Abstract

The display unit has a casing (1) on which distribution trays (2) provided with chutes (7) are hooked for collecting the sweets. A recovery drawer (4), for the sweets passing though the tray chutes, is situated in the base of the display unit. The drawer is surmounted by a small rearwards sloping shelf (17) whose front edge is displaced relative to the chute outlets. This displacement is sufficient for most of the sweets escaping from the chutes to be received on the shelf. They are then returned rearwards to fall into the drawer whose rear edge (18) is located above the drawer interior. A shelf (15) is located above the rear part of the drawer. The shelf is sloping downwards towards the casing front, whose front edge (16) is located slightly under the rear edge of a small shelf (17). The two shelves constitute a chicane which allows a sweet to pass but prevents passage of the hand.
