Abstract

Verfahren zur Synchronisation eines Rundfunkempfängers, der in einem Rundfunksystem arbeitet, bei welchem neben dem eigentlichen Programm zusätzliche Informationen wie beispielsweise ein Programmidentifizierungs-(PI-)Code in Form eines seriell übertragenen binären Datenstromes übertragen werden, wobei der Datenstrom (1) in einzelne Blöcke (3) unterteilt ist, die neben einem sogenannten Offsetwort (4) jeweils ein Nutzwort (5) enthalten, insbesondere eines Rundfunkdatensystem-(RDS-)Empfängers auf den empfangenen Datenstrom (1), indem der empfangene Datenstrom (1) auf das Vorhandensein einer bekannten Bit-Folge (7) untersucht wird, wobei zur Beschleunigung des Synchronisationsvorganges wenigstens ein Teil eines erwarteten Nutzworts (5) zur Synchronisation verwendet wird, indem der Datenstrom (1) zumindest auch auf das Vorhandensein der Bit-Folge des erwarteten Nutzwortes (5) oder Nutzwortteiles untersucht wird.
