Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vane pump for pumping fluids from the food industry.
We know that for a pump to be usable in this industry, it must meet rigorous sanitary requirements, for example, all machined surfaces, excellent surface conditions, no nooks, ease of washing with suitable solutions, etc. Under these conditions, a conventional vane pump cannot be used, unless it is frequently dismantled for cleaning, if however it has the other criteria as to its structure.
The present invention therefore aims to fulfill the above conditions, by providing a vane pump comprising in particular no vane pusher usually requiring drilling in the shaft and the rotor, which is particularly harmful from a bacteriological point of view.
In accordance with the invention, the pump for food products is of the type comprising a stator-forming body connected to the suction and discharge conduits, in which is arranged a rotor provided with the housings of the full radial vanes and mounted on a shaft. drive, the rotor constituting a blind socket on the shaft, provided with a seal relative to the latter at the end opposite to the blind part of the socket, while a cover mounted on the body, on the blind side of the rotor, comprises an internal circular cavity and a channel opening, on the one hand, into the discharge and, on the other hand, into said cavity.
According to this arrangement, the parts located under the pallets are all in communication and subjected to the discharge pressure tending to apply them on the surface of the stator. It is thus possible to pump both fluid and viscous products, without the need for pallet pushers which would lead, as mentioned above, to the holes in the rotor and the shaft, which are bacteriologically harmful.

In these drawings, the same references designate the same elements.
Referring to the drawings, a pump according to the invention comprises in a manner known per se a
According to the invention, the
According to an advantageous embodiment of a pump according to the invention, the
It is clear that the pump according to the invention provides an easy solution to the problem posed by pumping fluids food, because it does not contain any site favoring a bacteriological accumulation and which is not susceptible to easy cleaning, while ensuring its service with maximum efficiency.
It is understood that the present invention has been described and shown for explanatory purposes but in no way limitative and that any useful modification may be made to it, in particular in the field of technical equivalences, without going beyond its ambit.
