Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electric circuit breaker comprising a control mechanism, an electromagnetic actuator, separable contacts associated with a breaking chamber, said actuator having a magnetic circuit comprising in particular a core on which is mounted an excitation means, a first air gap in which an arm of a movable contact extends to occupy a rest position in the closed state of the separable contacts and an active position of separation of these contacts when the current intensity exceeds a predetermined threshold, a pivoting pallet cooperating with pole faces of the magnetic circuit to close a second air gap located opposite said first air gap and a striker associated with the pallet and arranged to act on the arm of the movable contact, after attraction of the pallet.
Un tel dispositif est décrit dans le document EP-A-0 693 765.Electric circuit breakers of this type are already known in which, when there is a flow, a pivoting pallet is attracted against a polar face of the magnetic circuit, this pallet being associated with a striker which repels a movable contact and causes the unlocking of the control mechanism. Such a device is described in document EP-A-0 693 765.
Since the pallet generally has a flat shape, the air gap is important in the initial phase, this air gap decreasing during the movement of the pallet. In this first phase, you have to overcome a very large initial reluctance and, therefore, you need a high flux to set the pallet in motion.
This fact constitutes a drawback which the invention proposes to remedy.
The object of the invention is to provide an electrical circuit breaker of the type mentioned in the preamble, the paddle of which can be actuated quickly by a relatively small flow.
This object is achieved by the circuit breaker according to the invention, characterized in that said pivoting pallet has an enveloping shape which extends laterally over at least part of the pole pieces.
According to a preferred embodiment, said pallet comprises a central section and two wings arranged symmetrically on either side of the central section, these wings being folded laterally relative to the latter.
Advantageously, this device comprises a single piece of copper which constitutes both a contact area, a half-turn of the magnetic circuit of the electromagnetic actuator, a fixed contact support and an upper arc horn of the breaking chamber. .
- FIG. 1 is a schematic sectional view of a circuit breaker according to the invention,
- FIG. 2 is a detailed perspective view showing the magnetic circuit and the pivoting pallet,
- FIG. 3 represents a cross-sectional view of the magnetic circuit and of the pivoting pallet associated therewith, and
- FIG. 4 represents an elevation view of the magnetic circuit and of the pivoting pallet in its two extreme positions.
- Figure 5 is a view identical to Figure 1 of an alternative embodiment.
De ce fait, la réluctance à vaincre est faible puisque cette réluctance dépend de la distance e qui est inférieure à la distance a.Referring to the figures and in particular to Figure 1, the circuit breaker 10 of the type with molded insulating housing shown comprises a control mechanism 11, a manual control handle 12, an actuator electromagnetic 13 and

Furthermore, in the construction shown, the half-
