Abstract

The breech-block comprises a supporting body and a head (1). A sleeve (13) of spring sheet-metal fits between the head and body, bearing against them in the expanded position so that they cannot slide together. On closing the breech, the sleeve is formed by radial compression into a fixed cone, fitting in an annular chamber in the head or support. It thus allows locking.
