Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Mutter zur Befestigung einer Lambdasonde am Auspuffrohr eines Fahrzeuges.The invention relates to a nut for fastening a lambda sensor to the exhaust pipe of a vehicle.
Bekannt sind Muttern, die beim Befestigen am Auspuffrohr von Fahrzeugen einige Nachteile aufweisen,beispielsweise, daß sie aus dem gleichen Werkstoff wie das Auspuffrohr gefertigt sein müssen, weil die Befestigung durch Schweißen erfolgt, daß zum Schweißen erhebliche Mengen Schweißmaterial benötigt werden, da der Zwischenraum zwischen der planen Mutterunterseite und der Rohraußenseite aufgefüllt werden muß und daß oft nach dem Schweißvorgang das Muttergewinde nachgeschnitten werden muß, weil sich durch das Schweißen die Gewindegänge verformt haben. Ferner ist bei bekannten Muttern das Auswechseln der Sonde erschwert, da bei den hohen Arbeitstemperaturen, Oxidationsvorgängen, Schmutzablagerungen, Festfressen der Sonde im Muttergewinde usw. ein schadensfreier Ausbau oft nicht möglich ist.Nuts are known which have some disadvantages when attached to the exhaust pipe of vehicles, for example that they have to be made of the same material as the exhaust pipe, because the attachment is carried out by welding, that considerable amounts of welding material are required for welding, since the space between the flat underside of the nut and the outside of the pipe must be filled in and that the nut thread often has to be re-cut after the welding process because the threads have been deformed by the welding. Um die genannten Nachteile zu vermeiden, ist die Unterseite einer erfindungsgemäßen Mutter entsprechend dem Außendurchmesser des Rohres geformt, an dem die Mutter befestigt werden soll, und kann die Mutter an der Unterseite einen Kragen aufweisen, mit dem sie in einer Bohrung des Rohres positioniert wird.. Die erfindungsgemäße Mutter sitzt auf dem Rohr formschlüssig auf, die zwischen der Unterseite der Mutter und dem Rohr bei flachen Muttern vorhandenen Hohlräume sind vermieden und Fehlausrichtungen zwischen der Bohrungsachse im Rohr und der Mutter sind verhindert.
