Abstract

A portable printer (3) is provided with an interface for simultaneously supplying power and print information from an external computer (1). An interface card (4) is connected to the portable printer by a cable. The interface card (4) is configured in a shape that can be inserted into a PCMCIA card slot (2) of an external computer. The portable printer becomes electrically connected to the computer by inserting the interface card into the card slot. Then, supply of power and transmission of image information, such as print data, can be simultaneously performed from the computer to the portable printer.
