Definitions
- the present invention relates to a waste detection system comprising a waste container and a collecting vehicle suitable for its mechanized emptying, wherein the waste container is suspended from a carrying device pivotably about a horizontal axis and the collecting vehicle comprises a pivoting device for the waste container and a collecting space into which the waste container pivoted out of its upright position is emptied when the collecting vehicle drives past it and guides the collecting space under the waste container.
- the invention further relates to a corresponding collecting vehicle as such.
- Such a waste detection system is known from US-A-3576265.
- the waste container is brought into an inclined position by a pivoting projection of the collecting container which is pushed beneath it and which is arranged below the level of the pivot bearing.
- a side wall which is pivotally suspended at its upper edge opens and opens a lateral emptying opening of the waste container. If the movement of the collecting container continues under the inclined waste container, it falls back into its upright position due to its own weight and the side wall closes in the process.
- the waste detection system known from US-A-3576265 has a number of disadvantages.
- the collecting vehicle it is not possible for the collecting vehicle to pass the waste container either in one or the other direction; rather, the waste container can only be emptied when the collecting vehicle is traveling in a predetermined direction. This has the consequence that the later route of the collecting vehicle during its emptying trips must already be determined when the waste containers are set up.
- the manufacture and storage is complicated by the fact that different types of waste containers have to be manufactured and kept ready.
- Another disadvantage is the sometimes unsatisfactory residual emptying.
- the hard impact noise that is generated when the waste container falls back into its upright position after being emptied is also particularly disturbing.
- the force of the waste container falling back against a stop can also cause damage to the carrying device, in particular to the pivot bearing.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a generic waste detection system that does not have the disadvantages described above.
- good residual emptying, flexibility in the design of the emptying route and durability of the components should be guaranteed.
- this object is achieved in that the swivel bearing carrying the waste container enables the waste container to pivot freely through its upright position and in that the collecting vehicle has a tilting device for the waste container which comprises a gripping element which has a projection or the opening edge of the inclined one Waste container detected and this upside down.
- the collecting vehicle can be moved towards the waste container to empty it from both directions. First, the swivel projection of the collecting space comes to rest against the waste container, namely below its horizontal swivel axis. As a result, the waste container is brought into an inclined position.
- the gripping element grips the edge of the opening of the inclined waste container or a suitable projection arranged below the opening edge of the waste container.
- the waste container is pivoted and tilted as the collecting vehicle continues to move, so that it "stands upside down" above the collecting space of the collecting vehicle, which is open at the top, that is, it is pivoted by 180 ° relative to its original (upright) position.
- the waste collected in the waste container is completely emptied into the collecting area of the collecting vehicle.
- the collection vehicle can be moved backwards.
- the collecting vehicle is designed such that the collecting space can be pushed completely under the “upside down” waste container while the collecting vehicle continues to move.
- the upright position of the waste container in the waste collection system according to the invention is thus defined solely by the equilibrium point at which the center of gravity of the waste container is located under the pivot bearing.
- a preferred further development of the collecting vehicle provided according to the invention has a vibrating device for the waste container standing upside down.
- a particularly simple embodiment of the vibrating device consists in a corrugated guide for the opening edge of the waste container. If the collection vehicle is moved, the waste container is shaken by the edge sliding along the corrugated guide. This also removes dirt that sticks to the inner wall of the waste container.
- the collecting area of the collecting vehicle can also serve as a collecting container.
- the collecting space is connected to a separate collecting container via a conveying device. This opens up the possibility of independent of the size of the collection container the height of the swiveling suspension of the waste container. Due to the larger design of the collecting container, a correspondingly larger number of waste containers can be emptied before the collecting container of the collecting vehicle itself has to be emptied.
- the collecting container - apart from the feed opening for the conveyor device - can be designed closed; this is preferable for hygienic reasons.
- the collecting container of the collecting vehicle according to the invention can in particular comprise a commercially available garbage bag which is attached to a corresponding holding device of the collecting vehicle.
- a garbage bag when it is full after emptying a corresponding number of waste containers, can be removed from the collecting vehicle, closed and made available for removal by a transport vehicle.
- a waste collection system designed in this way is particularly suitable for use in extensive parking facilities.
- the collecting vehicle can in particular also be designed as a self-propelled vehicle.
- the collecting vehicle comprises a lifting device for lifting the waste container.
- the collecting space of the collecting vehicle can be made higher than is the case with non-liftable waste containers, by the amount by which the Have the waste container lifted in the vertical guide of the carrying device.
- a separate collecting container can be dispensed with under certain circumstances, ie the collecting space also serves as a collecting container. This enables the collecting vehicle to be structurally simplified compared to the vehicle described above, in which a separate collecting container is connected to the collecting space via a conveyor device.
- a particularly simple possibility for designing the lifting device of the collecting vehicle consists in an inclined guide surface on which the inclined waste container slides and on which it is pushed upwards when the collecting vehicle moves forward.
- an endless conveyor in the form of a conveyor belt or a chain conveyor can be provided in order to lift the waste container before it is turned upside down to empty it.
- the vertical guide of the carrying device can be designed in the form of a telescope.
- a guide rail with a slide piece guided in it can be considered.
- a guide with an elongated hole is provided on the waste container, in which a bearing block fixedly arranged on the carrying device is guided.
- the carrying device for the waste container can be designed both for fastening the waste container to the floor and for fastening it to the wall or table.
- the only thing that is essential is that of the correspondingly hung one Waste container access for the collection vehicle according to the invention.
- the waste container can be fastened to the carrying device by means of a quick fastening device. This allows the waste container to be removed quickly so that it can be cleaned wet if necessary.
- the quick fastening device is preferably to be opened and locked by means of a key in order to prevent it being operated by unauthorized persons.
- the waste container 1 to 3 comprises a waste container 1 and a collecting vehicle 2.
- the waste container 1 is fastened to the wall 4 by means of the carrying device 3.
- the carrying device 3 comprises a swivel bearing which enables the waste container to be swiveled about the horizontal swivel axis 5 which is perpendicular to the wall 4.
- the collecting vehicle 2 is constructed in a tubular frame construction and has two rear wheels 6 and two front wheels 7, of which the front wheels are designed as castors. In order to push the collecting vehicle in its direction of travel (arrow A), a handle bar 8 is provided on the rear.
- a nose-shaped swivel projection 9 is provided on the front of the collecting vehicle 2.
- the collection vehicle When the collection vehicle is moved in the direction of the waste container 1, the latter hits the bottom region of the waste container 1.
- the bottom region of the waste container 1 is moved by the pivoting projection 9 raised and the waste container thereby pivoted about the pivot axis 5.
- the hook-like gripping element 10 of the collecting vehicle strikes the opening edge 11 of the waste container 1.
- the gripping element 10 detects the opening edge 11 of the container and swivels it in as the collecting vehicle continues to move its direction of travel about axis 5 until the container assumes the almost completely tilted position indicated by the reference number 1 'and shown in broken lines.
- the opening edge 11 of the collecting container lies on the two guide rails 12.
- the waste container assumes its “upside down” position 1 ′′ pivoted by 180 ° and shown with dash-dotted lines.
- the gripping element 10 comes out of engagement with the opening edge 11 of the waste container.
- the conveyor belt 15 is driven by the rear wheels 6 of the collecting vehicle 2 in such a way that, when the collecting vehicle continues to move in the direction of travel (arrow A), it conveys the waste lying thereon to the collecting container 16.
- the conveyor belt has a steeply rising section 15 'between the collecting space 13 and the collecting container 16.
- a garbage bag 17 is provided, which is releasably attached to a retaining ring 18 in a manner known as such.
- the collecting container 16 is closed by a lid 19 which only leaves an opening for the entry of the waste conveyed on the conveyor belt 15 'into the garbage bag 17.
- the garbage bag 17 If the garbage bag 17 is full, it can be removed from the collecting container 16 of the collecting vehicle after its opening edge has been released from the holding ring 18. A fresh, empty garbage bag can then be clamped in the holding strap 18.
- Fig. 3 the storage space 20 provided under the slide 4 for unused garbage bags and other utensils can be seen.
- the carrying device 3 for the waste container 1 is designed as a wall bracket
- the carrying device 3 is designed as a floor bracket according to FIG.
- the carrying device 3 comprises a vertical, telescopically extendable stand 21.
- the pivot bearing 22 which enables the waste container 1 to be pivoted about the horizontal axis 5, can be raised vertically (arrow C).
- the waste container 1 represents a table suspension.
- a holding rail 24 is provided below the table top 23.
- the carrying device 3 can be clamped at any point by means of a clamping shoe 25.
- an arm 28 is fastened, which in turn carries the tube 29.
- the swivel head 22 is arranged at the upper end of a rod which is guided telescopically in the pipe 29 in the vertical direction.
- the waste container 1 just as in the case of the carrying device according to FIG. 4, can be raised vertically before it is pivoted about the axis 5.
- the advantage of guiding the swivel joint 28 in a vertical guide is explained below with reference to FIGS. 6 and 7.
- the waste detection system shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 comprises - as explained in connection with FIGS. 1 to 3 - a waste container 1 and a collecting vehicle 2. Also the collecting vehicle 2 shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 is provided under which Waste container to be driven through, the waste container in its meantime "upside down" position 1 '' empties its contents into a collecting space 13 of the collecting vehicle. In this case, however, the collecting vehicle is specially designed for waste containers whose carrying device 3 allows the pivot bearing 22 to be displaced vertically upward (cf. FIGS. 4 and 5).
- the collecting vehicle 2 If the collecting vehicle 2 with its nose-like swivel projection 9 in the direction of travel (arrow A) against the Waste container 1 driven, it takes an increasingly inclined position until the wall of the waste container rests on the inclined guide surface 30. If the collecting vehicle 2 is moved further, the waste container slides up on the guide surface 30 and is lifted vertically upwards in the vertical guide of the carrying device 3 (arrow C). If the hook-like gripping element 10 detects the opening edge 11 of the waste container, the process described in connection with FIGS. 1 to 3 is repeated, ie the waste container is "turned upside down" (position 1 '') under the action of the gripping element 10 and emptied in this position, with its edge 11 standing on the guide rails 12, its contents into the collecting space 13. If the collecting vehicle is moved on, the waste container (position 1 ''') slides downwards on the guides 31 and finally returns to its original position on.
- a cleaning device 32 for the upside down waste container 1 ′′ is provided in the interior of the collecting space 13.
- This cleaning device comprises a broom 34 arranged at the upper end of a rod 33.
- the rod 33 can be raised by means of a parallelogram linkage 35 in such a way that the broom 34 enters the upside down waste container.
- the parallelogram linkage 35 is actuated by means of the handle 36.
- the collecting vehicle 2 has a collecting container 16 in front of the collecting space 13 in the direction of travel. At regular intervals, the dirt collected in the collecting space 13 is conveyed into the collecting container 16 by means of a sliding mechanism 37.
- the sliding mechanism comprises a slide 38 on which a lever linkage 39 acts, which in turn is operated by means of a foot pedal 40.
- a spring 41 pulls the slide 38 back into its basic position.
- the collecting container 16 is closed by means of a flap 42.
- This flap is hinged to the frame of the collecting vehicle with hinges 43.
- the flap 42 on the handle 44 is raised so that the dirt can be removed from the collecting container 16 laterally.
- FIGS. 8 and 9 corresponds in terms of its basic structure to the waste detection system described above and shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. Insofar as the same reference numerals are given in FIGS. 8 and 9 as in FIGS. 6 and 7, they are the same parts. Without repetition, the following description is limited to only those aspects in which the waste detection system according to FIGS. 8 and 9 differs from that according to FIGS. 6 and 7.
- a conveyor belt 45 which has ribs 46 projecting beyond the guide surface, is let into the guide surface 30.
- the conveyor belt 45 rotates in a manner known per se around two deflecting rollers, one of which is coupled to one of the rear wheels 6 by means of a chain drive.
- a speed ratio is provided between the rear wheel 6 and the deflecting roller coupled to it.
- the coupling between the corresponding rear wheel 6 of the collecting vehicle and the deflection roller driven by it is such that when the collecting vehicle moves forward (arrow A), the strand provided in the region of the guide surface 30 of the conveyor belt 45 is moved up and back (arrow D).
- the waste container 1 is conveyed backwards-upwards along the sliding surface 30 by means of the ribs.
- one of the ribs reaches under the lower edge of the waste container 1 and grasps it. If the waste container 1, when its upper edge is gripped by the hook-like gripping element 10, is pivoted further, the corresponding rib 46 is disengaged from the lower edge of the waste container.
- the guide rails 12 of the collecting vehicle shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 are corrugated. As a result, the waste container to be emptied is shaken when the collecting vehicle is pushed under it. This favors the complete emptying of the waste container into the collecting container.
