Description
- d'une part, les échanges thermiques s'effectuent tout d'abord au travers de la tubulure d'échappement ayant une capacité thermique élevée en raison de l'épaisseur de sa paroi de l'ordre de 2 à 3 millimètres, de sorte que le temps de montée en température du catalyseur est donc trop important, au moment du démarrage à froid du véhicule ;
- d'autre part, la capacité thermique de la tubulure est élevée et le tube composite entoure ladite tubulure, de sorte que l'énergie calorifique des gaz, lorsque le moteur est chaud, n'est pas assez évacuée, en risquant de surchauffer le catalyseur si la température des gaz atteint environ 1000°C.
Claims (12)
- Tubulure d'échappement pour dispositif d'échappement de gaz à catalyse comportant un collecteur des gaz (2) et un catalyseur (5), ladite tubulure (4) étant située entre ledit collecteur et ledit catalyseur et pourvue d'un tube composite (8) qui est constitué d'un tube interne et d'un tube externe définissant entre eux un espace sensiblement annulaire,
caractérisée en ce que ledit tube composite (8) est logé à l'intérieur de ladite tubulure d'échappement (4), le tube externe venant sensiblement au contact de ladite tubulure, et en ce que lesdits tubes interne (10) et externe (11) présentent des parois minces (10A, 11A) dont l'épaisseur est inférieure à 0,3 millimètre. - Tubulure selon la revendication 1,
caractérisée en ce que l'épaisseur des parois desdits tubes interne (10) et externe (11) est de l'ordre de 0,15 à 0,20 millimètre. - Tubulure selon l'une des revendications 1 ou 2,
caractérisée en ce que lesdits tubes interne (10) et externe (11) sont réalisés en acier inoxydable. - Tubulure selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3,
caractérisée en ce que, dans ledit espace annulaire (9) délimité par lesdits tubes externe (11) et interne (10), est agencée une matière à faible capacité thermique et à faible densité (12), se présentant sous forme particulaire ou fibreuse. - Tubulure selon la revendication 4,
caractérisée en ce que la capacité thermique de ladite matière est de l'ordre de 0,25 kcal/kg et sa densité au plus égale à 0,3. - Tubulure selon l'une des revendications 4 ou 5,
caractérisée en ce que des bagues (15, 16) sont prévues aux extrémités desdits tubes interne (10) et externe (11), obturant ledit espace annulaire (9) pour enfermer ladite matière (12). - Tubulure selon la revendication 6,
caractérisée en ce que, dans chaque extrémité desdits tubes (10, 11), sont logées une bague isolante souple (15), montée dans ledit espace et venant au contact de ladite matière à faible capacité thermique et à faible densité (12), et une bague thermiquement résistante, rigide (16), montée dans ledit espace et venant au contact de ladite bague isolante souple (15). - Tubulure selon l'une des revendications 4 ou 5,
caractérisée en ce que des enroulements fibreux de matière (12) sont fixés à l'extérieur dudit tube interne (10), et espacés les uns des autres par des intervalles libres, ledit tube externe venant sensiblement au contact desdits enroulements fibreux de matière. - Tubulure selon la revendication 8,
caractérisée en ce que lesdits enroulements sont définis par une pluralité d'anneaux fibreux (12A) entourant fixement et à intervalles réguliers ledit tube interne, et présentant une section trapézoïdale ou analogue, des bagues (17) étant rapportées autour desdits anneaux fibreux pour s'engager dans le tube externe (11) et être fixées, par au moins l'une de celles-ci, audit tube externe. - Tubulure selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 9,
caractérisée en ce qu'il est constitué par une pluralité d'éléments individuels (14), susceptibles d'être assemblés les uns aux autres. - Tubulure selon la revendication 10,
caractérisée en ce que chaque élément individuel (14) comprend des tubes externe (11) et interne (10) à parois minces, et une matière à faible capacité thermique et à faible densité (12) disposée entre lesdits tubes. - Tubulure selon la revendication 11,
caractérisée en ce que, lorsque deux éléments individuels sont assemblés, les extrémités correspondantes (10B, 10C) des tubes internes sont emboítées l'une dans l'autre, tandis que les extrémités correspondantes (11B, 11C) des tubes externes sont en butée l'une contre l'autre.
