Abstract

The light fitting has an elongate housing (1) enclosing at least one tubular lamp (2), with mountings (4a,4b) at either end of the housing for securing it to a wall surface. The mountings allow the light fitting to be pivoted about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tubular lamp and provide a required relative spacing between the housing and the wall surface. Pref. the mountings are secured to the housing of the light fitting via snap-connections, each mounting pref. having a clamp element into which the corresponding end of the housing is fitted.

Description

The invention relates to a rod-shaped electric lamp according to the preamble of protection claim 1.

Such a lamp is disclosed for example in the patent DE 31 02 189. This lamp consists of a rod-shaped fluorescent lamp, which is fastened on an elongated carrier profile designed as a housing, and a ballast which is arranged in an interior of the carrier profile. To attach the lamp, the support profile is usually screwed to the wall or to a wall surface, so that the bottom of the support profile, without space, lies directly against the wall. This rigid wall anchoring has the disadvantage that the preferred direction of light emission of the lamp cannot be changed.

It is the object of the invention to provide a rod-shaped electrical luminaire with a holder which is as simple as possible and which can be attached to a wall-like surface in such a way that its preferred direction of light emission can be varied.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the subclaims.

The rod-shaped electric lamp according to the invention has a bracket which engages the lamp housing for fastening to a wall surface, the bracket being designed such that the lamp is rotatably mounted in the holder about its longitudinal axis or about an axis running parallel to its longitudinal axis. As a result, the preferred light emission direction of the luminaire according to the invention, for example mounted on a wall, can be varied. In addition, the holder of the lamp according to the invention acts as a spacer, so that a space remains between the lamp housing and the wall surface, which improves the cooling of the lamp in the operating state.

The holder of the lamp advantageously consists of at least one clamp-like or fork-like holding part which is anchored in a wall surface and in which the lamp housing is fixed in a clamped manner. There is advantageously a releasable snap or snap connection between the lamp housing and the holder. In a particularly preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention, the luminaire housing has two pins which protrude beyond the ends of the luminaire and are each snapped into a receptacle in a holding part. In another particularly preferred exemplary embodiment, the lamp is fixed according to the invention by clamping between two holding parts arranged on the lamp ends, each of which has a projecting pin, the pins each engaging in a rotationally symmetrically shaped recess on the relevant end face of the lamp housing.

Beim ersten, in den Figuren 1 und 2 abgebildeten Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung handelt es sich um eine stabförmige elektrische Leuchte mit einer Leistungsaufnahme von ungefähr 13 Watt, die mit einem ca. 54 cm langen und ungefähr 2 cm hohen, aus Kunststoff bestehenden Gehäuse 1 ausgestattet ist. Das Gehäuse 1 besitzt, senkrecht zur Längsachse der Leuchte, einen im wesentlichen rechteckigen Querschnitt, wie aus Figur 2 ersichtlich. Als Lichtquelle dient eine langgestreckte T5-Leuchtstofflampe 2, die einen Rohrdurchmesser von ca. 16 mm besitzt. Das zum Betrieb der Leuchtstofflampe 2 erforderliche Vorschaltgerät ist im Gehäuse 1 untergebracht. An den Enden der Leuchte weist das Gehäuse 1 jeweils einen angeformten, in Längsrichtung vorstehenden kreiszylindrischen Zapfen 3a, 3b auf. Zur Wandbefestigung der Leuchte dienen zwei klammer- oder gabelartig ausgebildete Halteteile 4a, 4b, deren Fuß an einer Wandfläche, beispielsweise mittels Schrauben, befestigt ist. Die von der Wandfläche abgewandten Enden der Halteteile 4a, 4b gehen mit den kreiszylindrischen Zapfen 3a, 3b des Leuchtengehäuses 1 eine lösbare Schnappverbindung ein. Die Halteteile 4a, 4b umschließen dabei einen Teil der Mantelfläche der kreiszylindrisch Zapfen 3a, 3b mit Klemmwirkung. Die Klemmwirkung ist einerseits ausreichend, um die Leuchte zuverlässig zu haltern, andererseits aber auch gering genug, um die Zapfen 3a, 3b und damit die gesamte Leuchte in der Halterung 3a, 3b noch drehen zu können. Beim Herausnehmen oder Einsetzen der Leuchte in die Halterung werden die Zinken der Klammer- bzw. gabelartigen Halteteile 4a, 4b kurzzeitig aufgebogen. Die Halteteile 4a, 4b bestehen aus einem Werkstoff mit entsprechender Federwirkung, wie z. B. Kunststoff oder Metallblech. Der Abstand des Leuchtengehäuses 1 zur Wandfläche beträgt ungefähr 3 mm.
