Claims (13)
- Container, more especially a metallic container, of the type comprising two longitudinal lateral side members defining the structural volume of the container, and a plurality of support legs hinged on the body of the container and integral therewith, characterised in that each leg (12, 14), in the stowed-away position, can be retracted into the lateral side members (3, 4) of the container (1) so that no component is left to project beneath the structural volume of said container.
- Container according to claim 1, characterised in that it comprises a sleeve (7) from one side member to the other, in which sleeve the support arms (8, 9) of the legs are able to slide, these support arms being slidingly guided and held in the extreme deployed position, so that they do not escape from the sleeve (7), by means of a rod (10) provided, on one of its ends, with a stop-ring (11) welded to a leg (12) and, at its other end, by a ring (13) which is able to slide relative to the other leg (14).
- Container according to claim 2, characterised in that the stop-ring (11) is welded on the external face of the support arm (8), and in that the support arm (9) comprises, at its internal end, a leg extension stop-ring (15) and, at its external end, a welded plug (16).
- Container according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that each leg (15) comprises a support arm (16) comprising a detachable spindle (17) pivoting on a yoke (18) integral with said support arm.
- Container according to claim 4, characterised in that a reinforcing strut (19), hinged on the corresponding side member at a point (20), is hinged on the spindle (17), the reinforcing strut being displaceable, just like the support arm (16), in a substantially vertical plane, and in that the detachable spindle (17) is provided with a safety pin.
- Container according to claim 5, characterised in that the hinging (20) comprises a support plate (21) welded on the side member and carrying a screw spindle (22) with a pin, the reinforcing strut (19) being hinged on this assembly by a swivel-jointed yoke (23).
- Container according to any of claims 4 to 6, characterised in that each leg comprises, attached to the support arm, a substantially triangular bracket which, when the leg is stowed-away, penetrates an opening (25) in the corresponding side member.
- Container according to any of claims 4 to 7, characterised in that the support arm (16) comprises an attached component (28) which co-operates for locking purposes with a yoke (29) of the side member, and in that the spindle (17) and its locking pin (30) are used for locking purposes.
- Container according to any of claims 4 to 8, characterised in that it comprises, on the support arm, an attached clamp (31) to hold the reinforcing strut in the locked position on said support arm, and in that the axial passage (32) of the reinforcing strut is threaded on a teat-screw integral with the side member.
- Container according to any of claims 4 to 9, characterised in that it comprises a security lock (33) by the co-operation of a bracket, which is integral with the foot of the leg, with a yoke which is integral with the side member, with the locking achieved by the displaceable pin.
- Container according to any of claims 1 and 4 to 10, characterised in that the legs (12, 14) comprise an individual locking means.
- Container according to claim 5, characterised in that the reinforcing strut (19) is hinged on a spindle (33) integral with a side member (34) which is able to retract into a sleeve (35).
- Container according to any of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that each transversely retractable structure comprises an abutment (36) co-operating with a limiting means (37).
