Description

The invention relates to an oven door according to the preamble of the claim.

In known ovens with a window, consisting of two or more transparent glass plates, it is known to cover the innermost glass pane facing the interior of the oven with a reflective coating, e.g. provided with a coating of tin oxide so as to prevent the escape of heat, e.g. To prevent infrared radiation from the interior of the oven as close as possible to the heat source, at least to a large extent. By switching off the heat transfer as far as possible, the outer pane forming the front of the oven, e.g. Glass pane, a surface temperature that does not fear burn injuries when touched by hand. It has now been found that, particularly in the heat treatment of food which contains a lot of water, a relatively strong condensation of the water vapor forming in the interior of the oven takes place on this inner glass pane, which greatly hinders the transparency of the viewing window as a whole.

The invention has for its object, in an oven door of the type mentioned in the preamble of the claim a condensation obstructing the view during operation to prevent or at least greatly reduce the oven temperature and to lower the temperature at the front of the oven.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the reflective coating is applied to the surface of the glass pane facing away from the interior of the oven. According to a preferred embodiment, the reflective coating is applied to the surface of the outer glass pane facing away from the interior of the oven by at least two glass panes, or a glass pane composite. In this simple way, when the interior of the oven is heated, the coating-free, unprotected and thus directly exposed to heat radiation is heated relatively strongly, so that a substantial temperature difference between the interior of the oven and the glass pane no longer occurs and, as a result, condensation is at least largely avoided. It was found that, conversely, the glass mass is protected against excessive heating when the covering is arranged on the inside, as a result of which the aforementioned temperature gradient is formed and a relatively strong condensation is the result.

The invention is explained below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing.

It shows
Fig. 1
1 shows a schematic sectional illustration of an oven with an oven door in a first embodiment,
Fig. 2
is a schematic sectional view of an oven with oven door in a second embodiment.

Figure 1 shows an oven 1, consisting of an outer housing 2 with front control panel 3 and setting member 4, with an oven muffle 5 arranged in the interior of the outer casing, which limits an oven interior 6 and with an oven door 7, which serves to close the oven muffle 5 and can be pivoted in a known manner by means of a handle 8 in the direction of the arrow into an open position (not shown) or can be moved like a drawer. A radiant heater 9 is provided on the upper muffle wall of the oven muffle 5. The oven door 7 has an outer front pane 10 made of glass material which covers the entire front surface of the oven door 7 and an inner glass pane 11 which only extends over a smaller area forming a see-through window and, like the front pane 10, is mounted on a door frame 12 or is attached. Special fastening elements 13 are provided for fastening the inner glass pane 11. On the surface facing away from the oven interior 6 of the glass pane 11 directly delimiting the oven interior 6 on the front side, in a manner known per se, for example by vapor deposition, a coating 14 reflecting heat radiation on one side is applied, which at least does not significantly obstruct the transparency or transparency of the viewing window from the front of the appliance , but largely reflects the heat rays emanating from the oven interior 6 when the oven is operating and does not allow it to escape to the outside. In order to prevent vapors or water vapor from escaping from the oven interior 6 into the interior of the door body, a sealing element 15 is provided between the fastening element 13 and the inner glass pane 11. When the interior of the oven is heated, for example by means of the radiant heater 9, heating of the glass mass of the inner glass pane 11 is not hindered, so that this pane of glass has approximately the same temperature level as the interior of the oven itself. This has the consequence that the water vapor produced during the cooking of water-containing food does not condensed on the inner surface of the glass pane 11, but the escape of heat through the outer covering 14 is largely prevented.

Versuche haben ergeben, daß insb. bei diesem Türaufbau bei Heizbetrieb des Backofens, insb. bei Betrieb des Strahlungsheizkörpers 9 eine wesentliche Absenkung der Temperatur an der Frontscheibe 10 gegenüber herkömmlichen Ausführungen stattfindet, ohne daß eine wesentliche Kondensatbildung an der inneren Glasscheibe 11 festzustellen ist.FIG. 2 again shows the oven muffle 5 with an internal radiant heater 9 and with an oven door 7 ′ which can be pivoted in the direction of the arrow and which in turn has an outer front pane 10 without an outer housing. In this exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, two glass panes 11 and 16 are fastened in the interior of the door frame 12 to fastening elements or composite frames 13. Here, the inner glass pane 11 of these two glass panes or of the glass pane assembly is not provided with a reflective coating, while the outer glass pane 16 of these two glass panes has the reflective coating 14 on the surface facing away from the interior of the oven 6, as FIG. 2 clearly shows. Experiments have shown that, in particular in the case of this door structure when the oven is in heating mode, in particular when the radiant heater 9 is in operation, there is a significant reduction in the temperature on the front pane 10 compared to conventional designs, without substantial condensate formation being found on the inner glass pane 11.
