Definitions
- the invention relates to a lower corner bearing for a tilt and turn sash of a window, a door or the like.
- the bearing bore With a wing part which has a sleeve, in the bearing bore of which the pivotally arranged bearing journal of a frame part is received, the bearing bore has an elongated cross section and is cut through a transverse bore laterally offset to the bearing bore for receiving a threaded adjusting spindle and the adjusting spindle has a circumferential groove, the radius of which is adapted to the diameter of the bearing journal and is carried along by actuating the adjusting spindle provided with an actuating engagement while regulating the contact pressure between sash and frame.
- Such a corner bearing is previously known from EP-PS 0 025 879.
- the adjusting spindle mounted transversely to the longitudinal axis of the tiltably arranged bearing journal of the frame part in the sleeve has a circumferential groove in the middle section, the shape of which is adapted to the cross section of the bearing journal and thus partially engages around the bearing journal.
- the sections adjoining the groove section have a larger diameter and are each equipped with an external thread.
- the transverse bore in the sleeve for receiving the adjusting spindle is provided with an internal thread over its entire length, which, however, is omitted in the cut area of the bearing bore.
- the adjusting spindle carries an actuating engagement on both end faces.
- the adjusting spindle When the adjusting spindle is actuated, it moves axially and thereby takes the bearing journal of the frame part with it, which tilts about its horizontal axis arranged on the frame part when it is inclined within the elongated hole of the sleeve.
- This tilting movement causes a change in the distance between the sash and frame and thus a regulation of the contact pressure between sash and frame is made possible.
- the front and rear sections of the adjusting spindle are each equipped with an external thread of the same diameter.
- the adjusting spindle When installing the adjusting spindle, the adjusting spindle must therefore be screwed in over the entire length of the transverse bore, which is time-consuming due to the greater length of the thread. Since the internal thread of the sleeve always runs out on visible surfaces of the sleeve that are inclined to the axial direction of the adjusting spindle, the insertion of the adjusting spindle into the internal thread is made more difficult.
- the invention has for its object to improve the assembly of the adjusting spindle in a generic corner bearing.
- transverse bore of the sleeve has a stepped diameter, in the rear, narrower area of which the internal thread is located, that the adjusting spindle has an external thread only in the rear section and the front section is thread-free as Bund formed and adapted to the diameter of the front region of the transverse bore and is provided with the actuating engagement.
- the transverse bore that cuts the bearing bore of the sleeve is also designed as a through bore, but now has a stepped diameter. On the side facing away from the visible surface, the bore has a smaller diameter and here is the internal thread appropriate.
- the area of the transverse bore opening into the visible surface has a guide bore with a smooth diameter.
- the adjusting spindle which is divided into three sections, has a circumferential groove with a circular segment cross-section in the central area. This is followed by the rear section, which is provided with the external thread. This threaded section of the adjusting spindle is long enough.
- the front section of the adjusting spindle is thread-free and forms a collar which is adapted to the diameter of the front area of the transverse bore.
- This collar serves primarily as a cover for the smooth area of the transverse bore and additionally as a guide for the axial adjustment of the adjusting spindle and as a support against the bearing journal encompassed by the central section.
- the front area of the transverse bore with its smooth wall corresponds to the nominal diameter of the internal thread, so that the diameter of the adjusting spindle is the same size in the two outer sections.
- the adjusting spindle To install the adjusting spindle, insert it into the cross hole from the visible surface in the front, further area with a smooth hole wall.
- the adjusting spindle is thereby pre-centered in the guide bore and aligned with the following internal thread in the rear, narrower area of the transverse bore, so that the external thread can be easily inserted into the internal thread.
- the following screwing-in movement of the adjusting spindle now only has to extend over the shortened length of the external thread.
- the front section of the adjusting spindle completely covers the cross hole. A disturbing thread run-out is no longer present.
- Adjustment spindle The assembly of the adjusting spindle is further facilitated by the fact that in the end face of the rear portion Adjustment spindle has a center hole that can be used to hold a centering tool.
- the corner bearing consists of a wing part 1 and a frame part 2.
- the wing part 1 to be attached to the wing of a window, a door or the like has a rollover angle 3 and a folding angle 4.
- the rollover angle 3 comprises a lower corner in the mounted state on the wing and lies on the end faces of the rollover, while the folding angle 4 is concealed and fastened to the folded surfaces of the wing.
- a sleeve 5 adjoins the rollover angle 3 and is provided with a through hole.
- This through hole is divided into a bearing hole 6, a central region 7 and an upper threaded hole 8.
- the bearing hole 6 has an elongated cross section, the longitudinal axis of which extends perpendicularly to the window plane and receives the journal 9 of the frame part 2, which engages in one the visible surface of the frame to be fastened to the bracket is tiltably mounted in the plane perpendicular to the window plane. With its crowned end 10, the bearing journal 9 is supported on the calotte of an intermediate piece 11, on which a threaded pin 12 acts. By actuating the threaded pin 12, the height of the wing part 1 to the frame part 2 can be changed. In ailing In this way, the fold height between the horizontal folds of sash and frame is adjusted and regulated.
- transverse bore 13 designed as a through bore, the longitudinal axis of which extends perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bearing bore 6.
- the transverse bore 13 intersects the bearing bore 6 of the sleeve 5.
- the rear region of the transverse bore 13 is designed as an internal thread 14, to which the guide bore 16 with a smoother opening opens up against the visible surface 15 while increasing the core diameter of the internal thread 14 Wall connects.
- an adjusting spindle 17 is introduced, which is equipped in the central region with a circumferential groove 18, the shape of which is adapted to the cross section of the journal 9 and partially engages around it.
- an external thread 19 In the rear section of the adjusting spindle 17 there is an external thread 19 and in the front section there is a collar 20, the diameter of which is thread-free and closely adapted to the diameter of the guide bore 16.
- the adjusting spindle 17 When the corner bearing is assembled, the adjusting spindle 17 can be gripped both at the centering bore 24 and the actuating engagement 22 and fed to the transverse bore 13.
- the area provided with the external thread 19 is introduced into the guide bore 16, pre-centered there and passed through the guide bore 16 until the external thread 19 abuts the internal thread 14 of the transverse bore 13.
- the adjusting spindle 17 can be turned in with a few turns until it has reached its central position shown in FIG. 2.
- the short thread length results in shorter assembly times. Since the threads 14, 19 are only arranged on one side, good force absorption is ensured and high stability and the space available for the actuating engagement 22 is improved. The appearance is also increased, since there is no longer any thread runout from the visible surface 15 as a result of the thread-free configuration of the collar 20.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a lower corner bearing for a tilt and turn sash of a window, a door or the like. With a wing part which has a sleeve, in the bearing bore of which the pivotally arranged bearing journal of a frame part is received, the bearing bore has an elongated cross section and is cut through a transverse bore laterally offset to the bearing bore for receiving a threaded adjusting spindle and the adjusting spindle has a circumferential groove, the radius of which is adapted to the diameter of the bearing journal and is carried along by actuating the adjusting spindle provided with an actuating engagement while regulating the contact pressure between sash and frame.
Such a corner bearing is previously known from EP-PS 0 025 879. The adjusting spindle mounted transversely to the longitudinal axis of the tiltably arranged bearing journal of the frame part in the sleeve has a circumferential groove in the middle section, the shape of which is adapted to the cross section of the bearing journal and thus partially engages around the bearing journal. The sections adjoining the groove section have a larger diameter and are each equipped with an external thread. The transverse bore in the sleeve for receiving the adjusting spindle is provided with an internal thread over its entire length, which, however, is omitted in the cut area of the bearing bore. The adjusting spindle carries an actuating engagement on both end faces. When the adjusting spindle is actuated, it moves axially and thereby takes the bearing journal of the frame part with it, which tilts about its horizontal axis arranged on the frame part when it is inclined within the elongated hole of the sleeve.
This tilting movement causes a change in the distance between the sash and frame and thus a regulation of the contact pressure between sash and frame is made possible.
The front and rear sections of the adjusting spindle, each adjoining the central section provided with the circumferential groove, are each equipped with an external thread of the same diameter. When installing the adjusting spindle, the adjusting spindle must therefore be screwed in over the entire length of the transverse bore, which is time-consuming due to the greater length of the thread. Since the internal thread of the sleeve always runs out on visible surfaces of the sleeve that are inclined to the axial direction of the adjusting spindle, the insertion of the adjusting spindle into the internal thread is made more difficult.
The invention has for its object to improve the assembly of the adjusting spindle in a generic corner bearing.
This purpose is achieved in a corner bearing of the type mentioned in that the transverse bore of the sleeve has a stepped diameter, in the rear, narrower area of which the internal thread is located, that the adjusting spindle has an external thread only in the rear section and the front section is thread-free as Bund formed and adapted to the diameter of the front region of the transverse bore and is provided with the actuating engagement.
The transverse bore that cuts the bearing bore of the sleeve is also designed as a through bore, but now has a stepped diameter. On the side facing away from the visible surface, the bore has a smaller diameter and here is the internal thread appropriate. The area of the transverse bore opening into the visible surface has a guide bore with a smooth diameter. The adjusting spindle, which is divided into three sections, has a circumferential groove with a circular segment cross-section in the central area. This is followed by the rear section, which is provided with the external thread. This threaded section of the adjusting spindle is long enough. The front section of the adjusting spindle is thread-free and forms a collar which is adapted to the diameter of the front area of the transverse bore. This collar serves primarily as a cover for the smooth area of the transverse bore and additionally as a guide for the axial adjustment of the adjusting spindle and as a support against the bearing journal encompassed by the central section. In particular, the front area of the transverse bore with its smooth wall corresponds to the nominal diameter of the internal thread, so that the diameter of the adjusting spindle is the same size in the two outer sections.
To install the adjusting spindle, insert it into the cross hole from the visible surface in the front, further area with a smooth hole wall. The adjusting spindle is thereby pre-centered in the guide bore and aligned with the following internal thread in the rear, narrower area of the transverse bore, so that the external thread can be easily inserted into the internal thread. The following screwing-in movement of the adjusting spindle now only has to extend over the shortened length of the external thread. The front section of the adjusting spindle completely covers the cross hole. A disturbing thread run-out is no longer present.
The assembly of the adjusting spindle is further facilitated by the fact that in the end face of the rear portion Adjustment spindle has a center hole that can be used to hold a centering tool.

The corner bearing consists of a wing part 1 and a
This through hole is divided into a
Laterally offset from the
By actuating the adjusting
When the corner bearing is assembled, the adjusting
