In connection with the monitoring of the regularity when paying the road tolls, it may be sufficient to simply provide a constant "regularity signal" as additional driving route information and / or in the case of unauthorized use of the route, a "violation" signal (e.g. in the form of a constant voltage signal of 5 V) ) to be transmitted to the tachograph. In order to ensure protection against unauthorized manipulation of the device according to the invention, it is advisable to program-secure the device in such a way that a mutual authentication between the two devices is carried out before the start of data transmission to the tachograph.
Claims (8)
- Device in a vehicle for the on-board electronic charging of the use of sections of road subject to tolls to be covered by the vehicle, wherein geographical positions of the vehicle are determined or received by the device and a note corresponding to the value of the respective use is made on a storage medium of the device, characterised in that the device comprises a storage unit which has stored specified geographical positions which unequivocally characterise the network of sections of road subject to a toll, in that a computing unit is provided which unequivocally recognises the use of sections subject to a toll by comparison of the current geographical position of the vehicle by means of a decision algorithm and enters the fee note on the storage medium, and in that a data interface is provided on the device via which the travel route data are transmitted to a journey recorder of the vehicle and are plotted thereby in addition to the other vehicle recorder data.
- Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the geographical positions of the vehicle are transmitted in a wireless manner to the device by transmitters installed along the sections of road.
- Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the device itself undertakes detection of the geographical vehicle positions by means of signals received from navigation satellites.
- Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that as route data, geographical vehicle positions which are detected by the device at specified time intervals or which are dependent on location are plotted.
- Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that in the case of unsubstantiated use of a road section, data which offer evidence about the unsubstantiated use are plotted as route data.
- Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that in order to ensure data integrity before the start of data transmission to the journey recorder, mutual authentication takes place between the journey recorder and the device.
- Device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that plotting of the route data takes place in an encrypted form.
- Device according to claim 7, characterised in that in the case of unsubstantiated use of a road section, throughout the duration of this use, a constant voltage signal is transmitted to the journey recorder.
