Abstract

Eine Anordnung und Verfahren zur Ermittlung des günstigsten Postbeförderers und zum Bearbeiten von Postsendungen besteht aus einem Steuermodul, einem Druckermodul, einem mit dem Steuermodul verbundenen Speicher, einer mit dem Speicher verbundene Empfangseinrichtung zum Empfang von über eine Übertragungseinrichtung übertrage Daten. Zumindest eine Datentabelle mit Informationen, die mit einer oder mehreren Bedingungen verknüpft sind, wird von dem Übertragungsmittel heruntergeladen. Das Steuermodul speichert die Daten in vorbestimmten Speicherbereichen des Speichers, wenn die Anordnung in Betrieb gesetzt wird. Aus einer aktuellen Tabelle mit Daten und Informationen werden Daten ausgewählt mit spezifischen Funktionen, die dann in der Anordnung zum Bearbeiten von Postsendungen zur Verfügung stehen. Für den Versand mit verschiedenen Speditionen wählt das Steuermodul für einen Versandauftrag verfügbare Spediteure aus, vergleicht die einzelnen Spediteur-spezifischen Datentabellen und bietet eine Auswahl oder zumindest einen Vergleich bezüglich der bevorzugten Versandspediteure.

An arrangement and method for determining the cheapest mail carrier and for processing mail items consists of a control module, a printer module, a memory connected to the control module, and a receiving device connected to the memory for receiving data transmitted via a transmission device. At least one data table with information associated with one or more conditions is downloaded from the transmission means. The control module stores the data in predetermined memory areas of the memory when the arrangement is put into operation. Data with specific functions are selected from a current table with data and information, which are then available in the arrangement for processing mail items. For shipping with different shipping companies, the control module selects available shipping agents for a shipping order, compares the individual shipping agent-specific data tables and offers a selection or at least a comparison with regard to the preferred shipping agents.
