Abstract
Description
Beschreibungdescription
Gehäuse für einen an einen Verdichter anschließbaren Schall¬ dämpferHousing for a silencer that can be connected to a compressor
The invention relates to a housing for a muffler that can be connected to a compressor, in particular a side channel compressor, and in whose inlet and outlet section sound-absorbing parts are arranged.
Daher kann bei diesemA silencer with such a housing is provided in a side channel compressor known from DE-C-29 04 975. The muffler is butt-connected there with its connection side to the corresponding openings in the side channel compressor housing. Therefore, with this
A sufficiently large opening for introducing the damping parts into the one-piece muffler housing can be provided on its connecting side. If a muffler is to be connected to corresponding connecting sockets of the side-channel compressor by means of connection sockets provided on its housing, then there are smaller openings to the outside compared to the width of the muffler interior, through which the damping parts can no longer be introduced.
The invention has for its object to εchaffen a housing for a muffler in 'regardless of the size of the Anεchlußöffnungen Schalldämpferε share the Dämpfungε- be introduced.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that the housing consists of two interconnectable. There are housing halves in which a first and a second semicircular channel are formed lying side by side, which channels the damping parts can be used before the housing halves are joined together. So that can Damping parts are introduced into the inlet and outlet sections of the muffler regardless of the shape and size of the connection openings of the muffler. The two-part design of the muffler housing also offers the possibility of designing the connection openings of the muffler as connecting pieces, since the undercuts on the housing associated with the formation of such pieces can also be produced in a two-part design using the casting process without further processing.
The fact that each housing half is convexly curved about its central axis lying between the first and second channels with respect to its parting plane favors a tight connection of the housing halves. The convex curvature of the housing halves ensures that the corresponding housing edges are pressed tightly over the full width of the housing halves.
A further improvement in the sealing of the joined housing halves can be achieved in that tongue and groove parts are formed on the edge surfaces of the wall parts delimiting the first and second channels in the parting plane of the housing halves, which engage when the housing halves are joined together.
An identical configuration of the two housing halves is possible if, for each housing half, a groove is formed on the wall parts delimiting the one channel and a tongue is formed on the wall parts delimiting the other channel.
Eε zeigt :The invention is described in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. Eε shows:
FIG 1 zwei zu einem Schalldämpfergehäuse zusammenfügbare Gehäuεehälften FIG 2 eine Draufsicht auf die in der Trennebene liegende Seite einer Gehäusehälfte.1 shows two housing halves which can be joined together to form a silencer housing 2 shows a plan view of the side of a housing half lying in the parting plane.
Dieεe Wölbung iεt in der Zeichnung nicht erkennbar.1 designates an upper and 2 a lower housing half of a silencer housing. Both housing halves 1 and 2 are of identical design, so that only one embodiment is necessary for both halves in terms of manufacture. Each half of the housing has a first and a second semicircular channel 3 or 4. After the two housing halves 1 and 2 have been joined together, the semicircular channels 3 and 4 each have a tubular inflow channel 5 or a tubular outflow channel 6. The semicircular channels 3 and 4 do not show any tubular in the drawing designed damping parts are used, which are held in the tubular inflow channel 5 or outflow channel 6 by positive locking after the housing halves 1 and 2 have been joined together. The housing halves 1 and 2 are curved convexly around the longitudinal center axis lying between the semicircular channels with respect to the parting plane 7 of the housing half 1 and 2. This curvature cannot be seen in the drawing.
Die Nuten 10 undGrooves 10 and tongues 11 are provided on the edge surfaces 8 of the wall parts 9 which delimit the semicircular channels 3 and 4 in the parting plane 7. The grooves 10 and
Springs 11 are dimensionally matched to one another so that they can be fitted into one another. Furthermore, only springs 11 are provided in each housing half 1 and 2 on the wall parts 9 delimiting a semicircular channel 4 and only grooves 10 are provided on the wall parts 9 delimiting the other semicircular channel 3. Accordingly, a groove 10 and a tongue 11 are respectively formed on the edge surface δ of the central wall part 12 lying between the semicircular channels 3 and 4. This results in an identical embodiment for the upper and lower housing parts 1 and 2. The two housing parts 1 and 2 can therefore be turned by partly 1 or 2 with the other housing part 2 or 1 are combined to form a complete silencer housing.
The aforementioned convex design of the housing parts 1 and 2 relative to their parting plane 7 also makes it easier to join the housing parts 1 and 2 together. As a result of the convex curvature, the housing parts 1 and 2 initially engage in the groove 10 provided on the central wall part 12 when the parts are joined together. After this groove 10 and tongue 11 have been pushed into one another, there is a positive guide, so that when the two housing halves 1 and 2 are further compressed, the grooves 10 and tongues 11 slide into one another in the remaining areas due to the rolling caused by the convex curvature without further movement.
After the joining, the two housing halves 1 and 2 are connected to one another in a suitable manner, for example by means of screws, rivets or also by welding the groove lying in the parting plane 7.
