Description

Bei einer derartigen, durch die DE-A1 41 31 829 bekannten Kokille bilden die gekühlten Breitseitenwände und Schmalseitenwände den oberen Formteil und den die Dünnbramme allseitig bis zum Kokillenausgang umschließenden Stützteil. Der Stützteil wird unten zum Anfahren vom Anfahrkopf verschlossen. Durch Verstellung der Schmalseitenwände kann die gewünschte Breite der Dünnbramme eingestellt werden. Die bekannte Kokille hat den Nachteil, daß es insbesondere beim Gießen mit hohen Gießgeschwindigkeiten zur Rißbildung in den Kanten der Dünnbrammen kommt.
