Abstract

Bei dem Verfahren zum Löschen von Raumbränden wird in einen Raum vorgekühlte Verbrennungsprodukte einführt, bis in dem Raum eine Atmosphäre herrscht, die eine Verbrennung verhindert. Ein umweltfreundliches und brandverhinderndes Medium, das nicht gesundheitsschädlich ist wird dadurch gebildet, daß die Verbrennungsprodukte vor der Kühlung mit Hilfe eines sauerstoffhaltigen Oxydationsmittels vollständig oxydiert werden. Eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens hat ein Gehäuse (1), das durch eine querverlaufende, wenigstens eine Wandöffnung (15) aufweisende Zwischenwand (11) geteilt ist. An der wenigstens einen Wandöffnung (15) ist ein Mischrohr (8) koaxial zu einer mit einer Verbrennungskammer (14) in Verbindung stehenden Austrittsdüse (2) angebracht, das mit seinem der Zwischenwand (11) abgewandten Ende in die Atmosphäre mündet. Der Raum (7) zwischen dem Mischrohr (8) und der Innenwand des Gehäuses (1) ist mit einem Kühlmittel gefüllt. In der Wand des Gehäuses (1) sind zwischen der Zwischenwand (11) und der der Zwischenwand (11) zugewandten Stirnfläche der Verbrennungskammer (14) Eintrittsöffnungen (9) ausgebildet. Die Austrittsdüse (2) ist in Form eines Strahlrohrs (6) ausgebildet und erstreckt sich durch die Wandöffnung (15) in das Mischrohr (8), wobei ein Spalt zwischen dem Strahlrohr (6) und dem Mischrohr (8) vorhanden ist.

In the process of extinguishing room fires, pre-cooled combustion products are introduced into a room until there is an atmosphere in the room which prevents combustion. An environmentally friendly and fire-preventing medium, which is not harmful to health, is formed by completely oxidizing the combustion products before cooling with the help of an oxygen-containing oxidizing agent. The device has a housing (1) which is divided by a transverse partition (11) with at least one wall opening (15). A mixing tube (8) is attached to the at least one wall opening (15) coaxially with an outlet nozzle (2) which is connected to a combustion chamber (14) and opens into the atmosphere with its end facing away from the intermediate wall (11). The space (7) between the mixing tube (8) and the inner wall of the housing (1) is filled with a coolant. In the wall of the housing (1), inlet openings (9) are formed between the intermediate wall (11) and the end face of the combustion chamber (14) facing the intermediate wall (11). The outlet nozzle (2) is designed in the form of a jet pipe (6) and extends through the wall opening (15) into the mixing pipe (8), a gap being present between the jet pipe (6) and the mixing pipe (8).
