Definitions
- the present application relates to a method for operating an open-end spinning device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the maintenance device comes to a spinning station, If there is a malfunction caused, for example, by thread breakage, the maintenance device automatically becomes active and starts the thread production again at the spinning station. In addition to standstills that cannot be remedied by the maintenance device, the most important faults are thread breaks. These are caused, for example, by contamination in the rotor, so that the continuous thread production can no longer be maintained, which results in the thread breaking and the spinning station being stopped. In the known rotor spinning machines, however, stopping the spinning position does not mean stopping the spinning rotor but merely interrupting the fiber supply to the spinning rotor. The spinning rotor remains in its storage and is driven by the tangential belt. This happens because this always ensures constant conditions for the drive belt and the neighboring spinning positions. If the maintenance device has reached a spinning position at which the thread production is to be started again, it positions itself at this spinning position and tries to start the thread production again.
- the individual steps for re-piecing are sufficiently known from the prior art and are only to be briefly reproduced here.
- the start-up of the spinning position begins with the above-mentioned RU 14, for example, by searching for the thread end that is located on the partially wound bobbin. After finding the thread end, this is prepared by the maintenance device and in order to attach the new fibers to the thread end returned the spinning rotor. After the new fibers have been turned on, the thread is withdrawn from the spinning device and wound onto the bobbin. The maintenance device then transfers the thread to the rotor spinning machine, which takes over the further thread production itself. An important activity of the maintenance device when attaching the thread is cleaning the spinning rotor before the end of the thread is returned to it.
- a wide variety of methods are used to clean the rotor, for example pneumatic cleaning, cleaning by means of scrapers, and cleaning by means of cleaning liquids (cf. for example also DE-A-2 008 142 claims 21-24).
- the thread production is resumed by the spinning station after the first attempt at attachment. However, it may also be necessary to try again to restart the spinning station. In such a case, the steps for spinning the thread start again from the beginning. As a rule, a maximum of 3 attempts are made. If the spinning station is not started again by then, the spinning station is set to malfunction. This means that the machine center removes the maintenance machine from the spinning station or that it automatically leaves the spinning station. At the same time, however, it is ensured that the machine no longer waits when the patrol passes the spinning station again. One then speaks of the spinning station being shut down.
- the known methods therefore have the disadvantage that the spinning station is particularly heavily stressed, in particular the bearing of the rotor in the radial and axial directions, because when the spinning station is stopped, at which the rotor continues to rotate at operating speed, the thread usually occurs forming groove of the spinning rotor are fiber or thread remnants. In the worst case, these can lead to a large imbalance of the rotor. This can lead to various damage to the rotor bearing and the spinning device. The rotor becomes very unsteady in its run and can be vibrated in the radial direction.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a method for operating an open-end spinning device with which the Disadvantages of the prior art can be avoided and unnecessary loads on the wear parts of the spinning station can be avoided.
- the method according to the invention achieves that to stop the spinning station it is made operational so that no unnecessary loads act on the rotor bearing.
- the particularly simple measure after the last unsuccessful attempt to spin the thread to finally clean the rotor once again significantly improves the operating condition of this spinning station in a simple manner.
- the application of the method of the present invention has a particularly favorable effect on the life of the individual components of the spinning station.
- the rotor housing is also cleaned. This ensures that dirt residues, which may have remained in the rotor housing after cleaning the rotor and which can adversely affect the running of the spinning rotor, are also removed. A particularly thorough cleaning can be achieved by opening the rotor housing. If the rotor housing remains in the open state, this has the advantage that the maintenance personnel check the state of the spinning device can clearly see. It is particularly expedient to stop the rotor itself on a generic spinning device both after thread breakage and after unsuccessful attachment attempts. For this purpose, it is decoupled from its drive means, so that an unbalance in the rotor cannot cause any damage. However, it remains in the wedge gap of the support disk bearing.

Description
The present application relates to a method for operating an open-end spinning device according to the preamble of claim 1.
It is known from the prior art that open-end rotor spinning machines are provided with a mobile maintenance device which can independently remedy faults at spinning positions. Such a device is described for example by DE-A-2 008 142. A particular field of application of the maintenance devices is their use as a device for eliminating faults in yarn production. With the RU 14 rotor spinning machine from Schubert & Salzer Maschinenfabrik Aktiengesellschaft, now Rieter Ingolstadt Spinnereimaschinenbau AG 85046 Ingolstadt / Germany, a generic maintenance device is known that patrols along the spinning positions of the rotor spinning machine, communicating with a machine control center while passing the spinning stations The machine center communicates the condition of the spinning position. If the maintenance device comes to a spinning station, If there is a malfunction caused, for example, by thread breakage, the maintenance device automatically becomes active and starts the thread production again at the spinning station.
The individual steps for re-piecing are sufficiently known from the prior art and are only to be briefly reproduced here. The start-up of the spinning position begins with the above-mentioned RU 14, for example, by searching for the thread end that is located on the partially wound bobbin. A wide variety of methods are used to clean the rotor, for example pneumatic cleaning, cleaning by means of scrapers, and cleaning by means of cleaning liquids (cf. for example also DE-A-2 008 142 claims 21-24).
As a rule, the thread production is resumed by the spinning station after the first attempt at attachment. However, this does not mean that the rotor of the spinning station is not at a standstill, just as it does not stand still in the event of an operational thread break, but merely that the supply of new fibers to the spinning rotor is interrupted. The rotor itself continues to run at operating speed and thereby loads the wear parts of the spinning station, such as the rotor bearing.
The known methods therefore have the disadvantage that the spinning station is particularly heavily stressed, in particular the bearing of the rotor in the radial and axial directions, because when the spinning station is stopped, at which the rotor continues to rotate at operating speed, the thread usually occurs forming groove of the spinning rotor are fiber or thread remnants. In the worst case, these can lead to a large imbalance of the rotor. This can lead to various damage to the rotor bearing and the spinning device. The rotor becomes very unsteady in its run and can be vibrated in the radial direction. These vibrations cause a greater or lesser pressure on the support disks producing an axial thrust, whereby the rotor is axially subjected to a force that either damages the axial bearing of the rotor or the rotor is thrown in a counter-reaction from the axial bearing in the direction of the rotor cover.
The higher the speeds, the greater the imbalance of the rotor, so that an improvement is particularly important for rotor spinning devices which are operated at high speeds.
The object of the present invention is to provide a method for operating an open-end spinning device with which the Disadvantages of the prior art can be avoided and unnecessary loads on the wear parts of the spinning station can be avoided.
The present object is achieved according to the invention by the features of independent claim 1.
The method according to the invention achieves that to stop the spinning station it is made operational so that no unnecessary loads act on the rotor bearing. The particularly simple measure after the last unsuccessful attempt to spin the thread to finally clean the rotor once again significantly improves the operating condition of this spinning station in a simple manner. In particular, because spinning stations set to malfunction usually remain in this state for a long time, since the maintenance of the spinning station by personnel is only carried out at longer intervals, the application of the method of the present invention has a particularly favorable effect on the life of the individual components of the spinning station.
It is particularly favorable if the rotor housing is also cleaned.
