel and the winding stem.
Such watches have already been described in CH 1825 and CH 72852. In each of the solutions proposed, the telescope rotating engages an associated gear to a rocker intended to selectively connect the telescope rotating to the barrel spring winding mechanism or the time setting gear.
These solutions require a complete transformation of the watch movement, so that only watches equipped with such movements can be reassembled by the rotating bezel.
Another solution has been proposed in CH 662235 in which the rotating bezel has toothing which engages, on the one hand, with a pinion integral with the winding stem, on the other hand, with a mechanism wheel setting the time mounted on an auxiliary plate. The goal of this solution is to allow to associate a mechanism winding and setting the time by the rotating bezel without transforming the movement, but adding a additional module mounted on the auxiliary board.
However, such a watch has several drawbacks. It requires an additional mechanism and the auxiliary plate which carries it appreciably increases the movement height. In addition, if we want to reassemble the shows, at the same time, we train the toggle the hour which, after a certain angle of rotation taken a reference carried by the rocker with a setting pinion on time, so if you're not careful not to not exceed this angle of rotation of the telescope, we change time, when you only want to wind the watch.
Other winding and time setting systems by glasses have been described in CH-A-316 834, as well as in CH-A-65 378. In both cases, the pinion which meshes with the gear ring of the rotating bezel is completely secured to the winding stem in rotation and translation. In the first of these two documents, the displacement partially winding stem the toothing of the pinion of the gear crown of the bezel, risking damaging these teeth. The second of these documents does not have this drawback, since the width of the ring gear has been increased accordingly to mesh with the winding stem pinion in the two axial positions thereof. This solution, intended for a car dashboard watch, would not be suitable not a wristwatch, since it would increase the width of the middle, detracting from the aesthetics of the box.
Although sparing a piece of winding stem square section, allowing to drive the pinion flowing in all its axial, winding and setting the time, is well known to all winding mechanisms for almost a century, however, not in this case, to keep this sliding pinion fixed axially. On the contrary, this sliding pinion is moved axially in the opposite direction of the winding stem, via the time setting lever and toggle, for the put in engagement with the time setting reference.
The object of the present invention is to remedy, less in part to the aforementioned drawbacks and to do so that the winding of the watch that was perceived so far as a negative transaction, and that has been deleted in automatic and electric watches, becomes something something fun and fun that, unlike a watch wound by the winding stem, is wound more easily by keeping it on your wrist. As will be seen in the description which follows, in addition to the purely design mechanical winding device, provisions were taken to protect it from dust and to ensure long service life of the rotating bezel and protective seals.
To this end, the subject of this invention is a watch of the aforementioned type, characterized in that said pinion is positioned axially between two stops integral with the housing, said polygonal section of the rod winder with a chosen length to allow axially moving said winding stem between at least two positions, one for reassembly and the other for setting time, while maintaining the kinematic link between the bezel and winding stem via said pinion.
According to other features of this invention, will mention that, preferably, the normal spring of a watch with manual winding is replaced by a flange spring slippery like those used in winding watches automatic. Indeed, the rotating bezel allows to exercise on the spring a torque significantly higher than that exerted through the winding stem. Through Therefore, it is extremely advantageous that once the fully armed motor spring, it can slide into the barrel, so that we can continue indefinitely to turn the telescope, although the spring is completely armed, without risk of damage to the spring.
Since in this case the reassembly is endless, the user does not know whether the spring is armed or not. he can therefore be advantageous to add an indicator of the degree of arming of the mainspring, which is a device known per se.
The watch according to the invention does not require any modification with regard to the movement proper, the the only modification necessary is that of the winding stem. It is therefore possible, thanks to the present invention, to adapt the winding system to any shows only by changing the winding stem.
The attached drawing illustrates, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the watch object of the present invention.
Figure 1 is a partial view in axial section of this watch.
The watch illustrated by this figure includes a

The upper part of the
annulaire 8a étant logée dans la rainure annulaire 7.The underside of this rotating
This
On constate donc bien qu'aucune modification ni adjonction
It is therefore clear that no modification or addition
is only necessary with regard to the clockwork mechanism
well said. The changes only take place
at the housing and the part of the rod
external winding movement. Advantageously and in order
allow the rotating
pignon 16.We can also notice that the winding mechanism
and time setting is fully protected against infiltration
water and dust through seals,
thus protecting this mechanism from deterioration
or seizure of moving
suivant la position axiale de cette tige 15.The case of the watch is only slightly modified by
