Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a can according to the preamble of claim 1.
Cans come for example for food, beverages or the like. to use. A major problem with such cans is that the emptied cans have so far been sent to household waste or to recycling in essentially unchanged form. The emptied cans form a bulky good, which is why half an attempt is often made to compress the emptied cans at least on their jacket part in order to reduce their volume. Due to the bottom connected to the jacket part, however, when the jacket part is pressed together due to the rigidity of the bottom, there is hardly any possibility of compressing the empty box very space-saving or at least approximately flat.
A can of the type mentioned is known from US-A 2 783 934. In this known box, the jacket part is formed with tabs which protrude axially from both the upper and the lower edge of the jacket part. The base and the lid of this box have a base part with a peripheral contour that is adapted to the peripheral contour of the jacket part. There are radial tabs away from the peripheral edge of the bottom or the lid. In addition, longitudinal slots are formed along the peripheral edge of the base or the cover, through which the tabs protruding from the cover part are inserted when the base and cover are fixed to the cover part. The tabs inserted through the longitudinal slots then become part of the jacket bent, after which a band is arranged, which is provided for fixing the tabs on the jacket part. This not only requires a complex production of all individual parts of this known can, but also a considerable effort in the assembly of said individual parts.
No. 3,179,321 describes a container with a bottom, a jacket part and a lid, the bottom and the lid closing the jacket part on the top and bottom. This container is formed on the upper edge of the jacket part with tabs with which it is possible to detachably or tightly arrange the lid on the jacket part. However, the bottom of this container is not intended to be detached from the jacket part; rather, the bottom is fixed there, for example by means of rivets, and thus virtually inseparably on the lower edge of the jacket part.
A 4 006 193 shows a screw jar that not only has a screw cap, but also a screw bottom. Space-saving disposal is not possible with such a screw-on jar because it cannot be squeezed to save space. This applies in particular to the two closures of this known screw jar.
The invention has for its object to provide a can of the type mentioned, which is simple and inexpensive to manufacture, and which can be easily converted into a small volume in a drained state without additional tools, so that it can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1 or by the features of the characterizing part of claim 2.
The production of the box with ring-pull closures known per se or with tear-off tape opening devices known per se is inexpensively possible on known, ie commercially available machines, it being possible in an advantageous manner to use them for the can according to the invention by only slightly modifying the existing machines.
After it is possible with the known ring-pull opening devices or with the known tear-off tape opening devices in a simple and energy-saving manner to remove the lid and base from the casing part of the can at any given time without special tools, it is advantageously possible to save the casing part fold up and dispose of the thus compressed jacket part, the lid and the floor to save space.
In the case of the can according to the invention, it is therefore possible not only to remove the cover from the casing part, but also to remove the base, so that the cover part, after removal of the cover and the base, can be easily pressed flat and without further aids. Such a flattened can has only a minimal space requirement, so that it can be easily disposed of with household waste or for recycling. Of course, it is also possible to open the bottom and lid only to such an extent that they remain with a narrow section on the jacket part, it being expedient if the bottom and lid protrude from the jacket part in the region of the same jacket line in order to be able to flatten the jacket part, the bottom and lid are in the same plane as the flattened jacket part.
The predetermined breaking line of the corresponding ring-pull opening device expediently runs in the immediate vicinity of the peripheral edge or the peripheral contour of the bottom or lid, so that after opening the bottom and the lid, respectively remaining bottom or lid edge is as narrow as possible and consequently does not cause any undesirable buckling stiffness for the casing part.
The same purpose, i.e. the lowest possible stiffness, it is useful if the tear-off tape opening device is provided on the casing part in the vicinity of the bottom and the lid in the case of the can according to the invention.
With the can according to the invention there is the further advantage that by removing not only the lid but also the bottom, the contents in the can can be emptied from the can easily and without remaining residues. The casing part can e.g. after opening the bottom and the lid or after removing the bottom and the lid can be squeezed or pressed flat with the palm of your hand or with one foot. In this state, the emptied can has the smallest possible volume, which is also advantageous, for example, for refuse collection, for transport to a landfill, or for recycling. It is also possible to include the flattened cans including or exclusive bottom and lid e.g. like collecting magazines and recycling them. Furthermore, the ability to flatten the cans easily and effortlessly means that there is a high level of motivation for collecting waste cans.

Both the
Another embodiment of the
The
