Abstract

A vacuum cap for preventing baldness and revitalizing hair growth in case of hair fall comprises a cap made of an elastic material. The vacuum cap is turned upside down on the head (1). An adjustable band (1) is used to precisely adapt the vacuum cap on the head (4) of the wearer. Accessories shaped as a ring or an inflatable pipe (2) can be used alternatively for the same purpose. The physical principle by means of which hair growth is promoted is based on the fact that the application of a vacuum or of a negative pressure on the surface of the skin promotes blood circulation, so that the scalp is better irrigated. This has a very favourable effect on the hair roots and hair growth. Depending on the degree of elasticity of the material from which the vacuum cap is made, various means may be used to generate a negative pressure, from manual force to an electric vacuum pump.

  2. Device as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the cap is shaped in the form of a head.
  3. Device as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the convexity for securing the inflatable tube (2) or supplementary ring is formed by an inner ledge (8).
  4. Device as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that an adjustable strip (1) can be placed around the margin edge (9) of the cap.
  5. Device as claimed in one of the Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the supplementary ring is a ring comprised of a set of rings of different sizes.
  6. Device as claimed in one of the Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cap is comprised of an upper bowl-shaped part and a lower bowl-shaped part capable of being joined to the upper part in an airtight manner.
  7. Device as claimed in one of the Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the upper part features a margin rim which fits against the inside of the lower part when the upper part is joined to the lower part.
  8. Device as claimed in one of the foregoing claims, characterized in that the cap features an air valve, preferably a check valve (6), for the purpose of removing the air in the space (3) between the cap and the head (4).
  9. Device as claimed in Claim 8, characterized in that the air valve is provided in the upper part of the cap.
  10. Device as claimed in one of the foregoing claims, characterized in that at least the upper part of the cap is made of all elastic material.
  11. Device as claimed in one of the foregoing claims, characterized in that at least the upper part of the cap is made of a airtight, foldable plastic-like material, said material being supported by springs on the inside.
  12. Device as claimed in one of the foregoing claims, characterized in that at least the upper part of the cap is made of a thin, flexible material and in that the inside surface of the cap features nubs.
  13. Device as claimed in one of the foregoing claims, characterized by a pump for generating a partial vacuum or negative pressure in the space (3) between the cap and the head (4).
  14. Device as claimed in Claim 13, characterized in that at least the upper part of the cap is made of a hard material.
  15. Device as claimed in Claim 13 or 14, characterized in that the pump is an electric air pump or manually pumped bellows.
