Abstract

Der Ultraschallwandler enthält einen piezoelektrischen Körper (2), der an einer ersten Flachseite (4) mit voneinander elektrisch getrennten ersten Elektroden (8) versehen ist. Gemäß der Erfindung sind diesen ersten Elektroden (8) auf der von der ersten Flachseite (4) abgewandten zweiten Flachseite (6) voneinander und von den ersten Elektroden (8) elektrisch getrennte zweite Elektroden (10) derart zugeordnet, daß sich die ersten Elektroden (8) und die zweiten Elektroden (10) in einer Draufsicht auf eine der Flachseiten gesehen jeweils in wenigstens einem Teilbereich überdecken. Ein Ultraschallwandler mit diesen Merkmalen ist vielseitig einsetzbar und kann einfach hergestellt werden.
