- the dirty detergent is usually cleaned with the aid of a mechanical filter.
- this is particularly disadvantageous in that the soiled solvent of the detergent can only be partially cleaned by the filter. Smaller paint particles get back into the circuit and therefore put the control valves, spray nozzles, fittings etc. out of operation after a short time.
- mechanical filter systems require a very high level of maintenance.
- the solvent can only be used for a limited time and must be changed at intervals.
- the used solvent which can no longer be filtered, must be disposed of as special waste.
- the mechanical filter which consists of an accumulation of nonwoven fabric soaked in the solvent, must also be disposed of in hazardous waste.
- the invention avoids these disadvantages. It is based on the object of proposing a device with the features mentioned at the outset, which can be felt by one characterized by reduced maintenance effort, in particular disposal problems should noticeably be eliminated.
- the invention is characterized in that the cleaning device is designed as a distillation device, which is preceded by a collecting container for the dirty detergent and a collecting container for the distilled detergent is connected downstream.
- the soiled detergent is thus distilled in the circuit according to the invention, so that virtually completely cleaned detergent (solvent) gets back into the circuit. Possibly. the solvent supply is supplemented by a suitable control with fresh solvent (detergent) to take into account the loss of solvent due to evaporation.
- the residues from the distillation are disposed of from time to time, whereby only comparatively small volumes arise because these are largely thickened residues (colored sludge). As a rule, a single fill of detergent is sufficient.
- the two collection containers compensate for the throughput time of the medium through the distillation device, which can be a few hours, and thus ensure a constant flow of detergent.
- a suitable control or regulation is provided, which ensures that the washing device (washing roller) always has sufficient detergent available.

- a rubber cylinder 1 is provided, the circumference of which can be cleaned with the aid of a washing roller 2.
- the washing roller is located in a container 3.
- the washing roller is moistened with a suitable detergent mixture via a spray nozzle 4, as a result of which the rubber cylinder is cleaned.
- 1 also shows an outlet 5 through which the detergent mixture loaded with dirt particles leaves the container 3 and thus the washing device in the direction of the arrow 6.
- the dirty detergent then passes into a collecting container 7, to which a float 8 and a pump 9 are assigned. It then leaves the collecting container 7 via a line 10 with a volume meter 11 and reaches a distillation device 12.
- the detergent is distilled and, as indicated by the arrows 13, the distillate arrives via a line 14 in the direction of the arrow 15 to a fresh agent collecting container 16.
- a float 17 and a pump 18 are also assigned to this collecting container 16.
- each of the printing units of the machine is supplied with the cleaned detergent (fresh agent) via suitable branch lines 19a and the cleaning device according to the invention with the collecting container 7, the distillation device 12, is connected via further branch lines 22a, which open into a common collecting line 22 and the collection container 16 provides.
- the distillation device 12 is preferably electrically heated via suitable coils which heat both the floor and the walls of the device.
- the vapors then arrive through line 14 into the collecting tank 16. It is a fractional distillation and in the collecting tank 16 the fractions are mixed again. It should be mentioned in this connection that it is a detergent based on hydrocarbons.
- Another important advantage is that the water used - after the first pass - is lime-free because it is distilled water, so the sensitive parts of the washing device, in particular the spray nozzles, can no longer calcify and the system also stands out For this reason, it has a noticeably longer service life and significantly reduced maintenance.
- the actual washing device does not need a washcloth so that the detergent can flow back in a cycle.
- the detergent would remain in the washcloth, which would be disadvantageous for the reasons described.
- the distillation unit needs about 6 to 7 hours to distill with a quantity of about 80 liters of detergent. For this reason, the distillation device 12 is followed by the collection container 16, in which sufficient fresh detergent can accumulate, which is then returned to the spray nozzles 4 via the pump 18.
- the collecting container 7 serves to accumulate a sufficient amount of used detergent until it, controlled by the valve 11, is added to the device 12 as soon as the device is ready for a new distillation process.
- the device 12 in such a way that it can be distilled continuously. In this case, the collecting containers 7 and / or 16 could even possibly cease to exist.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for washing the cylinder of a printing press with the aid of a washing device, preferably a washing roller, to which a detergent is fed in a circuit, a cleaning device for the soiled detergent being provided in the circuit between the outlet and the inlet of the detergent of the washing device is.
In known washing devices of this type, the dirty detergent is usually cleaned with the aid of a mechanical filter. However, this is particularly disadvantageous in that the soiled solvent of the detergent can only be partially cleaned by the filter. Smaller paint particles get back into the circuit and therefore put the control valves, spray nozzles, fittings etc. out of operation after a short time. It is also disadvantageous that mechanical filter systems require a very high level of maintenance. In addition, the solvent can only be used for a limited time and must be changed at intervals. It is also a disadvantage of this prior art that the used solvent, which can no longer be filtered, must be disposed of as special waste. Another disadvantage is that the mechanical filter, which consists of an accumulation of nonwoven fabric soaked in the solvent, must also be disposed of in hazardous waste.
The invention avoids these disadvantages. It is based on the object of proposing a device with the features mentioned at the outset, which can be felt by one characterized by reduced maintenance effort, in particular disposal problems should noticeably be eliminated.
To achieve this object, the invention is characterized in that the cleaning device is designed as a distillation device, which is preceded by a collecting container for the dirty detergent and a collecting container for the distilled detergent is connected downstream.
The soiled detergent is thus distilled in the circuit according to the invention, so that virtually completely cleaned detergent (solvent) gets back into the circuit. Possibly. the solvent supply is supplemented by a suitable control with fresh solvent (detergent) to take into account the loss of solvent due to evaporation. The residues from the distillation are disposed of from time to time, whereby only comparatively small volumes arise because these are largely thickened residues (colored sludge). As a rule, a single fill of detergent is sufficient.
The two collection containers compensate for the throughput time of the medium through the distillation device, which can be a few hours, and thus ensure a constant flow of detergent.
A suitable control or regulation is provided, which ensures that the washing device (washing roller) always has sufficient detergent available. Parts of this control system are floats, which ensure that the volumes of detergent in the collection containers do not drop below a certain level.
In the case of a multicolor printing machine (rotary printing machine), a cleaning device according to the invention is sufficient for all printing units of the machine.

First, the principle of the device according to the invention is explained with reference to FIG. 1.
A rubber cylinder 1 is provided, the circumference of which can be cleaned with the aid of a
The dirty detergent then passes into a
There, the detergent is distilled and, as indicated by the
From there, the cleaned detergent reaches the inlet of the
The principle outlined above is also implemented in a multicolor rotary printing press as outlined in FIG. 2. It can also be seen from this that each of the printing units of the machine is supplied with the cleaned detergent (fresh agent) via
It can thus be seen that the soiled detergent (solvent) is cleaned and separated from color residues, paper dust, paper residues, water and lime completely clean. Absolutely clean solvent is therefore always available and can be used again. This method also does not require any external disposal. The (dry or preferably still liquid) residues in the
The
Another important advantage is that the water used - after the first pass - is lime-free because it is distilled water, so the sensitive parts of the washing device, in particular the spray nozzles, can no longer calcify and the system also stands out For this reason, it has a noticeably longer service life and significantly reduced maintenance.
It is also important that the actual washing device does not need a washcloth so that the detergent can flow back in a cycle. When using a washcloth, as is the case with some washing devices, the detergent would remain in the washcloth, which would be disadvantageous for the reasons described.
The distillation unit needs about 6 to 7 hours to distill with a quantity of about 80 liters of detergent. For this reason, the
However, it would also be conceivable to design the
