Bei dieser bekannten Konstruktion weist zwar die äußere Glasplatte eine geringere Temperatur als die dem Ofeninneren zugewendete Glasplatte auf, jedoch wird durch den aus Metall bestehenden Rahmen dennoch die Wärmeübertragung zwischen den Glasplatten begünstigt, wobei jedenfalls der Rahmen selbst beträchtliche Temperaturen annimmt. Die vorliegende Erfindung hat sich zur Aufgabe gestellt, eine Verschlußeinrichtung für Ofenöffnungen zu schaffen, die die erwähnten Nachteile vermeidet, wobei insbesondere die an der Außenseite der Türe auftretenden Temperaturen geringgehalten werden können. Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe schlägt die Erfindung, ausgehend von einer Verschlußeinrichtung der eingangs beschriebenen Art, vor, daß die beiden Platten rahmenlos ausgebildet und lediglich an einzelnen Stellen über Abstandhalter miteinander verbunden sind, und daß lediglich die der Zarge zugewendete innere Platte gegenüber der Zarge abgedichtet ist. Diese Ausbildung weist den Vorteil auf, daß eine Wärmeübertragung zwischen den beiden in Abstand voneinander befindlichen Platten praktisch vollkommen unterbunden ist, da die Platten lediglich an einzelnen Stellen über die Abstandhalter miteinander verbunden sind. Da lediglich die der Zarge zugewendete innere Platte an der Zarge anliegt, wird eine direkte Erwärmung der äußeren Platte durch die Zarge vermieden. Dadurch, daß die äußere Platte nur an einzelnen Stellen über Abstandhalter mit der inneren Platte verbunden ist und nicht an der Zarge anliegt, wird eine intensive Luftströmung im Zwischenraum zwischen den beiden Platten sichergestellt, wodurch die unmittelbar der Strahlungswärme aus dem Ofeninneren ausgesetzte, gegenüber der Zarge abgedichtete innere Platte gekühlt wird, sodaß auch hiedurch eine Wärmeübertragung von der inneren Platte auf die äußere Platte weitgehend unterbunden wird und diese äußere Platte somit an der Außenseite nur eine verhältnismäßig geringe Temperatur annimmt.
