- Cable window lift, particularly for motor vehicles, comprising a driving member (3) which is movable along a guide rail (2) and carries a window glass (1), a motor or manually operated adjusting drive (4, 4a and 4b) engaging directly with the driving member (3) and a braking device (5) which prevents independent movement of the window glass (1) when the adjusting drive (4) is not being operated, the braking device being mounted on the driving member (3) and including at least one brake which is pivotable about a bearing bolt (6) and which, when the adjusting drive (4) is not being operated, is in braking and preferably self-locking contact with at least one side face (a) of the guide rail (2) and when the adjusting drive (4) is running releases the guide rail (2),
characterised in thatthe brake is in the form of a clamping block (7) which is fitted eccentrically on the bearing bolt (6) and has two arcuate surfaces (d and e) extending spirally from its middle point (c) towards opposite sides, and which is prestressed in the clamping direction (y) by means of a spring (8),the guide rail (2) has a C-shaped cross-section, against the mutually facing side faces (a, b) of which the arcuate surfaces (d and e) of the clamping block (7) bear, andthe ends of the cord adjusting drive (4a, 4b) engage with the clamping block (7) in the releasing direction (x) on different sides with respect to its bearing bolt (6). - Cable window lift according to claim 1,
characterised in thatthe spring (8) urging the clamping block (7) in the clamping direction (y) is a spiral spring (8) of which one end (f) is fixed to the bearing bolt (6) and the other end (g) is fixed to one of the arcuate surfaces (f). - Cable window lift according to claim 1 or claim 2,
characterised in thatthe ends of the cable adjusting drive (4a and 4b) which engage with the clamping block (7) in the releasing direction (x) are formed at one end as a simple cord nipple (10) which engages in a recess (9) and at the other end as a cord nipple (13) which is prestressed by a helical spring (12) located in a blind bore (11). - Cable window lift, particularly for motor vehicles, comprising a driving member (3') which is movable along a guide rail (2') and carries a window glass (1), a motor or manually operated adjusting drive (4) engaging directly with the driving member (3') and a braking device which prevents independent movement of the window glass (1) when the adjusting drive (4a, 4b) is not being operated, the braking device (5') being mounted on the driving member (3') and consisting of two brake parts (8') which are pivotable about bearing bolts (6', 7') and which, when the adjusting drive (4) is not being operated, are in braking and preferably self-locking contact with side faces (a and b) of the guide rail (2') and when the adjusting drive (4) is running release the guide rail (2'),
characterised in thatthe brake is in the form of two clamping cams (8') which are fitted pivotably on bearing bolts (6', 7') fitted on the driving member (3') on opposite sides thereof and which are prestressed in the clamping direction (y) by means of a spring (10) which engages with respective arms (14) of said cams,the guide rail (2) has a T-shaped cross-section, against the adjacent side faces (a, b) of which the two clamping cams (8') bear, andthe ends of the cord adjusting drive (4a, 4b) engage with the clamping cams (8') in the releasing direction (x). - Cable window lift according to claim 4,
characterised in thatthe spring (15) urging the two clamping cams (8') in the clamping direction (x) is a helical tension spring engaging with the clamping cams (8') on the angle arms (14). - Cable window lift according to claim 4 or claim 5,
characterised in thatthe ends (c, d) of the cable adjusting drive (4) which engage with the clamping cams (8') in the releasing direction (x) are formed at one end as a simple cord nipple (10') which engages in a recess (9') and at the other end as a cord nipple (13) which is prestressed by an interposed helical spring (12') located in a blind bore (11'). - Cable window lift according to claim 4,
characterised in thaton the driving member (3'), adjacent to the side edges (h, l) of the T-shaped guide rail (2'), raised guide tongues (m) are provided which provide for easy-running guidance. - Cable window lift according to claim 4,
characterised in thatstops (n) raised from the driving member (3') adjacent to the clamping cams (8') are provided which come into effect immediately after a movement of the clamping cams (8') in the releasing direction (x) and drive the driving member (3') and the window glass.
