Definitions
- the invention relates to a seat belt buckle for a seat belt in motor vehicles with a plug-in path provided in a buckle housing for a tongue connected to the seat belt, with a single molded part (ejector latch) forming the ejector and the latch for the tongue, which in the buckle housing both in terms of its Bolt function is pivotable and is also arranged with respect to its ejector function with its pivot axis and is loaded by a spring in its unlocked position, and with a sliding button to release the lock.
- a seat belt buckle for a seat belt in motor vehicles with a plug-in path provided in a buckle housing for a tongue connected to the seat belt, with a single molded part (ejector latch) forming the ejector and the latch for the tongue, which in the buckle housing both in terms of its Bolt function is pivotable and is also arranged with respect to its ejector function with its pivot axis and is loaded by a spring in its unlocked position, and with a sliding button to release the lock.
- a generic seat belt buckle is known from EP-0 205 279 B1; is in the known closure the single component having both the ejector function and the locking function is designed as a type of rocker which, when pivoted about its fulcrum in the closure housing, enters the associated recess of the insertion tongue at one end and enters the housing-fixed recess at its other end and thus the insertion tongue in it locked pivoted locking position.
- the component with its pivot axis is mounted for longitudinal displacement in the breech housing and thus performs the ejector function for the tongue when it is displaced longitudinally.
- the only spring acting on the rocker-like component is arranged such that it passes through a dead center between the locking function and the ejector function of the single component and thus acts on the component in the respectively desired position.
- the known closure has the disadvantage that the opening forces are considerable, since the sliding button acts on a part of the rocker-like component and must pivot it against its spring force and against a tensile force possibly acting on the tongue from its locking position in order to release it the tongue.
- the invention is therefore based on the object to reduce the opening forces required for the closure in a generic closure with few individual parts.
- the invention first provides that the pivot axis of the ejector bolt is arranged at the end of the ejector bolt opposite the bolt projection for locking the insertion tongue and above the insertion path for the insertion tongue with a self-opening tendency of the ejector bolt resulting therefrom and is guided longitudinally displaceably in a backdrop of the lock housing and that connected to the ejector bolt between a release position for the pivoting movement of the ejector bolt and a related securing position, which is guided in an associated guideway of the breech housing between its respective positions.
- a seat belt buckle with a locking bolt mounted with a self-opening tendency and an associated securing element is known in principle;
- such known closures each have a separately arranged bolt, a securing element and a separate ejector, so that such closures consist of numerous individual parts.
- the invention has the advantage that due to the mounting of the securing element on the ejector latch and due to the integration of this component, the seat belt buckle has only a few components. Due to the additionally arranged guide for the securing element and the connection of the securing element with the ejector bolt, which is specified according to the invention, the movement of the ejector latch is supported by the movement of the securing element at the same time, so that the ejector latch, in addition to guiding its axis of rotation in the associated link of the breech housing, also via the guide of the securing element experiences an additional guidance, with which a total improved functional reliability of the closure is realized.
- the guideway for guiding the securing element has a section parallel to the insertion path for the insertion tongue corresponding to the release position for the ejector bolt and a section following the pivoting direction of the ejector bolt in its locking position, with an extension to the latter section Definition of the securing element in its securing position connects.
- a compression spring is provided which is supported between the ejector bolt and the securing element mounted thereon and which presses the securing element into its position in the extension of the guideway which defines the ejector bolt in its locking position.
- the securing element is pivotally mounted on the ejector bolt with an assigned axis of rotation and is guided in the guideway of the breech housing via lateral guide lugs guided, wherein preferably the ejector bolt with hooks arranged on the side facing away from the bolt part engages over the guide lugs of the securing element, wherein at the same time the contact surface of the hooks has a course following the pivoting movement of the guide lugs of the securing element.
- the sliding button is connected to the securing element in such a way that the securing element always follows the movements of the sliding button.
- the securing element which is arranged essentially at an angle to the insertion plane of the sliding key, engages with a projection in a recess arranged on an arm of the sliding key, this recess having run-up bevels inclined in the direction of the opening movement.
- the sliding button and the locking element are coupled in their movements so that when the sliding button is pushed in to open the lock, the locking element is pivoted into its release position for the ejector bolt via the assigned sections of the guideway, while the ejector bolt then undergoes longitudinal displacement with the ejection movement for the tongue, the securing element follows the movement of the ejector bolt in the assigned section of the guideway, so that after completion of the opening movement, the sliding button can again assume its foremost position and does not remain in an indented position.
- the ejector part assigned to the ejector bolt is attached to an associated projection of the ejector bolt and can be moved in the insertion path for the insertion tongue via its pivoting movement.
- the link of the lock housing for guiding the axis of rotation of the ejector bolt has a curved course in the direction of its locking position.
- Another disadvantage of the closure known from the generic EP 0 205 379 B1 is that the known closure is not shock-proof when subjected to stress in its longitudinal axis, as occurs, for example, when the closure is used in connection with so-called belt or buckle tensioners. This is due to the fact that, with a corresponding load in the longitudinal direction of the lock in the known closure, the slide button can be pushed into the closure and then the ejector latch can be actuated in the sense of its opening movement.
- the invention is therefore based on the further object of providing shock protection for the lock according to the invention.
- the invention provides that the center of gravity of the rotatably arranged securing element on the side opposite its connection with the sliding button its axis of rotation is arranged on the ejector bolt and that the mass of the securing element corresponds to the mass of the slide button including the associated guide arms. Due to this measure and the correspondingly realized direct connection between the securing element and the sliding button, there is a cancellation of the moments acting in each case, so that the lock is shockproof.
- the seat belt buckle consists of a U-shaped buckle housing 10, in which an insertion path 12 for an insertion tongue 13 is formed by means of stampings 11.
- the insertion tongue 13 has an opening 14 for the passage of a locking part 15 of an ejector bolt 16 pivotally mounted in the housing 10.
- the locking housing 10 has a locking opening 17 in its base plate, so that the locking part 15 after reaching through the opening 14 in the insertion tongue 13 up to the locking opening 17 of the closure housing 10 is sufficient, so that a locking of the tongue 13 with the closure housing 10 is given.
- the ejector bolt 16 has at its rear end, which is opposite the bolt part 15, an axis of rotation 18 in the form of appropriately designed lateral lugs, which are guided so as to be longitudinally displaceable in associated sets 19 of the side parts of the U-shaped closure housing 10.
- the axis of rotation 18 is arranged above the insertion path 12, so that this results in a self-opening tendency of the ejector bolt 16.
- the ejector bolt 16 is mounted so as to be pivotable about its axis of rotation 18 in order to be able to carry out the locking movement, and is also arranged in the lock housing 10 so as to be longitudinally displaceable over the longitudinal extent of the link 19, the links 19 expediently being in the direction of the locking position of the ejector bolt 16 have a curved shape to support the locking movement of the ejector bolt 16 accordingly.
- the ejector bolt 16 On its side facing the insertion path 12, the ejector bolt 16 has a projection 20 onto which an ejector part 21 is attached, which is movably guided in the insertion path 12 for the insertion tongue 13 and, due to the longitudinal movement of the ejector bolt 16 caused by the scenes 19, the insertion tongue 13 acted upon in the sense of an ejection movement.
- a spring 22 is arranged which loads the ejector bolt 16 with respect to the position of its axis of rotation 18 in the scenes 19 in its front position, which corresponds to the unlocked state of the closure.
- a securing element 24 is pivotally mounted on the ejector bolt 16 about an axis of rotation 25, the securing element 24 being arranged essentially perpendicular to the insertion path 12 for the insertion tongue 13.
- the securing element 24 has lateral guide lugs 26, which are guided in a guide track 27 arranged in the side parts of the U-shaped curved closure housing 10.
- the ejector bolt 16 has associated hooks 28 which overlap the guide lugs 26 of the securing element 24 above the axis of rotation 25 and fix the securing element 24 to the ejector bolt 16. This design ensures that all movements carried out by the ejector bolt 16 are also carried out by the securing element 24.
- the guideway 27 initially has a section 29 which runs essentially parallel to the insertion path 12, which is in this respect aligned with the link 19 for guiding the ejector bolt 16 and serves to guide the securing element 24 when it is released for the ejector bolt 16, in which the securing element 24 moves or shifts together with the ejector bolt 16.
- the guide track 27 has a section 30 which essentially follows the pivoting direction of the ejector bolt in its locking position and which also serves to secure the securing element 24 due to its coupling to the ejector bolt 16, its pivoting movement to follow during the locking process.
- the section 30 is followed by a pocket-like extension 31, which in turn corresponds to the course of the section 29 and corresponds to the securing position of the securing element 24 in the locked position of the ejector bolt 16; a compression spring 32, which is supported between the ejector bolt 16 and the securing element 24, loads the securing element 24 into its securing position, in which the guide lugs 26 lie in the extensions 31 of the guideway 27.
- the securing element 24 is coupled to a sliding button 33 which is displaceably guided in the closure housing 10 and which extends with an arm 34 into the plane of the securing element and here has a recess 35 in which the free end of the securing element 24 engages.
- the recess 35 has in the direction of insertion of the sliding button 33 run-up slopes 36. Due to the given positive permanent connection between the securing element 24 and the sliding button 33 is guaranteed; that the two parts are each coordinated in their movement, so that in particular an insertion of the sliding button 33 leads to a pivoting of the securing element 24 from the securing position of the guide lugs 26 in the extensions 31 so that the unlocking movement of the lock can be initiated.
- the pushbutton 33 is pressed into the lock housing 10, the run-up bevels 36 of the recess 35 acting on the end of the securing element 24 lying in the recess and pivoting it, initially in the process get out of the pocket-like extensions 31 with the guide lugs 26 leaves. Due to the self-opening tendency of the ejector bolt 16 mediated by its mounting and the arrangement of the spring 22, the ejector bolt 16 swivels out of its locking position, the securing element 24 no longer opposing this swiveling movement because the guide lugs 26 are movable in the section 30 of the guideway 27.
- the spring 22 acting on the ejector bolt 16 now provides for a longitudinal displacement of the ejector bolt 16 which, via the ejector part 21, leads to an ejection of the insertion tongue 13 from the insertion path 12, at the same time this longitudinal movement also the securing element 24 by means of its guidance through the guide lugs 26 in Section 29 of the guideway 27 follows, and this longitudinal displacement also of the securing element is transmitted via the coupling of the securing element 24 with the sliding button 33 into a movement of the sliding button 33 in its initial position.
- the securing element 24 now holds the locking part 15 of the ejector bolt 16 out of the insertion path 12 for the insertion tongue 13 due to its fixing in the section 29 of the guideway 27, so that a free and unimpeded insertion of the insertion tongue 13 is possible after the unlocking process has been completed.
- the center of gravity 39 of the securing element 24 is arranged on the side of the axis of rotation 25 opposite its connection with the sliding key 33, and that the mass of the securing element 24 is the mass of the sliding key 33 with arm 34 or arms 34 corresponds.
