Abstract

Le coupe-circuit automatique comporte, à l'intérieur de son boîtier (1), une boîte d'extinction d'arc (2) contenant une pile de tôles d'extinction (3), qui communique derrière une paroi de séparation (2a) comportant des rainures (2b), avec un compartiment d'élimination (4) ouvert vers l'extérieur. Afin de diminuer de manière significative le rejet de gaz d'arc chauds conducteurs et afin d'empêcher également dans une large mesure que des flammes ne sortent du boîtier cela même avec une puissance de rupture élevée, le compartiment d'élimination (4) formé par deux demi-coques (1a, 1b) du boîtier, comporte plusieurs parois (4a) placées perpendiculairement au sens d'écoulement princpal et échelonnées à la manière d'un labyrinthe, qui prolongent de manière significative la voie d'écoulement des gaz. Ces parois (4a) comportent en outre sur leurs parties supérieures opposées qui sont à peu près parallèles au plan de séparation des demi-coques (1a, 1b) des broches (4a') proéminentes disposées en forme de peigne, qui provoquent une turbulence et un refroidissement des gaz dégagés par les arcs électriques. Les parois (4a) sont disposées de préférence, en alternance, au niveau de chaque demi-coque (1a, 1b) et s'engagent les unes dans les autres au moins partiellement, l'intervalle séparant deux parois étant réduit.
