Abstract

Une lampe à décharge à haute pression (10) est connectée d'un côté, via l'enroulement secondaire (9) d'un transformateur d'amorçage (11), à une ligne (12) et, de l'autre côté, à une deuxième ligne (13). L'énergie d'amorçage est fournie sous la forme d'une impulsion. A cet effet, un commutateur réglable (6) est monté en série avec l'enroulement primaire (7) et devient conducteur lorsqu'une tension déterminée est atteinte, ou bien est commuté par l'intermédiaire d'une unité de commande (8). Un condensateur (5) est monté en parallèle avec le circuit en série et est chargé, via une résistance (3) montée en série et une diode (4), par une tension U entre les bornes d'entrée (12, 13). Entre ces bornes d'entrée du dispositif d'amorçage, il est prévu, conformément à l'invention, afin d'avoir une protection contre les pics de tension, un circuit d'entrée constitué par un condensateur (1) ou par un élément de protection (2), ou par une combinaison des deux.
